RHOP Welp...Karen and Monique DEMOLISHED Gizelle. It’s almost as if Gizelle and her minions thought Monique would just come quietly to the reunion, let them ice her out/scream at her and she’d just quietly leave the show. How was Gizelle not prepared for this?! She looked STUNNED! And you KNOW she wanted to lie about that being Jamal’s number lol. It was the best use of receipts I’ve seen and this was only part one. I have a feeling it’s going to be very hard waiting for the extended third part. I also just echo the comments about Wendy. I want to like her, but the connection with Gizelle makes it hard. You can’t claim to be all about girl power, but be friends with the biggest hater. Like you all, I’m very curious what the cast will look like next season. Honestly I’d be happy if only Candiace didn’t return, but after this I wonder if Gizelle will want to go back. RHOA Im going to make my Housewices Resolution not to judge newbies before they debut. I assumed Gina and Emily would be great on OC based on a gorgeous cast photo. I was wrong. I assumed Sutton on BH would be boring based on pictures and she was amazing. Now with one episode I feel Drew is the best newbie since Kenya for this show. I thought she’d be boring and quiet, but she came in very interesting and I see why she always had a peach! The relationship with her husband is so interesting! Missing for 3 days and won’t tell you where he is? Either he cheating or doing something illegal. Ima say cheating. La Toya was fine, but she does seem a little low rent for the group. I’m not sold on her. Overall though, the new group has chemistry. They’re definitely making the most of Covid. We got a good group scene and also interesting solo stuff for Drew and Kandi. That’s one thing RHOA does better than anybody. They always deliver.

It’ll be interesting to see how they justify the loans to Erika because she’s a drag queen! She is not a musician. I’m a drag queen as well and I remember one time they were thinking of booking her to perform with us and she wasn’t much more than a popular drag race girl. Her expenses HAVE to exceed the money coming in. From the glam squads, music which is all out of pocket, custom made costumes and shoes, expensive travel (private jets/luxury tour buses/insane hotels). She isn’t a Kandi or Tamar who has a record deal, this is all out of pocket and you can’t make that money back on a tour of gay clubs. If Tom needed to use her as a front I don’t know why he didn’t throw in a more traditional business like a restaurant or something.

Okay now Wells Fargo is suing Tom. I’m sorry, but between this and the lawsuits glossed over last season, they can’t ignore this. It’ll be interesting to see how they handle all this. What was a simple divorce is now a huge mess lol. She may earn her Diamond this year!

I’ve often thought of a Peyton Place reboot, but I can’t exactly place it. Like y’all have said, I would HATE it on CW, which is ironic because I would take Dark Shadows on CW, but this would be Peyton Place in name only. I think the best place for it would likely be ABC again or a streaming service. I also think a soap format would work for it again. Even if they just do two weekly half-hour episodes like the original did initially. Thinking back to the AMC/OLTL reboots, I think a smart way to do a new soap would be half hour episodes and max it out at 2-3 episodes per week and do 40 episode seasons. It would likely be more manageable budget wise than keeping it open ended. Plus, if it’s successful you can always add onto it. A modern PP with two episodes a week, 20 weeks and a multi generational cast with modern storylines could absolutely become a buzz worthy show again.

This was way more interesting than I expected. I only know Ilene and Malcolm, because I’ve only seen the SOAPnet run, but obviously I know the characters of Frank and Little John, so I was still able to connect with everyone. Definitely would *love* more Ryan’s Hope. So many cast members are still out there who I’d love to hear from. Also since y’all mention it, I still think moving RH for Loving was a huge mistake. RH was critically acclaimed and had good ratings. I feel had they not messed with it, they likely could’ve kept that show on the air into the 00s. I get that Agnes was a name, but if you don’t have space for the show then you shouldn’t have done it. Or put it at noon. I also find it sad that Ryan’s Hope ended when it did because I’ve read that final year was really strong.

I am going to disagree. I will say I’ve never done as big of an about face as I have with Jen. I just knew she’d be my favorite, but I cannot stand her. She is fronting 100%. She has a small house in the suburbs and is renting that house, her car is rented and her glam squad is her family. I’m sure those clothes are rented too. She’s been trying overtime to make this feud with Mary work and it doesn’t add up. I think she’s jealous of Mary’s wealth for sure and I do think Mary being black bothers her because she’s fitting in better and they’re the only minorities in the cast. At first I thought the hospital comment was rude, but we see that Mary didn’t mention Jen specifically, which Jen admitted episode one. And then she kept mentioning her Aunt, which Mary didn’t know about at the time, to make it seem like Mary was making fun of her Aunt. Mary apologized and still we have Jen telling the girls they can’t be friends with Mary (which is childish) and making fun of her marriage. I also thought it was a dig to apologize to Meredith at Mary’s event and pay Mary dust. I completely saw why Mary got upset and I hate that nobody defended Mary in person, only in the talking heads because they’re afraid Jen will blow up at them. Im also not believing Jen’s version of events about the 7/11 comment, which she clearly held on to weaponize in this quest to make everybody hate Mary. Jen has shown she lies and exaggerates for me to take her word over an actual Black woman. Mary has bit her tongue this entire time so I loved watching her gather Jen at the luncheon. I still don’t see Jen having many friends by the end of the season. As for Mary being anti-black, I just don’t see it. She seems to have a lot of emotional issues stemming from her marriage, but to me she looks black, she has a largely black church, via Instagram she only listens to black music and from what I’ve seen from her real life, her friends are all black. I just don’t buy what Jen is trying to sell.

@Taoboi I think that is another scam from Erika and Tom. He had all this time to respond and conveniently waited until a lawsuit was filled saying their divorce was a scam? Just looks to me like he’s playing hardball to undercut that lawsuit. “How could it be fake if I’m asking her to pay my attorney fees and asking for no spousal support?” That’s just my speculation.

I’ve continued trying to watch the show and just like when I initially watched the show, I find it hard to watch without Nicollette. What’s particularly insulting is when they bring on Vanessa Williams as an exact replica of Edie. It was so similar that you can’t help but compare the two and Williams was terrible in the part.

Jen is a dog for that! She is one of two people who knew that and threw it out for such a petty reason. That isn’t what friends do. I hate bitches like that. After tomorrow we will have pretty much the entire trailer so I’m excited for what’s to come SLC is full of surprises. This feels like a season 3 or 4 because it’s such a well oiled machine. Everybody is pulling their weight and bringing it. Hell, I’d even be okay with a filler episode at this point because they’ve given so much! Now Potomac?! Going out with a damn BANG! That finale clip plus everything that has happened has me hyped for the reunion.

BH has 3 cast members and 2 crew members with covid which is why they had to shut down. They'd all been filming together so they HAVE to quarantine. When Shannon got it they hadn't been filming together.

Kyle, Kathy and Dorit all have Covid which is why production really shutdown. All are doing well thankfully! If this stuff isn’t a storyline she better not have a Diamond. It’s not surprising though as many fans speculated this is what a sham divorce to protect their finances.

Dallas looks solid! I had to roll my eyes when Brandi said she contemplated suicide. That’s a damn lie. She knew when she racked Leaanne over the coals that she had done that. People called her out online for it. She’s just trying to avoid responsibility by making herself the victim in this situation. If she were truly sorry she’d apologize fully and we’d see footage of her growing, not making excuses. I’m glad Tiffany will be around to let her have it. One good thing is that they didn’t show Jen in the trailer and rumor has it she’s a part of major drama. I love when they don’t show everything in the trailer. They showed just enough to make me want to watch!

With LA people seem upset it’s possibly getting canceled, but it’s ratings were truly horrendous and neither season was great. I feel they have a couple standout characters, but it largely fell flat. I also do think Bravo promoted the show and gave it good time slots for both seasons. The only Married to Medicine show that was robbed was Houston which had a GREAT first season and was dumped on Friday night with absolutely no promo. I would’ve much rather seen more of that show and I feel with promotion it would’ve been successful.

Looks interesting. I’d be willing to give it a go. Jersey looks beautiful from the promo. I hope it’s more Melbourne in terms of quality and less Cheshire which can be so hit or miss.

I forget what anniversary it was, but CBS All Access released the first 25 episodes of B&B to celebrate and to this day they still remain. Something like that would be nice. They have the platform. Little drops like that could entice more soap fans to subscribe and all the soaps have streaming homes where they can do that. That’s just something small they can do. P&G could have their own channel similar to The Doctors and a lot of their stuff is already converted.

For such a popular soap Y&R has always had a horrible output online. We really have been spoiled this past year or two. We’ve seen stuff from the 70s and 80s in particular that we never thought we’d see. Every year I hope it’s the year someone does something official for soaps streaming and I’m again going to hope for that in 2021. I mean we did finally get The Doctors app so maybe we will get lucky. I’m hopeful for Y&R that the high ratings for the classics leads them to doing something on CBS All Access.

I wonder if this will in any way change Kelly's mind on Covid being a hoax.

@DaytimeFanIm curious how you will feel about Mary when you see episode three. For me, the second and third episodes completely changed my opinion of her. She’s still wacky, but being introduced to her family and hearing more of her backstory really changed my opinion of her. Also, the scene at church was AMAZING! Based on the hospital feud I couldn’t imagine her as a pastor, but I now find her a very kind, but damaged person.

Until you pointed it out, I didn’t realize that this is potentially the season 5 reboot with the same three originals and three newbies lol. Heather is only a friend so I don’t expect her to always be around. She didn’t go on the Salem cast trip but I’m hoping she ends up as more than a guest. Onto Salt Lake City, episode 3 is on demand if y’all want to watch it early. My guess is they did this because of Thanksgiving next week. I haven’t watched it yet, but did watch episode 2 which was also fantastic. I also noticed we got another flashback, this time from four months ago. I guess the rumors of them getting a new production company mid season was true. One unpopular opinion I’ll say is that Jen is the most unlikable HW for me. I tried to give her a shot, but this episode and the preview for episode 3 ruined her for me. I hate a grown woman trying to force people not to film with or be friends with someone because of an issue THEY have. Then to make matters worse, after seeing the end of the party, I’m 100% on Mary’s side about the hospital thing. Jen kept weaponizing her Aunt and making it seem like Mary was making fun of her. Mary didn’t know about her Aunt and clearly said the room smelled like hospital. She explained why multiple times and apologized but Jen wants to have a problem. Jen is trying too hard, fronting in her rented house and is using Mary for a storyline. Mary is kooky, but in this case she didn’t do anything. Jen better be careful before she turns the entire cast against herself. A surprise for me was how much I enjoyed Whitney this week. She seems young and sweet but she showed her smarts this week with how she handled Lisa. I think she’ll be a pleasant surprise this season.

The Potomac women (except Monique, Katie and sometimes Karen) always try too hard and look tacky at the reunion. This year Monique is the stand out for me. In upcoming news, Dallas should be announced soon and New York is still filming. It’s looking like Bershan may have an Apple, but time will tell. A fan busted her and Eboni arguing in the middle of the street on their recent cast trip, so at least we know they’re bringing it.

Normally I’d wait, but YouTube has been pulling so many soap episodes that I’m going to watch this right now. What a treat!

Tomorrow is basically Bravo day on The Real. Joining Garcelle as a guest cohost will be Eboni from RHONY and Nene is the guest! Will be interesting to see how that goes with them in and her basically hating Bravo right now.

Honestly, you won’t miss the first 69 episodes. From what I’ve read, creatively the show wasn’t very good and the syndicated jump off part is perfect. Plus there’s so many episodes so I’m looking forward to a long binge.

I never paid attention to this show because I figured it was a deeply religious stuff without much in terms of drama. After reading this thread and seeing that it’s available online I decided to start with episode 1(70). I planned to just test it, but I’m onto my fourth episode now. The brief recap was very effective and it was extremely easy to jump into. I don’t have any desire to go back nor do I feel like I missed anything. It’s obvious they had creative struggles and this was their retool and so far it’s doing it’s job in keeping me interested. The production values and sets are fantastic. The acting isn’t bad either for a non union production. Story wise I’m enjoying everything. Lori’s accident and Jeff and his wife’s marriage issues are both good jumping off points. I was looking for a new show to watch and it looks like I found it! Thanks to you guys for the posts and info which led me to watch!

RHOC fans, there are lots of Twitter rumors which at least suggest we should keep an open mind for next season. For one, Kelly revealed on Instagram that she’s barred from WWHL. That may have already been mentioned, but it’s obvious she’s out. On top of that, due to the current reception, they’re already casting for next season. They’re reaching out to two former HWs about a return and have two new HWs in mind. Obviously if you’re bringing in four potential HWs, that’s a bloodbath. The craziest thing about the returning HWs is that rumors suggests it’s Alexis and Lizzie they’ve reached out to. You can’t convince me they won’t try to get Tamra back, but I imagine money could potentially squash that. Now if they brought back all three that could be iconic. I’m just happy they seem to be making real changes to the show.
