Slightly off topic, but Kathy Hilton’s husband is being implicated in some of the Ghislaine documents released tonight. Now that I think about it, this isn’t off topic. Knowing how these ladies love to hit below the belt, I can’t imagine how Kyle would react if this comes up next season...

That’s a shame! It’s crazy she lasted so long if they could never find use for her. It seems like she’d be ripe to really invest in a recast and transform the role. Another question for people who watched at the time, I know when the Brooks sisters returned in 1984, the actress who played Chris had aged a lot and also gained a lot of weight. I know her recast was a slim brunette (which threw me off). Did she gain that weight while in the role? Did that have anything to do with her leaving the show or did she leave on her own accord? I only ask because I know soaps have a history of being difficult if women gain weight. Especially with Snapper being such a valuable character to them I could see that being an issue.

Before I get to Beverly Hills, I wanted to speak on ATL. I know we wonder every season, but I think this might be the year Marlo snags a peach. Currently Marlo, Kenya, Kandi and Cynthia have been filming for about two weeks. Porsha is about to join them and then Drew and Latoya will start filming. Tanya made it seem like she’d just be a guest. Based on numbers I wonder if Marlo could slide through if Latoya or Drew don’t give what they want in terms of content. Now onto RHOBH, I thought this was a lot sadder than I expected. We’ve heard about it, but in execution it came off horribly. Garcelle and Denise were so excited and the girls were salivating to have an issue. They couldn’t WAIT to destroy Denise at dinner. By contrast, Sutton and Garcelle had a small issue, Garcelle apologized and now they’ve become good friends. I loved that Dorit and Sutton spoke up for Denise. Teddi came off like a total [!@#$%^&*]. Your issue is that Denise was allegedly talking [!@#$%^&*]. The build up to something “soooo bad” honestly felt homophobic and the way they framed it was to make it worse than it was IMO. That was done for maximum impact. And to do it when y’all are in another country and the girl has no support system? I’m very curious how the rest of the episodes will unfold. I presume that the trip will be around 3 episodes and they’ll have a couple episodes back in BH to wrap up. I wonder how much we will see Denise going forward.

I just watched the first two episodes or hour long clips in the vault from 1982. I always zero in on the Brooks family since they’re a mystery to me. Watching I find the Lucas actor to be so captivating when we see them and he is so handsome. It seems like trying to keep him was never in the cards, but I wish they did. With the Brooks sisters I do get it. It seems Jaime Lyn Bauer truly was their biggest female star, so I can understand not wanting her memory lingering over had her sisters stayed. I like the one episode of the recast Chris that I saw (Although she seemed very different), but I feel her being a recast is what ended that. What ever happened with the red head sister? She never was recast, but it never seems like they tried to develop her. She could’ve been the perfect sister to redevelop the family around since she hadn’t been featured as much as the others.

With New York, I don’t know that I’d trust anything Ramona says. If they test prior to filming the reunion and do separate seating instead of couches they should be fine. Either way they need to figure it out since they’ll be filming a new season soon.

By chance do you have any 2004 episodes with Joan Van Ark as Gloria? I’ve been dying to see her again and can’t find anything.

Yes! She’s saying this vindicates her and proves her story lol. To me, that is Denise giving her the option of saving money. Nowhere is Denise pressuring her to stay with her. The timing is also weird with Denise’s kids and husband staying there. Where were they when this happened? It’s just a weird story. ETA: Brandi released MORE texts and it continues to make Denise look better lol. From what Brandi is saying, the ladies said Denise was talking [!@#$%^&*] about her at BravoCon which is what led to Denise revealing the affair to them. Denise keeps defending herself by saying Brandi will see on camera she isn’t lying. It doesn’t seem like Denise is lying in anyway.

Can y'all help me understand this? I feel this supports Denise more than it supports Brandi's story that Denise coerced her into staying with her. Click the link to see the full text, but Denise gives her the option of paying for a hotel room right next to Patrick Muldoon or staying with her if she wants to save money. From Brandi's response, you can tell her ass ain't got no money because she jumped at the chance to stay with Denise. Had she just said they hooked up and kept it moving I may believe her, but this whole thing about Denise pressuring her into staying with her and pressuring her into sex (which is sexual assault) is a bit much to take. Especially with these weak receipts.

@will81 From the lawsuit, we know Days needs money. Based on that, it’s insane Ken Corday doesn’t get Days streaming. You could put it on Peacock where it can get revenue due to the ads, or like The Doctors and do a fee where people pay to watch the episodes. People are insanely crazy about Days online. They’d easily make money doing something like that.

Twitter has figured out that the Denise sit down was likely filmed after the trip to Rome. Teddi posted wearing the outfit from the sit down on December 2nd. The sit down was November 17 allegedly, but they were at BravoCon then...

She said that she feels they all deserve to be paid for the spin off because it wouldn’t happen the season 9 storyline. Personally I disagree because a second spin off was bound to happen after the success Vanderpump Rules. Tonight’s episode was the first where I wasn’t sold this season. It felt boring. I did enjoy the Sutton/Garcelle scene. I think they could be a fun pair and I liked that Garcelle got Sutton to loosen up. The Brandi stuff is where I was lost. Brandi suddenly claimed that Denise has iced her out, but Brandi made great effort to interact with her at the party and they got along just fine. The scene at Kyle’s was SO staged. Whether they had sex or not we will see, but based on what she said so far I do not believe it. The way she framed it to make herself the victim felt false. Also, in Rome how is Teddi mad about what Denise said when she told her that to her face? She acted so shocked! Erika can also go somewhere because everybody has told her that she’s cold. It was amazing to see how positive Garcelle and Denise were going to the airport and everybody else is just miserable.

It amazes me that reruns of The Doctors, a LONG forgotten soap, have been so successful that they have their own streaming service that you have to pay for. You can convince me that people pay for that, but wouldn’t pay to stream the current or more well known soaps. The fact that they don’t even try is crazy. It doesn’t even have to be on All Access! If they did a separate “soap” channel on Amazon Id gladly pay to subscribe. With Proctor & Gamble, they had the AOL deal and Another World used to be on Hulu. They could easily stock a Soap Channel since that stuff has already been converted.

@mikelyons I don’t know how I missed it, but I kept seeing reference to your story and went back to read it. Thank you for sharing that! Based on everything we know, we KNOW things are bad. That isn’t a question, but what I always wonder is how much worse the things we DONT know are. Victoria Rowell if you notice is rarely speaking about herself directly, but things that would impact other actors and also the crew. What you gave us is a glimpse at what things are like behind the scenes for black crew members. That is something we have very little knowledge of so I am thankful for that! People have their opinions about him, but it made me think of Jamey Giddeons who mentioned how he tried to get jobs on all the soaps and was turned down for any kind of writing position, but then he ended up with a show on OWN. It’s amazing that a major, bankable producer would get him a primetime show, yet he would’ve been happy on the writing staff of a daytime soap and he couldn’t even get that. We know why. I’m glad that like him you have found success and a career you enjoy outside of soaps. I know CBS is doing this diversity mandate for behind the scenes, but you can’t convince me that will include their soaps. I just don’t know what it will take to change things, but I don’t see things changing in front of or behind the scenes.

@Cat Yea, he didn’t convince me either, but I hope at least New York has major change. Personally (and I know it won’t happen) I’d keep Leah, Dorinda, Luann and Sonja and bring back Heather and a new black Housewife. I honestly would also give Elyse an Apple, but if she can’t even make a reunion she would never get another shot. Learning more about her, her husband and her lavish life I feel as a true HW she’d have an interesting story. She’s improved so much since she became an official friend and gets screentime. I can’t imagine how well received she’d be if we actually saw her life. In the end though, I expect we will get the same cast and maybe one white newbie. Now on the flip side, it’s early to discuss, but I wonder if they’ll ever make changes to Beverly Hills. Last season Lisa Rinna threatened to sue Bravo if they did Vanderpump Dogs. Now that we know they will I wonder if she plans to follow through with that. Plus now she’s bitching nonstop about the reunion, which only tells me she looked terrible at it. Her time is up. She had no story once again, but she feels like a lifer. Same goes for Erika whose story is clearly done. Same goes for Teddi, but she’s Kyle’s best friend so I feel the best we can hope is her as a heavily featured friend. I do think this season of Beverly Hills has been good, but they need to look at what worked and continue with the revamp. I’d keep Garcelle, Kyle, Dorit and Denise and bring on a friend of Garcelle and either upgrade Sutton or bring back Camille with a diamond. The only way I would maybe consider keeping Rinna is because it might be interesting to see how she plays without Teddi and Erika and on the outs with Denise and Garcelle. The problem with Rinna is that they likely will keep Erika and Teddi and the alliance will ruin any chance of a refreshed season. The one thing Beverly Hills needs to get out of is centered the season around one person for a petty reason. As long as the core of Kyle, Teddi, Rinna and Rrika remains that brand of storytelling will also remain.

Elyse said she won’t be at the RHONY reunion. Considering how limited the content was, they need all six wives and Elyse there. She was at pretty much every event.

Dorit’s lawsuits were mentioned early on and she’s had a great season. She’s more relaxed and open which works for her. Erika’s only story has been doing Broadway and we’ve seen a couple scenes with her husband. For the past few episodes she hasn’t done anything but complain about Denise. Rinna’s only story was her daughters eating disorder, but that’s gone and she does nothing but complain about Denise. Kyle’s lawsuits haven’t been mentioned, but I do think she’s had a good drama filled season so far. Katie DID have a breakdown. The lawsuit with her ex-husband caused her to be fired for season two. You’ll notice she awkwardly appeared in a few season two episodes, but she disappeared. She is doing much better now, but when she returned for season four it was a very dark period in her life. She still hasn’t seen her kids in years and on Instagram she’s documented how much money she’s spent just trying to get a visit. It seems her ex is very wealthy which is making the fight more difficult than it normally would be.

Brandi is so full of it. On her podcast which she just uploaded, she tells how she decided with production not to do the reunion. She said these women need to earn their own paycheck instead of focusing on her. She also said she feels bad for Denise due to the pileup because this is between the two of them. Girl what? Then why not discuss with Denise and not everybody else?!

Brandi speaks in that article. She says she mutually agreed for her not to attend the reunion, it wasn’t Denise’s fault. They’re doing a one on one with Brandi and Andy and the actual reunion is the main cast plus Sutton.

The reason Denise’s cease and desist may have worked is because Brandi has admitted she was lying. On The show next week she says “we fucked,” but on her podcast she is now saying that they kissed one night. The entire rest of the season is based around Denise and Brandi having a sexual affair which Brandi now admits was a lie. Why did people want Brandi to return? She was fired bc she makes up story and here she goes again. She was trying to get a Diamond that is all. ETA: Garcelle and Denise have unfollowed Rinna, Erika and Teddi. I noticed Garcelle still follows Kyle so I wonder what happened there.

@daysgoby Wow! I had no idea Teri Hatcher filmed separately! I’m rewatching the series and I read when Nicollette Sheridan was fired the original plan was to kill Susan. Maybe that is why. I do think as I’m almost finished that losing Nicollette hurt the show tremendously. Her final episode showed how well her character could fit if fleshed out. Without her the show lost a sense of humor and it’s heart. I feel Eva Longoria carries the show once she left.

Okay here's a bit regarding the Beverly Hills reunion.... Shame we have to wait so long until this airs, unless based on what Rinna is saying they'll have to cut stuff which may cut down the amount of episodes. Now I'm starting to believe the break WASNT due to covid.

It’s obvious production invited Camille back and I think the intention was to use her as a full Friend the rest of the season, but the Brandi secret caused them to dump Camille and focus on that It’s a shame because Camille brings organic drama whereas Brandi always seems to be faking it. She was so nice to Denise and they’re actual friends but next week she throws her under the bus for Kyle who she barely is cool with? That is purely to get back on the show! As for Eileen, I don’t think she has a problem with Denise. She defended her regarding the secret on Bravo’s Daily Dish and mentioned that due to working together at CBS that they’ve become friends. Btw, it has been remarkably quiet when it comes to the Beverly Hills reunion. Only Denise and Brandi posted pictures from what I’ve seen. I wonder how that went.

Why are they filming before New York when they aren’t as far in terms of aired episodes?! This is so odd! I imagine it’ll be another two months before this reunion airs. I wonder if they’re filming it to wrap things up so they can start filming the next season. I also hate that this likely means another lame ass digital reunion.

Ramona should’ve left Elyse and Leah alone. If this is any indication, they’re gonna tear her ass up at this reunion!😭
