  1. One thing I’ll give Mal is that I do think had he remained that he was going to use Ana more than what we got. The only regret I have about his exit is that it was before he could develop her character and Fen. I also agree with y’all in terms of Asian characters. I thought Ravi and Juliet both had long term potential and fit in well. Juliet have Cane his best story and he was morphing into the new Brad Carlton. Considering how much screentime he got and how juicy that material was, I still find it insane Daniel Goddard complained so much. I wanna say that story doubled his yearly episode appearances. Just crazy! One thing that has bothered me recently is that CBS Daytime has posted these things about “Stop Asian Hate” but their soaps don’t have one Asian character. In fact, I don’t think any soap does except Terry on GH who is also Trans which means she won’t get a story. Ditto for Brad who is gay. It’ll be interesting to see if in the coming months we start to see any Asian characters pop up as a result of this.
  2. This is confusing. I didn’t think ABC was involved enough to know this or care. In a way I am happy because although I love Todd, I don’t really have interest in him without his proper Llanview family. My biggest issue with them going a different direction is that they’ve been known to put people in stupid roles instead of what makes sense. Hell, making him Franco was incredibly stupid. Someone like Tom Hardy would make sense and they could potentially bring back Simone and TJ, but you know that would never happen.
  3. They uploaded two episodes? I thought they were only doing one! That’s a nice surprise. Im subscribed but the app never works for me. I’ll give it a go and see if I can watch these episodes.
  4. After seeing what Ann did at Knots Landing I’ve always had a lot of respect for her as a writer. She came back during a production shut down when the show was the worst it’s ever been and instantly turned it around! She’d been gone for around 10 years and the show had changed so much but she hit the ground running! She also handled a lack of budget better than most would have.
  5. This woman is insane! She is in court tomorrow and has people posting stuff like this for her? Much like Erika Jayne, I don’t see how these people don’t see that could could hurt them during a trial or sentencing.
  6. Alan looked like a robot malfunctioning when she called Irna a bitch lol. You could tell he was thinking if he should change the subject! I do agree with you that she seems much sharper than Cooper at the end, but I just mean just like Cooper was always able to lead her own stories, I could see Prinz doing the same and being popular. I hope she makes it back to the stage soon. I’m amazed she still acts! I truly had no idea she’d had such a successful career. Now I’m doing a deep dive into her background.
  7. I just started the Rosemary Prinz interview, but I wanted to say that she is incredibly sharp and looks much younger than her age. Seeing her this vibrant at 90, it makes me sad ATWT didn’t use her more in their final years. She could’ve been a Jeanne Cooper style presence for them.
  8. More generally, I think most of the Y&R head writers of the past 10 years struggle with letting go more than any particular character. You have people like Chloe, Kevin, Chelsea, Lauren and Michael (among others) who remain on the show but the writers either don’t use them or don’t have anything compelling to write for them. Still, they remain. The best thing SSM did was writing out Kevin, Chloe and Chelsea because there simply wasn’t a story for them. Now they’re back and they’re still useless. B&B also has the problem of letting go. Their contract and recurring cast the past five years has been one of the strongest of any soap, but the vast majority it seems like Brad isn’t inspired to write for them. It’s odd because he could easily still keep Hope/Steffy/Liam on the front burner nonstop, but they can’t seem to tell more than one story at once so everybody else languishes and is lucky to get a C tier short term story in the background.
  9. They did the Queens of Drama reality show together and since then Crystal has put Donna in a few of the projects she produced. They seem to be good friends. I'm excited for this and hope it leads to Alan interviewing more primetime soap people. I'd love a new Joan Van Ark interview. She always give fascinating insight.
  10. This is truly insane as it unfolds! I remember some of her assistants had their faces blurred out. Now I'm wondering if those were the people working undercover. It seems like this case was in the works LONG before she started filming and the level of fraud and steps taken to hide it are shocking. How much time do yall think she'll get? Obviously she'll take a deal. I wonder if she'll continue filming like Teresa did. ETA: I just finished RHOD and I felt D'Andra's frustration. She called it when she broke the fourth wall with producers, she knew they'd all gang up on her for the tame comments about Brandi's racist video. I don't understand how those women can keep defending Brandi's actions and demonizing anybody (Tiffany and D'Andra) who calls her out on it. It's *so* obvious she's pissed and not sorry about it and that these other women are just as bigoted as she is. It's like there is a complete blind spot. D'Andra said nothing wrong and they just piled on at the end of the episode. I hate we didn't get a preview to see where it goes. I hope D'Andra and Tiffany go into the reunion guns blazing. Andy too. They need to stop giving these women a pass.
  11. I just can't see them doing Moses justice. I do think the casting is good, he looks like Sofia and Neil more than the child actor, but I also don't like that they'll like omit Sofia from his teen/adult life.
  12. Allegedly some of the Shah Squad/glam team were undercover agents. This clearly has been investigated for a long time. I know everybody thinks Mary is next, but I truly think she’s covered. Her husband? Not sure, but she took Teresa’s advice head on and said she doesn’t plan on hiding anything because it always comes out. It’s always the ones you least expect (Teresa, Jen, Erika).
  13. I need to go see Mary! This is too much for me lol!
  14. I hope they got it on camera! I been telling y’all her lifestyle didn’t add up with what we’re saying! The “first assistant” she was arrested with is also the owner of the Porsche she drives around in. This is insane! I wonder if she’ll be able to continue filming.
  15. I loved that interview. As I said before, Rae was one of my favorites and I loved what Michael and Kim brought to the story. I don’t mind Michael dying, but I do wish Kim and Rae had remained long term. I was happy that Louise stayed on despite her technical difficulties because she still got to give us some good stories. It made me sad to hear her talk about how she moved to writing due to her looks. To me she is gorgeous and it’s unfortunate she couldn’t have continued to be valued even as she aged. To me she remained gorgeous and if a soap were smart they’d use her similar to how B&B kept Stephanie viable as Susan Flannery aged. The acting should be the most important thing and Louise was a powerhouse.
  16. I was surprised that neither Aidan or David Hayward made the jump to GH considering the connection to Anna and popularity of both actors, but if their handling of Alex is any indication, it might be better to not bring them over.
  17. Alan is still in PR mode so i doubt he’ll do more than mention it exists.
  18. I’ve never seen an episode of Loving or The City, but I was bored and this came up on my Youtube recommendations so I decided to watch. Ive heard the stories about how innovative The City was and finally getting to see it I was very impressed! The direction in the episode was a sight to behold. The cast also seemed fantastic. This felt like a daytime Melrose Place with the loft setting. If they ever decided to stream this I think it would hold up very well! Now I’m curious to see more and may even check out some Loving episodes.
  19. Okay this looks excellent! Firsr things first, it looks like Eboni fits in PERFECTLY and will be a newbie that can jump right in with this challenging group of ladies. The small snippet we got of Heather vs Leah tells me I’m going to be Team Heather. Leah in general came off annoying. Didn’t get Bershan other than background, but I’m hoping she has a stronger presence in the mid season trailer. I assume filming for her picked up when Heather quit.
  20. The way I saw it was, when she took the extended maternity leave, the show moved on and she’s never been able to recover from that. Even her connection to Phyllis was mostly replaced with Sharon. Once writers started changing over I feel all hope for her was lost because she wasn’t a main character when those writers came on. The only decent thing she’s gotten in 15 years was probably when she had the miscarriage. I think she even got an Emmy nom for that. I think if they were willing to write her a real story she’d do it, but being so stuck with Paul is also a character killer. She should be mixing it up with the major players not stuck with Paul.
  21. Oh wow! That lineup I will definitely be tuning in for. I know many didn’t like her, but I was totally invested in the Rae/Kimberley storyline and I wish both characters had remained longer. Just in general I loved Rae so that could be why I accepted Kimberly. I can’t wait to hear what they have to say!
  22. Andy hasn’t even asked for reunion questions yet, but has for ATL. I wonder when they’ll get around to Dallas? Surely the season must almost be done.
  23. Tammin Sursok who was woefully miscast as Colleen Carlton on Y&R, couldn’t do an American accent to save her life.
  24. I loved her as Sarah. She brought such energy to the role and managed to create such a modern heroine who still had flaws and great sex appeal. I hope she’s well health wise and that isn’t the reason behind her leaving.
  25. I agree with y’all that Dallas came together in the way we were all hoping for. I felt like this episode was more balanced than the heaviness of Tiffany and D’Andra having to carry the season as they have. I mean they were still central to this episodes success, but I feel like Kary, Kam and Brandi (and Momma Dee) also contributed in a big way which made this episode spark. With that said, Brandi is still garbage and I am ready for her to be gone. The way she treated D’Andra was shameful and I question her motives. I’m glad D called the ghost hunting demon out on being a hypocrite. My question for you guys is....do y’all see Brandi coming to the reunion? There is absolutely no way I see that happening. None! Not with the video of her hubby cheating, the way she’s acted this season and lord knows what’s to come. She quit mid season for a reason.
