oh...please spare me w/ that awful Celia! what about her brother? the original portrayer was all right, but the recast made me wanna puke

Oh yeah, in hindsight, the first Rafeal Ortega (A.J. Lamas) wasn't that bad.

OMG, I totally forgot about the raft children! ATWT sunk to a new low then.

Spencer Grammer is at the acting level that Peyton was at when she left the show. I think the character overall is so boring, which sucks. This is Craig's daughter and Lucinda's granddaughter. Why the hell is she so dull? Her family should be ashamed. :rolleyes: Instead, they have her sucking face w/ Dusty and, probably in the near-future, Damian. Ugh...she takes Daddy issues to a whole pathetic level.

Eric Braeden -_- , Ronn Moss, Maurice Benard, Steve Burton,

Austin Peck, James Acheson

Least Favorite Actresses: so many! The ones that

irk(ed) me most? Jackie Zeman, Colleen Zenk Pinter, Rhonda Aldrich,

Cady McClain (as Rosanna on ATWT), Judi Evans

Deidre Hall (90s-current; was a favorite

of mine in the 80s) ...I was also VERY annoyed by Genie Francis' portrayal of

Laura in the late 90s and early 00s (but I really liked Laura from 93-96 so

I realize that the writing may be partly to blame).

In general people who are monotoned, stone faced,

or chew the scenery *bug* me. I don't want to be bored and I

also don't want to sit there rolling my eyes at the overacting either.

I want to believe and understand the character and storyline...

I am also annoyed by any/all actors who are just on tv to pose

for the camera but I didn't bother listing them as

least favorite actors because really, they are just

models.

STOP HATING ON PEYTON!

Not only did she hold her own with such greats as Liz Hubbard, Hunt Block, Mary B. Evans, and *dreamy sigh* Martha Byrne....but she was damn good to look at!

Even after she left ATWT, she carried her talent elsewhere. One Tree Hill, CSI:Miami/CSI:NY, Smallville, Without a Trace, Windfall, and coming soon....the movie "Deep Winter". So if she's that bad, explain to me why all the big name casting dircetors who have went to school for years and been trained to cast highly motivated and highly talented people....explain to me why they all picked her for the many roles she's had since ATWT.....if she's that horrendous!

Only one answer: She's not a bad actress!

I thought Howarth was a powerhouse on OLTL

but his portrayal of Paul on ATWT lacks something...

some oomph, direction...focus...conviction.

I just don't "feel" Paul.

Peyton List started out as such a poor, wooden actress

but I really thought she grew A LOT over the years.

I was starting to really like Lucy and PL's acting

when she decided to leave. She still didn't have

much versatility/variation in her work, but I saw

a lot of potential.

My opinion. That's right! So quit making light of the fact that I know talent when I see it (I.e. Peyton List) and you don't. (I.e. Aubrey O'Day)

Heather Tom is always amazing, and this is the kind of story KKL must have been dreaming of since Susan Flannery left. She might not be a new Meryl Streep, but she excels in these kind of confrontational scenes with a strong scene partner. Watching her beg Ridge for attention opposite Thorsten Kaye who really doesn't give her much to work with has been painful.

All My Children Tribute Thread

No new word. When Susan Lucci was in Los Angeles promoting her book, she met up with Eva La Rue and Rebecca Budig and Eva posted a photo on IG of the three of them with a caption saying the movies were "definitely" happening. Then a few hours later, Eva edited her post saying they are "in development." I think she got a lot of fans excited (and ahead of themselves) with her original post so she had to modify what she said.

I doubt they can do worse than they did with John. The only decent thing about him was that his existence actually was plausible in the show's timeline. Everything else was a horror show (literally and figuratively).
I guess most people will buy whatever explanation they will give regarding Serena Sugden (talk about an un-Sugden-like name by the way 🙄) and her connection to Robert and Victoria. Only old-timers like myself who are very particular about these things will bother about the details.

B&B: June 2026 Discussion Thread

Oh, that was easy, breezy, and good!!! I love that B&B has pivoted out of its mid-May slump. I feel engaged again.

Now I missed some episodes cuz out of town for my birthday, but I enjoyed what I saw. I am impressed with B&B having a teen/young set again in RJ/Electra/Will/Dylan again. Okay, a teen/young soap set period. I also like that we got a definite personality among them all. RJ with his smugness. Will the himbo...which we know I don't hate. Electra with the girl next door. Dylan with a grayness to her character. I like it. And I did like this week that they still have tension between Electra and Dylan and that feels more realistic to me. As did Dylan's Will daydream. Meanwhile, there is RJ still trying to get all up in Electra's face. Meanwhile, Will is over at the Spencers.

And I love when Brad Bell shifts the story focus to the Spencers. He balanced it with the Logans nicely. But I have to admit that it actually felt like the story surrounding Hope leaving for Logan and thus keeping Forrester vs Logan on the fashion runway has stopped stalling even more and is moving again. And YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS to Deke FINALLY being added to that story. And Remy still trying to make those in-roads.

Which brings me to Brooke vs Katie. Oooooo I live for a great Heather Tom performance. And those little gems of dialogue about Hope that went over Brooke's head...SUPERB. That said...SHE SHOULD HAVE SLAPPED BROOKE BACK!!! Hopefully next time!!! But yes...to this part of the story...the fashion war...is FINALLY heating up again.

So...Fashion wars, teen storyline, an C plot...or two if I include Wyatt in the wings...going. Go on, B&B for me. Get your bounce back.

The original Noah, Kevin Schmidt was good IMO. His relationship with Eden may have been a flop but he played the part well atleast..
his complicated relationship with his parents and how he was affected by the Phick relationship were all interesting things being played out at the time. His character just became more and more basic over time and lacked any kind of substance. I don’t even blame the actors that played him after because I actually thought they were all decent. The writing just wasn’t good. They never invested enough into his character and always invested more into keeping Nick and Sharon front burner instead of bringing up that new generation. I think of the Faith character in the same way. I loved all the actresses who played Faith. They just never gave her character a real chance to flourish..
Back when Shick and Victoria were aged up, they managed to give that new generation of Newmans front burner storylines while still making sure Nikki and Victor were relevant and had front burner storylines too so I don’t see why they can do that with Shick and Victorias kids now too..
