Y&R Neil and Dru

I really was hoping to see some more Dru/Neil drama after the whole Malcolm is Lily's father storyline came to play...I don't want them to drop the ball on this...It was going strong when the revelation came out, but now, it's at a dead halt altogether...and when Dru was still on, they would only resort to tense moments but no more blow ups at one another for her and Malcolm's betrayal.

I hope when Dru comes back she and Neil will have some more powerful scenes.....especially if they are thinking of hooking him up with Carmen as a possible love interest.

I hope they don't either. This s/l has so much potential to it and I want to see more of a fallout from it. This is one of Y&R's well kept secrets and now its all out in the open. I want to see more conflict.

I think it would have been wonderful to bring Malcolm back to get some of the heat for his role in what he did to his brother...It would have been interesting to see how Lily would have reacted to seeing him; as well as Daniel

There's just so much that has went wrong with this story. Yeah, some of it was beyond the shows control, but still...

It was rumored that Neil might have hit the bottle again. I wish they have played him getting tempted, going to the bars and everything. And then have Carmen come in and to veer him off course and offer him someone to confide in. Finding out after all these years that Lily is not his biological daughter, getting pushed aside for the Newman board seat to Brad, Lily not graduating, etc. should be enough to bring him to the breaking point. Yet, he just acts like his pet goldfish died and shoots hoops all day.

I'm starting to wonder if LML can even write for the Winters. This is a freakin' core family just as established as the Newmans and the Abbotts. Even the damn Fishers are getting better material to work with.

A lot has gone wrong with this story. Lily basically had a non reaction to the news and it's being played out like it's all Dr's fault. Malcolm's not around and there's really no follow through. Does Neil need to bang someone for it to get interesting?

I think they already dropped the ball with this... there first mistake was not focusing on Neil, instead of Devon. There has been no to little movement in this storyline since the reveal. This whole part of the storyline should be about Neil, since Lily and Dru already have dealt with what happened. He just found out that his daughter is really his niece, his wife lied to him for 17 years, his brother took advantage of his wife (I truly think he doesn't blame Dru for this and more upset that she didn't tell him when it happened when it happened), and he's getting screwed over left and right at Newman; any other man would have broke completely by now. Instead, Neil looks like anything barely happened to him.

I don't think Malcolm is really that needed, while yes... there should be some comfrontation with him and Neil and something with him and Lily; I don't think he has to be there for the storyline to mean or do something. And if SM doesn't want to come back, recast him... and put the actor on recurring status.

Agree! I'm starting to think the same thing about LML, which is disappointing because the Winters are just as an established family as them. What should have been a really great storyline for Neil (all the mess came down on him at the same time), just totally fell flat. Now it seems like Neil has known for years, and is okay with all that happened... instead of it just happening last month. It will take a lot for me not to think LML has something against the Winters family... because so far, she's displaying that she doesn't care.
