Katherine is totally on the warpath and is pushing every single male away.

  • So, Tomas went into the Navy to put himself through law school. Quite interesting. What a nice backstory.
  • It's very obvious Pamela and Vanessa are not friends at all, and that's something I'd love to see play out at some point.

I figured that they would take Kat in this direction with men for the time being.

I like those small bits of history from Tomas, but I still have not warmed up to him yet.

A Pamela/Vanessa feud could be worth the watch.

Bored or just bored with story or character:

Ashley

Derek

Pamela

Vanessa

Doug

Joey aka Jon Lindstrom....he truly sucks in the role.

The gambling set, gambling story hate and bored with a passion.

Dani and Andre in bed every five seconds.....yawn!

Diego the fitness guy....yawn!!

Today's show, minus Kat, Eva, and Jacob/Leslie sprinkled in, was very boring!

Is Ashley/Derek really arguing over a damn scratch on the fridge?!

MVJ, get rid of both characters... NOW!

Yes a mark on the fridge from him cleaning is essentially leading to a break up.

I don’t even like Derek but Ashley is an ass.hole.

Vanessa is such a bad bad cliche.

She’s such a caricature - which is a shame because I think the actress is capable of so much more.

Vanessa is bordering on nasty ho territory.

Normally I agree with you @Soapsuds but not on this.

Dani opened up to Andre about her insecurities since the end of her marriage, and Andre listened and supported her. Their booty call hook ups are so turning into love.

I have this STRONG feeling that if they put Derek opposite a Kat, Eva, Chelsea, or Shanice, I would NOT be surprised to see him pop and shine. Ashley, on the other hand, has Andre and the actress cannot even sell that pairing. I am really starting to believe that Ashley is the problem and might need to become a year 1 casualty.

Keith D. Robinson has a lot less screen presence so far than Maurice Johnson had, but I think he's probably a much better technical actor.

I couldn't be happier we're finally moving along with the caucasians. Andre and Ashley better be f*cking by the end of the week, or so help me, just to move the story along even quicker.

That's the second time there's been a hint that Dani will get involved with the Doug/Vanessa/Joey story somehow. Maybe it'll happen in response to Andre/Ashley getting together?

I feel the same. I didn’t expect to care about them but the chemistry is strong and I’d love to see them go public and try to make it work.

Build, build, build. So much of it going on and not bored by any of it. A story continued to be the fallout from the SilkPress/Eva reveal. And I'm happy to see that the fallout made it all the way through the week with C plots being built up to B plots. And then little subplots (Dani's business, Vanessa and her roleplaying games) to keep in mind.

Now that I've watched it several times...all I can think of seeing Silk Press Sheila with NuTed is hmmmm. Honestly, while I felt Trish and Maurice had chemistry, I always felt character-wise that SilkPress and Maurice's Ted would never get back together. At most, I could see them having hate sex. However, SilkPress with Keith's Ted...how to word this...I feel like...in spite of all of her scheming...she has a chance of getting him back given how Trish and Keith interact with each other. And I feel like she's giving 90s DAYS Sami Brady with Austin Peck's Austin where Sami would be playing it to the hilt and Austin...even when he knew better...would STILL be falling for her tricks. Or even when Sami would be somewhat redeemed and he had a 'right' to like her, it would end badly cuz she did something. That was the vibe I got from the SilkPress/NuTed scenes. Keith's Ted definitely came across as a romantic lead in a triangle versus Maurice's Ted where even though he messed up, I saw him only having eyes for Nicole. So...Hmmmmmm. Mind you, I don't see Keith's Ted as stupid/dumb like Austin Peck's version of Austin on DAYS.

Kat being on the case and looking into Laura's accident and giving her recording to Jacob also continue to spin the story into its next logical direction...even if Kat has it tagged on the wrong person. The walls may be closing in on SilkPress, but like she said a while back...she still has tricks up her own sleeves. And I just know the rivalry between Kat and Eva ain't over so this is just another match to the fire. And it'll be good to see Jacob in cop mode. Then Nicole still dealing with her own feelings and wanting to sell the house. Good scenes with her and Vanessa.

And while that was all going on...the plots around them...

1) MARTIN'S SECRET. I have enjoyed how Bill's little seed has been growing in Smitty's mind. And Smitty's being in reporter mode. His scenes with Nicole to see if he was right to be second guessing himself was well-done. I didn't get it at first viewing, because I would think he would be happy that Martin backed down. But I'm seeing it through his reporter eyes, and I get it. And of course, I live for Smitty's scenes with Bill. And Bill is just getting too much glee with messing with Martin and Smitty.

2) ANITA'S STORY. Yassss!!! Oh, Vernon...how I love you. I really enjoyed seeing him slowly coax Anita into calling yet another bandmate. I felt CD and TT were really giving how a relationship can be. And I enjoyed it. Of course, I enjoy that it's clear that Anita wears the pants in that relationship...not that Vernon don't have his moments. They just complement each other so well.

3)MS. JUNE. Outside of the fact that I thought that surgery happened too quickly, good to see her out of surgery. Not to mention seeing Nosy Nurse. Say what you want about her ability to get the tea, but she's really great at her job, and it's great to see.

Well...Doug still has a week. Dani and Pamela are still working on a business. Vanessa is still playing. And it's nice to see those threads still around. But not a major focus yet. And it all still flowed.

And of course...a Friday cliffhanger with Jacob taking Silk Press Sheila down to the station.

So great week of soap overall for me. It doesn't seem like today's episode is going to be loaded on my system until tomorrow. But I guess that is what apps are for. ;)

This episode was not it!

Derek really cleaned a stainless steel fridge with a scouring pad? Is this grown ass man an idiot? You can't tell me he wouldnt realize this is a bad idea considering he just talked about taking good care of his car. I'm sure he'd know not to take a scouring pad to the exterior of his car and why.  Ashley's annoyance was fine, but she took it to an extreme that was unnecessary and made her even more annoying and intolerable. Derek even went out of his way to offer to replace it and then made the effort to buff out the scratches. She really is unlikable...also, where did yall say you've seen her before and that she was good...because today's performance was giving mid.

"I'm a boy scout...I follow every lead..." Excuse me, Jacob. Why couldn't he just say he's thorough. It was an odd thing to say. Even figuratively, I wouldn't think of using that term in this instance.

Diego, a model? I'm sorry, but let's be reasonable here.

Another weird moment was Tomas guilting Kat for choosing to put her half-sister in jail over dinner with him. We can all agree that Kat was gunning for Eva since day one and doing too much, but the girl actually thinks and has incriminating audio that Eva may have tried to kill someone and boy is being a pick me. I can't.

There was another really strange moment early on that I completely just blanked on. I think this has been my least favorite episode since the premiere.

The good:

Pamela and Dani showing off their friendship was cute. As much as I hate that casino, their moments together were nice.

Today's episode was pretty lousy -- definitely the worst in a while.

-- Ashley is awful beyond words. I hope Derek dumps her basic ass. Scratches on the fridge? First of all, can someone in production put te refrigerator hinges on the right side??? The door doesn't even open into the kitchen area.

Second, if you're going to make a BIG FCKING DEAL out of a scratch, then show the damn scratch. They didn't, and it was stupid. Also, the lack of product placement WHEN DEREK WAS CLEANING made no sense. Is he too dumb to use P&G products?

-- Ashley's treatment of Derek is despicable. If a guy treated a woman this way, this board would be screaming abuse. She acted like a spoiled brat, and I have NEVER gotten the idea that she loves Derek.

-- And then Ashley -- the new super nurse -- calls off work because she had a meltdown over a scratch and a leftover??? And goes to a bar??? Jesus. What terrible writing.

-- For me, Ben Gavin (Derek) was MUCH better today than Jen Jacob (Ashley).

-- Also bad...Cady McClain. I don't know what she's doing, but she needs to stop it. She's terrible in this role, and BTG should get rid of that character. She doesn't work.

-- Vanessa has been turned into a complete slut. Messing with Diego? OK. But now they're writing her like she can't keep her legs closed.

And then she talks with Doug, acts like they've figured things out, then walks away without asking Doug WHAT he's hididng from her.

-- Dani and Andre look good in bed, but let's move on, OK? Just seeing those two have hot sex isn't enough. I don't think Dani's reason for not going public with him make any sense, either. More bad writing.

-- Today we got a discussion of Tomas' tattoos. You mean Kat has never seen the guy's arms before? Huh? More bad writing.

-- Also, I still can't believe Alex Alegria (Tomas) has been acting for well over a decade. Jesus.

-- Why would Ted give Eva a photo of herself for her birthday? WTF was that?

-- Dana and Jacob were decent. Those were the only scenes that made sense.

Last week was great, but we're off to a really slow start this week.

Yes, to all of it. You really brought up many of the points I thought of during the episode and forgot in my own post.

The photo should have been Eva and Ted together.

The calling off work was really stupid for a fight over some scratches that didn't even end in some ultimatum fight. If anything that's when you do go go work to get your mind off of it. It was just really stupid.

And great point about the cleaning products and lack of product placement. Huge missed opportunity.

Cady needs to let that accent go. It's cringe.

Overall, it was a bad episode and I haven't felt this strongly about an episode yet.
