Would you please listen to yourself? I hate to belabor this, but I think it's a serious charge to call someone a bully -- especially when you provide no proof.

No one can dictate what you think. No one forces you to agree with anyone's opinion here, including Althea's. And "bullying tactics"? I don't even know what that means.

What you have a problem with is Althea's tone. I realize that because I've been criticized for my tone in the past. You don't have to like it, but it's not bullying.

The rapist storyline is making me gag. I have to fast-forward everything. What I can't manage to fast-forward is shocking. So the rapist has finally gaslit Luna and they are playing it off like a love triangle now? She says she is torn between two great men? Sweety, you need to read more about rape and consent and you NEED help. You were RAPED. This is so triggering and such a disgusting storyline which should not be allowed by the public in 2024. Bradley needs to get some backlash for this. This is not the 70s or 80s, baby boy.

Ridge and Steffy Marone talking about Steffy stabbing Sheila with smirk on their faces like they are talking about home cooked lasagna was LOL. Ridge is insufferable sociopath and Steffy is OG Stephanie from the dollar store. I get that Sheila was a psycho, but WHO smirks like that... and them acting like HOW DARE Finn has any other feelings on the matter is making me re-live my relationship with my narcissistic mother. Steffy Marone will be better off with a male sex doll, replica of Finn, just like her brother was with the Hope doll. Her narcissism doesn't allow her to see anything but her POV. These people don't understand boundaries and people saying No to them. Clinical narcissism.

And the Sheila storyline is done in the most predictable way possible. I can clearly see they are feeling the backlash and trying to rush it along.

@Soapsuds @Jeff @ranger1rg - RJ's arms in the episodes are the only thing that kept me from not pressing the X button.

I just saw the 'Sugar' confirmation.

I suppose the *rationale* is that Sugar was trying to frame Sheila. I won't even speculate 'why'

Gosh, if I were writing this show in say 2004, I'd have Luna confront Zende with him taking advantage of her. If she chooses not to take legal action, make it a conscious choice. There's many valid reasons why someone chooses not to report. She should never apologize to RJ.

It would've been better if they both Zende and Luna consuming the mints together, which would remove the consent issue. The story is exactly the same, but Zende is forever tainted until he undergoes 3 weeks of therapy and is fine.

I am. And it's bizarre how a man like Zende who looks so much more mature and older than Luna, is so interested in this... Practically little girl. It looks off and perverted. Add the rape and I'm out.

But that's the whole show... The Off and The Perverted.

That said...it did feel like a Lucky Gold episode when it took all episode for Deacon to spit it out why he was reacting to the clerk. And now he's going to talk to Finn. If anything, it made me feel that he was going too slow knowing that Sheila was on the loose.

Cute Finn/Hope scene, but NO. LOL!!!

Mmmmm Hollis...

The lowdown on today's episode.

Luna finally told RJ about being raped by Zende. Luna blamed the mints and herself.

Joshua Hofmann can't act. He acted more confused than anything else.

Zende, the rapist, told Carter what happened. Zende blamed Poppy for raping Luna.  Carter started blaming Zende but then backtracked.

More 10 toes and Sugar. Sugar made an appearance just like the stapler.

    • That was my point really. These anniversary party scenes are the first ones, and now they won't be able to use them (meaning these actual scenes, as aired, with OG Ted). They can recreate them but I doubt they will spring for all the extras to come back and film and recreate everything, so it will be more like tight closed in shots of Ted with one or two other actors, or snippets of Leslie's original speech where Ted wasn't visible. It would be hard to recapture the original energy of the scenes are as they were filmed in their full context. I just think that's too bad, but maybe they will prove me wrong. I never really saw what was so off in his portrayal to warrant a recast, anyway, so that colors my perception as well.
    • Yeah, and quite honestly, are there really that many scenes that are flashback-worthy at this point in the run?
    • I know at one point they were on Hulu & i-Tunes. I just checked it on JustWatch.com & it indicates 1 season on Prime Video & on AppleTV. Have fun!
    • That era is so weird...they made a big deal out of all three of those characters and then they just..disappeared! Not that I am complaining. We talk about the bad out of character writing for Alex under JFP..but this was one example that may have led them to write her being so obsessive with Nick.  WHY would Alex accept Flock of Seagulls guy as her brother? They had her in one scene (setting up the Alan return) complain that Alan abandoned her...she blackmailed him into leaving town and she had been angry at him for helping Brandon with Lujack and also using Spaulding for that dumb dreaming death thing. Endless scenes of her with Simon, I can't believe Bev wasn't bored to death! I would also add Pam writing the scene where she lets Ms. Sally die in front of her to protect Alan and  the writing for Alex could be screwy even before JFP.
    • On this day 34 years ago the final episode of Dallas and came in at an astonishing #2 in the ratings after two straight seasons of weak ratings. Interesting Knots was #27 for that week as well:

    • Thank you for clearing that up. I wasn't watching GL regularly yet at that point, but seems to me I should have remembered the big wedding after Leslie's death (which I do remember) described in the profile. Is there a web archive of SOD summaries, or are referring to your own personal collection?
    • I was bummed that 2.0 ended because Mcpherson (headwriter) had really set up some interesting stories and we never got to find out where the stories would go once they resumed production on 'season 2'. I remembered the EP (Ginger Smith) and a lot of the stars gave a lot of credit to McPherson being able to come in on very short notice and come up with stories/plots (I think it was a very short turnaround time of a few weeks).  It was nice that she got to redeem herself after her year long Days stint was not well reviewed/liked.

    • It seems like a setup for failure to review a single episode of a soap, but Cleveland Amory was a foolish man.  His taste was so predictable, that one wondered why bother reviewing a medium he so clearly disliked. (found on Facebook retro TV group) Another case in point of his misogyny from his review of Dark Shadows (Can you imagine the magazine with the widest circulation in the country insulting its customer in this way today?)

    • They could easily be re-created, or even re-shot in different ways, especially if they were re-shooting scenes at some point, as well.
