Greg Meng is *not* back.  TVSource edited their interview with Deidre and removed the mention of Meng.   Then they added this statement to the end of the interview: "Editor’s note: An earlier version of this article incorrectly listed Greg Meng as Co-Executive Producer and has been updated."

Rewinding, I was looking for something else & this shiny object caught my eye, did PR tweet about the fan-made video? It's been my experience that TPTB love fan-made stuff but never see it as an option of  what they shoulda - coulda - oughta do. I believe they exempt themselves from such self-reflection. Sorta like they are on high looking at the little folk, "Isn't it precious what little Jimmy did?!"

Was thinking about this last night.

Now that Days is on Peacock, what does that mean for days like Thanksgiving or New Years Day, when it was always preempted. Will we be getting new episodes on those days now as well?

NBC stopped preempting Days for New Year's Day after 2020 once they stopped airing the NHL Winter Classic. Days aired on 1/1/21. 1/1/22 was a Saturday. 1/1/23 is a Sunday, so there wouldn't be a New Year's Day airing scheduled again until 1/1/24.

As mentioned above, I put a question mark for Thanksgiving Day at the moment since I don't know what the plan is. Since the Christmas stuff was written and taped before the change, then my guess is they will either have to preempt that day or write a new insert episode to air that day or else all the episodes would move up a day and Christmas would air a day early.

It's interesting because in recent years the New Years episode was a big deal in terms of story.  IIRC Stefan was introduced at New Years, and Eve's return occurred on New Years.

LOL! So, I guess people who watch DAYS smoke Marlboro's or Newport 100's? See? This is the sh*t right here about people's assumptions based on nothing to back it up with. I want to see statistics here. Thompson can't back up his sh*t.

    • Anyway...they literally mentioned the secret room today on Days and yes, this show needs a Kristen lesbian story lol.
    • Yes, they did a 'premiere' of Maggie's death episodes at the ArcLight theatre in Los Angeles, arguably then the nicest movie theatre chain in the USA. Plus, Suzanne and Deidre were in a ton of scenes together during this time. Whatever happened between them happened after 2004.
    • There are episodes with Jenny (Mary Ellen Stuart) that she was in pre-writers strike.. and I know that she lasts until at least August 1988. It's a shame that the show didn't try pairing her with Rusty since the two had more chemistry than she had with Ross and that he had with Rose.
    • Was that when she put on the"Slut of Springfield" red dress and made a complete ass of herself at the CC, so of course Alan fell madly in love with her on the spot?
    • Oohh...now I'm not sure. Long did come back in '87, didn't she. She broke up Ross and Vanessa almost from her first minute back. Van and Ross are at the Country Club when Josh dumps Reva. And Reva dramatically drapes herself on the CC stairs.
    • Glad you enjoyed watching. Yes, Michael seems like fun. I am always interested in more of these niche talk show appearances.
    • Thanks for the tag @DRW50
    • Upon reflection, I think you're right, their chilliness toward each other was more recent. She said women on the show in 1984 were not supportive and she still stays away from them. She seems friendly with Susan Hayes so Deidre is the only woman still around from those days, though I guess Kristian Alfonso and Leann Hunley could also qualify. And it might be someone long gone but who is still present in Suzanne's social circles.
    • I don't know.  The animosity seems to be more recent than the mid 80s.  When Maggie was a victim of the Salem Stalker i remember reading an interview with Suzanne where she said they aired the episode(s) surrounding Maggie death in a theatre and made a big deal about it.  Suzanne was very upset about being fired and Dee comforted her and said that they were making such a big deal about it because it was Suzanne/Maggie.  I cannot find the article but I will keep trying. That said Suzanne's comments on Soapy about how some of the female cast members treated her during her illness was disappointing to hear to say the least.
    • Anyway... Kristen should have a prison lesbian story arc. And then come out and become obsessed with Marlena so we can move her on from the Brady nonsense. Is that secret room still in the DiMera mansion?
