I was reading an article by DC telling Stacy fans not to worry about her not playing Kristen.

I was like she has fans? Her version of Kristen has been awful.

What's next.....???...I won't say because Carlivati would actually do it...

....although I don't know if he cares for previous actor.

There are Stacy Haiduck stans?  Lol

I have seen people appreciate her performance and it's clear she does try.   Eileen gets much better writing as Kristen even in brief scenes.  SH's Kristen is a mess and I don't think it's all her fault.  I think ED plays Kristen as much more calculating and manipulative, while SH's Kristen just seems like a psycho and a kind of stupid one at that.

Well, I like Stacy, but I prefer ED as Kristen, my Kristen.

As far as Patty, I think I'm one of the few people here that liked her as Patty. Did she go off the rails? Yes. But before when she was just Mary Jane, I loved how they slowly revealed who she really was and Stacy played her with so much naunce during that time. By the time she was off her meds and going blonde, yeeeeeah she became just a psycho. And the writing just sunk her.

I am honestly not that familiar with her work on y&R.  I just remember Daytime Confidential would praise her all the time.

ED's Kristen always had a purpose.   It was to destroy John/Marlena.  SH's Kristen's  purpose is confusing to me.   Brady? Her daughter?  No matter how crazy Eileen's Kristen got you knew she was smart and genuinely one step ahead of everyone else.  Her Kristen was someone to be fearful of.  SH's Kristen is a weepy mess who keeps getting herself into more trouble like an idiot and taking away the John/Marlena hate from her is stupid.  Those 3 would never, ever get along.

Serious question. Is anyone into Gwen and Xander? I love PT/Xander but I just can't get into this. It's time to bring back Sarah. "Xwen" is a total dud. LMAO, Trask called Gwen a miserable piece of trash. Love it.

Susan being possessed... lord. Awful. So was her acting like a cat. Eileen making an appearance is cool and all, but I'm not going to pretend that this story is suddenly awesome now that she's back. We need zero Kristens, not two. What a mess to have both Kristens on at the same time.

Most importantly... WHERE'S EJ! The cat has had more airtime than him this month.

If the devil reveals that Lani is Paulina's daughter what are the consequences?

I get that Abe will be mad that she kept the secret, (as if she could have told him between kidnappings and being shot).

But, does it actually impact Lani, Eli, or their kids if Paulina turns out to be the biological mother?  I feel as if I am missing something like it makes Eli and Lani related...

    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
