Well, it is a teen storyline, so there's probably gonna be partner swapping at one point or another. It's what they do after that is what's up in the air.

I'm cautiously optimistic. This is probably the teen storyline that Frank's wanted to do for years, which he failed at miserably with TJ/Molly/Rafe/Felix's random sister. But he finally has a talented cast of young people to work with, so we'll see what happens.

Well, we can look to Frank’s own history and see if he has learned any lessons.  Because OLTL should have kept Evangeline back in the day and didn’t (yes, I’m still pissed).  I would hope that in 2021 they would not be as stupid.  And truthfully, they have kept Curtis in the mix, he’s in a solid B story now, and the show has more Black people than ever before.  Trina is easily who you build the next gen around, not Joss.

I'd rather keep Lenny and see Sonny finally croak. Sigh. lol. We should be keeping both of them. Someone Lenny's age is needed. We already have Stella too. Now Phyllis. Both can exist of course but where's the patriarch? Taggert? LOL

Yes please. But we can't have nice things.

Would love to see her at GH.

I knew Lenny wouldn't make it from the start, siiiigh. They immediately mentioned he had a heart condition so his days were numbered from the start. I'm disappointed for sure though. I wish they reversed course and kept him. Rif Hutton is good. All this for Mo Benard emmy bait?

Because I am slow-witted... Am I reading between the lines correctly that when she says "all" her co-stars, LW is implying she is not happy with the criticism of SB and IR, right?

I do find it funny that she endured what I imagine was a torrent of bile towards her boyfriend when he was on the show but now is when the negativity is too much.

I'm enjoying the scenes with the teens but I can't with this "rager" of Spencer's. There's LED lights, a dance floor, a DJ, a photobooth... but it's all outside, meaning we won't actually see any of it. The guests who are supposedly coming will also be outside since they don't have the special *VIP bracelets* that grant them access to the house, meaning we won't see them either. This party is literally just going to be the four kids hanging out at Wyndemere. Even in Monday's preview it's just Spencer and Trina sitting on the couch and Cam/Joss out on the parapet. This isn't a party LOL.

I did laugh out loud when the girls left the room to go change and Spencer very seriously asked Cam, "Do you need to change too?" LMAO. Oh, apparently there's a strict "solstice chic" dress code. What?

He even had an outfit picked out for Cam. Does Spencer realize that he's wearing a hoodie and sweats? He's dressed the worst out of anyone. Or does "solstice chic" mean looking like you're homeless?

Sprina When Trina is in the room, Spencer doesn't even seem to remember that Cam and Joss exist. He just looks like the heart eyes emoji the whole time I just love that he's all about Trina. When the girls left to go change, he literally followed them out of the room so he could watch Trina walk away. They are soooo cute.

So, after Jason found out about Joey Novak approaching Josslyn, the first person he worried about was... Britt. Not his kids. Not their mothers. They get no warning about the Novaks. LOL. He just makes a beeline to Britt's office. I love Jason/Britt, but man Jason really looks awful. I'm assuming that the Novaks will eventually do something to Britt, otherwise there probably wasn't much of a reason to show Jason warning her about potentially being approached by them.

Lenny I wasn't expecting him to die so soon. I feel silly but I'll admit that I got a little choked up, especially by Phyllis's reaction. They're just nice people and a nice couple. I was hoping that Lenny would live and that he and Phyllis would eventually relocate to PC and take over Charlie's or something, that way they could still pop up now and then, or that Sonny would thank them by making sure they're financially set for life. Poor Phyllis! I did laugh at Mo's hair being gray in his scenes as "Mike" but not so much in his scenes as Sonny, ha.

Sam's skirt was fugly! I did think the scenes with her and Dante at the end were cute though.

I'm not gonna drag Burton for having COVID. I don't know his vaccination status. He could've contracted it despite being vaccinated. It can and does happen. Maybe he's vaccinated, maybe he isn't. Tbh I figured he was simply because he had the big love scene with Britt a couple months ago. But unless he actually confirms it one way or the other, we don't know.

Vincent Irizarry throws in a quick mention that he was dating Catherine Hickland when he first heard about Marj.  I wonder when this was..? She was married to David Hasselhoff for a good bit of the 80's. And then MEK for most of the 90's. Fun fact... David Hasselhoff played Michael Knight on Knight Rider. Then she married an actor named the same as her first husband's character.
    • I agree with a lot of what has been mentioned before me. I think BTG desperately needs another family.  Character ages still throw me. There have been several times where I still think Martin is Vernon and Anita's child and then a character says something and I'm like oh right. It doesn't help that he hardly socializes with his parents or Kat. I do not care about the secondary characters... Ashley, Derek, Vanessa, Doug, Pamela, Joey, Jan, Mona, the gym dude can all go and I wouldn't care. The exception being Shanice. There is a decent hospital set and police station set but most characters have other jobs. They could have easily had characters interact at work and make it seem organic. Instead they had Derek showing up at someone's work let alone a police officer to talk about his quarrel with Ashley. Also, falling into the trap of having stories that soaps no longer have the budget for. That fashion show was tragic and so was the award gala. The potential trial between Naomi and Bill being dropped was probably due to lack of a courtroom set. However, how soapy would it have been if Bill had a heart attack at the trial and Naomi feeling guilty. It would have also been a way to easily redeem the character of Bill to Naomi but also Dani and Chelsea who would face what losing him would ultimately mean.
    • Not too upset with Martin and Bradley being married. It's a first for daytime, so I love that BTG came out of the gate breaking barriers. I hope that the show plays on their past in the most soapiest ways. This doesn't have to be Martin's first marriage. What if Bradley's parents were some real grifters or con artists? Does he have siblings?      I agree with/ @Cheap21    Kat gives me a smart businesswoman.  With everything she is currently dealing with I can see her becoming a shark in the boardroom. So I'm looking forward to that business storyline.
    • That's what happened with Hope Williams Brady on DAYS.  Started as rich princess, went to the police academy.   Became a cop.  Now consults for the I.S.A.
    • I know Curlee/Demorest tried to give Roger a conscience in regard to raping Holly, and Zas is magnificent in those scenes with Alex. But he kinda ends up blaming Adam and the fact he (well, really the writers) ignores raping Rita and being responsible for her and Ed's child's death make it less than convincing.  I do think during 89-93 they were careful to not whitewash his past with Holly, but his occasional bouts of conscience always seemed to be overridden by his obsession/lust for her. The only purely good thing I can ever recall him doing is helping Maureen during the blackout, and even then, had she lived, he would've found a way to call that favor in. I've kinda resisted saying it, but it's kind of clear to me Long was determined to have her own version of Erica Kane, and God help us all, it ended up as Reva Shayne. Although at least Kim could act. (Sorry LaLucci fans) Honestly, I'm not even sure CBS soaps ever a character as larger than life as Reva.
    • Regardless, I'd still like to see more episodes from the 80s...there is very little of Charlotte Greer, Kirklands and Greenberg's out there sadly.
    • A black family having a white maid would be a good subversion of stereotypes. Also want to say that while the overall show has many flaws, the biggest one that's legitimately stifling is the lack of a rival family.
    • I also do not like the bits I've seen with Delia during Labine's 83 return. I am glad when she came back for the last time in 1986, she allowed Delia to move on from Frank.
    • Thanks for the well-detailed reply. I'm fairly early in my viewing, so I have some time before it goes nuts. Thanks a lot! @kalbir and @DRW50 thank you so much. I am just approaching 100 episodes, so I'm good for now.
