Agreed.  He's what 3 or 4 years older?   It's not like he's 35.  He's fine.  I also think Joss, Cam, and Trina don't look particularly young in the way Kmc and JJ did.   But the old Spencer did seriously annoy me so I am very open to a new actor lol

NB didn’t annoy me as much as he did some of you lol but this needed to happen. Frank needed to let that kid go years ago.

We might not have even had Oscar and Dev had Spencer been aged when Cam and Joss were.

He was cute in the beginning and I liked him, but he got tired real fast.  Plus, they probably needed a slightly hunkier actor.  I mean, they can always bring NB back if it doesn't work out.  We need Emma now.  I know BRS is still young, but she looks fairly mature on insta lol.  I think she could fit in with the group.

Agreed we need Lucky, Serena & Tommy, not to mention Jeff, Tom, Elizabeth's mom(make it Anne Logan), Sarah, Stephen Lars, maybe Heather and axe some other people we don't need or have no connection.

I've been thinking about that a lot too.  Several of the pics in the opening really need new replacements, some such as Haley Pullos(Molly),  Lexi Ainsworth(Kristina), Josh Swickard(Chase) barely even look the actors do now. Plus never understood why Michael E. Knight(Martin), who was shown for awhile, quit being in the opening.  Never understood why Jeff Kober(ex-Cyrus) never was featured in the opening, as much a part of the show he was in the last year.  Also should be in the opening, Kiim Delaney(Jackie), Gregory Harrison(Gregory), plus Real Andrews(Taggert), Sean Blakemore(Shawn), Nicholas Chavez(Spencer), should be in the opening.  Also since Violet is shown, another that needs updating,  they should add Aidan, Danny, and Jake, when they're featured.

Yeah I see that with stan behavior all the time. They find all sorts of 'reasons' to dislike someone or the character but what they really want to say is "I want Spencer played by Bechtel forever and ever and I don't like this change" ... lol

I get clinging to a favorite actor in a role, I do it, but like, I also have common sense and understand the situation. It begins to border on crazy obsession.

Is anyone actually into Liz/Finn? I feel like I haven't seen any fanfare for them. I don't hate Finn, but he's just so blah. I feel bad that it's Becky's job to try to make the OLTL pets palatable to the audience. She's finally free of Roger, only to now be glued to Easton's hip.

Drunk Sam was entertaining, and I'm glad that some developments are finally happening with her and Dante. I was starting to think that they might've changed their minds about putting them together because not much was happening there for a while. I'm not sold on "Sante" yet but am open to seeing where they go with it.

Jaxass is pointless, but the man was speaking the truth to Carly today!

How are the people of Port Charles not seeing that Jason looks miserable? Dude is constantly on the verge of tears since getting engaged. I know that we need *drama* but him not telling Britt the truth about why he's marrying Carly makes zero sense. I hope Leisl goes crazy on him, just because. Also, it felt random that Nina knew about Britt/Jason.

Carly looked pretty happy putting her arms around Jason while watching the fireworks. LOL.

Cam and Joss... snooze!

I am enjoying Monica getting mixed up in the baby stuff.

IMO most of Becky Herbst's fanbase is into anyone who keeps her on 3 days a week. Girl's almost been fired what, twice? They don't want to go back to the 2000s, so they'll ride for anyone who is FV's favorite. And I think Frank knows that, which is why he parked/parks Howarth and Easton with her - then he can tell the network 'they have a fanbase.' It's a symbiotic relationship at this point.

Not only does it make zero sense for Jason not to tell her - she has been plenty understanding until now - but I am even more offended that Britt doesn't almost immediately figure it out. She was there with him during his run. She knows about the issues about Carly and the org because they talked about it somewhat.
And she is a smart cookie and a former schemer herself. OF COURSE she would figure it out. Not necessarily on the spot but as soon as she had time to sit down and think, Britt as we had established her would get it.

And the drama could still unfold: she could still be pissed that he was doing it and pissed he didn't trust her enough to tell her and pissed he was willingly to break her heart for his job or whatever. Go ahead; tell your sorry.
But, as I feared when they started teasing Britt/Jason, they are defanging and dumbening Britt in order to turn her into Jason's heroine.

I am *so* excited for the new rooftop set! Looks incredible!

My main complaint is they took so many portraits from 2015 to 2019, and they've only released a handful of them, and they are usually of the same individuals. What I need to see are more of those more rare cast members, et al.
I'm wondering why we *never* received Maura West's opening shot, or even the opening shots for Rebecca Budig or even Mark Lawson.
I would not be surprised if TPTB jumped back into 2012 and using his portraits from them.
As for Ainsworth, Pullos and Swickard: their portraits come from 2018, 2019 and 2020, respectively.

Ultimately, what they should do is produce an entire cast publicity shoot, and release them.. not pick-and-choose who gets new images. Put them all out.

So much longing, yearning, and just good old fashioned romance in today’s episode.

I LOVED it (except Cam and Joss)

Probably.  She's turned into a really pretty young woman.   She's the missing piece to a love triangle.  Remember all that time they devoted to Emma/Spencer/Cameron?   Lol  Dark times...

I still don't see the big deal about NB being recast by some people.  Worst case scenario, this guy is a dud.  They can wait some time and bring him back like they did with Christie Clark on Days or Lexi as Kristina.   Lexi still looks like a teenager and she's 28 and married lol.

I find GH to be really good right now.  Miles better than Days and I usually find Days a much easier, quicker watch than GH.   I think after years of the same old same old different things are finally happening that are unexpected.

    • Ted also stays at the hotel and Vernon is probably aware of that. As much as Ted wants to be back in Nicole's good graces he might feel obligated to tell if he saw Vernon coming out of a woman's room since keeping secrets got him in so much trouble before.
    • One more thing on Tuesday's episode, did anyone else notice the weird blocking? Belle and Eric were thanking Sarah, and worrying about Lyme Disease (which must be a red herring, I can't believe we're watching a PSA about inspecting for tics).  Then, Belle turned to EJ and threatened him with a lawsuit.  EJ acted as if he hadn't heard the entire conversation that was happening two inches away from him.   I like EJ, but a little of silly/mean EJ goes a long way.  His sarcasm during that scene felt out of place, regardless of Eric's presence.  When he bugs his eyes, and feigns innocence, it is a little too OTT for my taste.  I understand that he was the punching bag for most scenes, but EJ feels more mature than resorting to funny faces.  Isn't rather quick to worry about Stephanie's sales, she just debuted the book yesterday in their timeline?  And why is everyone against Jada and Theo?  Jada could use a boytoy, and this doesn't feel like a "forever" romance.
    • I dont think he knew Leslie was staying there. I know this is all for the drama and mess which Im here for, but Vernon really could have easily rented a small studio space where he and Sharon could practice lol.
    • I understand that no one could ever replace Bernau, but Ron Raines is somewhat of a different beast. Still great (to me) though. He spent his entire TV run in one role, that was impossible to do justice correctly.
    • Again, Bernau's illness impacted that. It's pretty obvious Pilon was always meant to be temporary. I read an article from that period that said he was working on both Ryan's Hope and GL at the same time. So he wasn't on contract for either show. (Maybe that explains somewhat why his performance was so low energy, because he was overworked doing two soaps). Later, they put him in the opening and in commercials for the show. That must have been because they were certain Bernau was not returning. Around that time, they approached Zaslow about being the permanent replacement for Bernau. He turned them down and suggested coming back as Roger. Pilon stayed so they could re-introduce Roger and write an exit for Alan. I'm guessing if MZ had not wanted to come back, they would have had no choice but to keep Pilon (which I don't think they wanted, or maybe Pilon wasn't interested) or send out a casting call for a new Alan. I think they wanted to avoid that because they were really determined not to let the nature of Bernau's illness to become public knowledge. At this point, they were still keepin up the fiction that he was going to return even while this stuff was happening BTS.   Yeah, it seems crazy now, but people forget how stigmatized AIDS was back then. I'm convinced the idea to ask Zaslow to take the role came about so they could replace Bernau as quietly as possible. Everyone would have been so surprised it would have taken the focus off Bernau not returning. It makes a kind of twisted sense. Still, thank goodness Zazlow said no and they said yes to his suggestion to return as Roger. The way everything worked out gave GL a few more strong years. I guess it's the nature of soaps, you never know what things in real life will end up strongly impacting the show, both negatively and positively. (Something just occurred to me. If Zazlow HAD said yes to playing Alan...he would have had to play being in love with Reva.

    • I truly do not understand why this has not happened. It's so un-Carly-like not have confronted Joss already.
    • He definitely had it going on back in the day
    • I have long given up on logic and Mayor Laura Collins! It makes about as much sense as Luke being elected mayor over Lee Baldwin in the 80’s, maybe even less sense. She committed manslaughter as a teenager, was involved with a mobster (I guess credit for them taking Smith down), had a shoot out in her home and killed another mobster in self defense, thought she bludgeoned her stepfather to death, then was catatonic for years. Her current husband had a twin that was a serial killer, had his own breakdown that threatened lives, and most recently hid his brother for treatment and that allowed Ryan to escape and kill again. And had hook killer Esme as a houseguest and is raising her child. I don’t care for Sonny anymore but their relationship is just another thing that involves suspension of belief to watch the show. I wish someone on this show would remind these adults that they used to pull way worse stuff than this! I would love a scene where Laura is sitting with Lulu and tells her while she is not happy this is nothing compared to what she got up to when she was young, and maybe even some understanding that she would also do stupid stuff if she believed in the cause. Olivia reminding Dante that he was wild as a teen and this isn’t that. Felicia reminding Anna that they were being shot at when pretty close to Emma’s age. These characterizations are just so basic. Have some fun with the actual history of the show. That kind of wink would mean more to me than just name dropping some random fact.
    • There are no dumb questions here, we've all known each other long enough to fill in information without shaming each other.  We want you to be happy @carolineg.  Your POV as one of the few women here is vital. So, please, I hope you never feel as if any question, idea, or opinion is ever silly or stupid.  Your daily reminders about the realities of manicure and menstrual management has become a part of the personality of this thread. As for Hank, while I'm confident there's a plan in place.  It is frustrating that they announce these casting so far in advance that it is tough as an audience and wait it out until the thing happens.  I'm happy they didn't blow it the second Mike was in town, a week after meeting Liam. So, it is a slow burn. And, conveniently, he lets us know when his episodes air.

Speaking of silly stuff, is anyone bothered by the placement of Tony's pocket on his shirt?  It is so odd that whatever bargain bin they found it, would choose to place a huge black pocket over the floral design?
