Yeah, but Gwen's more than proven herself to be less than trustworthy.  She COULD be lying even about THAT.

If Gwen's mom is Laura, maybe she thinks she died when Pine Haven Sanitarium burned down in 1994. Or perhaps her mom is Penelope Kent.

The spoilers for this week say Laura is back with news about Gwen, so she’s in the mix somehow. I don’t think she is the mother, but I do think Gwen doesn’t know the full story. I think there is a good chance that Gwen has a mother out there somewhere. 

Gwen Davies?  Then she could be a namesake....  Yep reaching back like I-Ron-Y Carlivati......   O_O

Yeah, I'm guessing Laura has news on Gwen's real story and possible mental state. After all, we did meet Gwen with Claire in the psych hospital.

I will say after just having seen a short preview for next week’s DAYS, Jaime Lyn Bauer and Cady McClain pass as mother and daughter much more than JLB and Missy Reeves ever did. I’m looking forward to seeing them interact more next week.

To be fair, it does help that JLB has gone blonde (I'm assuming it's easier upkeep than trying to stay a redhead at that age).

They really looked good together and Jamie has such a soothing voice that I love on soaps. I know many hate her as Laura but I’m such a fan.

I’m a fan of her as Laura as well. Could we imagine Susan Flannery as Laura post 1990? I cannot.

As someone who has never seen her as Laura, I can’t picture her in that role *ever* lol. I’ve never seen Flannery as a heroine so I can’t picture it, although I’d love to see some of her in the role. The ironic thing is that for as much as people complain with Bauer pops in, I bet they would’ve have liked her in the role in the 90s or 00s.

I don't think it's that they HATE her so much as it's that HER Laura is so different from Susan Flannery's that it might as well be a different character.  Then again, Laura herself went through so much when she came apart psychologically, and I can't see Flannery playing THAT storyline either.

I'm a fan as well.

 

Don't know that I love Laura 'taking the fall', if you will, for the secret of Gwen, but it's great seeing her, and having her be involved helps her character I suppose under Ron, hopefully he uses her more.
