“The Jennifer Hudson Show” will be back for a fifth season after receiving a renewal order from the FOX Television Stations late last week. The news was announced by Lauren Blincoe, SVP, Current Programming for Telepictures, the Warner Bros. Discovery Group company that produces and distributes the daytime talk show, and Frank Cicha, Executive Vice President of Programming for Fox Television Stations.
“I could not be more honored to continue this journey alongside a phenomenal group of brilliant producers, dedicated crew, and collaborative partners,” said host Jennifer Hudson in a statement. “It is such a joy to connect with people in meaningful ways every day across this country and to share stories of heart and inspiration, all while bringing entertainment into people’s lives. None of this would be possible without our incredible audience. They are the heartbeat of the show, and I am so excited to take this to new heights in Season 5!”
The renewal comes as other veteran daytime talk shows, like “The Kelly Clarkson Show” and “Sherri,” are set to conclude at the end of the 2025-2026 television season, and as fans were contemplating the future of the genre as ratings and revenue continue to decline
For the 2025–26 season to date, “The Jennifer Hudson Show” stands out as one of the few daytime talk shows delivering year-over-year growth among Adults 25–54 and with viewership up +10% among Women 25–54. Meanwhile, in the digital space, Hudson’s talk show continues to deliver massive growth and engagement across platforms, ranking as the #1 daytime talk show on TikTok and Threads, and the second-most-followed daytime talk show across all social media platforms. In fact, the widely popular “Spirit Tunnel” has surpassed 6 billion total views since its introduction and has become a defining digital franchise—fueling cultural conversation, audience connection, and sustained cross-platform growth.
From January 2025 to January 2026, the show saw extraordinary gains, with total followers increasing by +90.7% to 17.5 million, impressions surging by +242.8% to 7.5 billion, and engagement climbing by +164.1% to 537 million. Platform growth includes TikTok up +82.7% (7.59M followers), Instagram up +131.3% (3.5M), Facebook up +127.4% (4.3M), YouTube up +27.8% (2.02M subscribers), X up +113.1% (97.7K), and Threads reaching +646K followers, further cementing the show’s cultural impact in the social media landscape.
“The renewal of ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ for a fifth season is a meaningful reminder that positivity, joy, and stories that celebrate the best in people continue to resonate deeply with viewers,” said Telepictures executive Lauren Blincoe. “Jennifer’s talent, heart, and generosity of spirit set a powerful tone and fuel the show’s success. We are profoundly grateful to her, and to the exceptional work and dedication of our executive producers, staff and crew, station partners, and loyal viewers. We celebrate this milestone and look forward to creating even more moments that lift, inspire, and allow guests and audiences to ‘feel the love.’”
“Jennifer Hudson is a powerful force on all platforms and works incredibly well with all of our stations,” said FOX’s Frank Cicha. “We are excited to have her back for year five.”
Produced by JHUD Productions and Telepictures, a Warner Bros. Television Group company, and distributed in national syndication by Warner Bros. Discovery Content Sales, “The Jennifer Hudson Show” is executive produced by Jennifer Hudson, Andy Lassner, Corey Palent, Graehme Morphy and Walter Williams III.
