She was from any scenes I've seen her on she does such an amazing stellar performance and you can take her acting seriously a lot of performances aren't taken as such.

Your right victor and nikki were the boring part of this episode but became soo popular years to come and til this day i guess lol

She just captivated everyone and creeped them out. When I watched her in the original run, she scared the hell out of me, especially when she wearing the veil. I was 13 years old at the time this aired... it was even during the school year, so I might not have seen this particular one. Although I stayed home from school at least 1 day every week.

From her lips to God's ears. It would be a dream come true to have 4 months worth of classic episodes airing. They'll be STRUGGLING for a theme each week, but we can certainly get some good stuff, even if they keep to characters still on the canvas. Paul and Nikki and Sumiko would be a candidate, Traci dumping the banana split over Lauren's head, etc.

Lol yes she did creep me out when i first saw her and i wasn't even alive when she was on the show either but damn what a character she was, it seems like Lorie is the only one who ever knew how evil that women truly was cause both lance and Lucas didn't realize until very late

Ten minutes in, and I don’t understand how any of the show’s PTB today can look at this and A, not notice the massive differences between their show and what the show was 40 years ago, or B, think that what they’re putting out today is better. It just looks and sounds positively beautiful.

And nice, long scenes that pull you in! The average viewer today can go into a scene not knowing anyone or anything but eventually know the gist of the story after just one scene of decent length. Can’t do that if you’re switching back and forth every thirty seconds.

I know some of y’all said that Victor and Nicki are the lowlight of this episode, but I’m loving them. The scene where Victor is describing “Victor Newman” to Nicki plays so well on the meticulous game he’s playing with her, complete with the great “Love is Gone” underscoring it and adding that extra sense of suspense.

The twins story is also so compelling! I just want to keep watching from this episode on!

Loved the Lorie and Vanessa story. April's twin sister story was interesting too. What happened to Barbara and why did she have those scars?

I'd love to see the 15 minutes that were edited out.

    • I strongly suspect the same. Happens often.
    • Beth #1 being recast right before she and Eric come face to face was jarring.  We spent the first 50 episodes or so getting to know Beth and see her rapport with her kids, co worker, and even her mother in law. Her Beth seemed content with her kids and job as caterer, but you could tell she also had a faraway look that you just knew meant that she dreamed of what life would have been like had she and Eric gotten together.   Plus, she came across as someone that you could see eventually moving into more wealthy circles based on her demeanor.   Seeing Beth always looking off into space probably helped fuel Brooke's dreams of wealth because she saw how unfulfilled her mother was.  Once Beth was recast starting in episode 52, that whole vibe completely changed and Beth #2 seemed to almost like living the middle class life.. and that her Beth would feel ill at ease around wealth, etc.
    • I agree.  I've always chalked it up to the fact that DALLAS had been a pop culture phenomenon for many years and that viewers, including viewers who'd stop watching years before, were tuning in one last time to say goodbye. Also agree that it was interesting to see KL finish 27th for the week.  Any show doing that well after 12 seasons is a miracle, lol.
    • I don't know anything BTS, but your theory seems reasonable.
    • In comparison to Maurice Johnson, sure, but he's still... stiff AF. "Leaps and bounds" is a strong exaggeration as well. Watching him is like watching paint dry. I'd recast him next, ASAP.
    • Yes! Andre easily could have just been a hunk with no real depth (like Derek) but his character is rounding out very nicely.
    • They're contract; anyone in the opening is a contract player.
    • I was watching an episode last night and noticed that Pictionary is taped in Atlanta. It's just a walk for Chandler to the studios.

    • my vote goes to Eden (Belle)! She single handed carried that show on her back !! Best family will probably be The Dingles! I have to say 2024-2025 was a mixed bag on all of them soaps ! But if I had to say which one would be the best I would give it to Emmerdale for Belle/Tom’s storyarc. It went on for too long but at least was written properly compared to others. But I do think Corrie will win best soap for Mason’s storyline  Best storyline… I wish it would be Belle and tom but the abuse story from Hollyoaks will take that 100%
