In that case, @mango, we're ALL being bitchy.  I don't even watch this show anymore and I can't wait for him to go! And take that passive-aggressive attitude with him on the way out.

First and foremost being his new screen partner, who won an Emmy back when the Daytime Emmys actually meant something!!

And I apologize for being bitchy but how this manipulator controlled the reigns for so long is just the tip of the iceberg. Strutting around all untouchable, not giving other storylines or actors the time of day, phoning it in during scenes. It just pisses me off.

While others, diligent workers and who put in years of tremendous performances regardless of whom they were paired with, were shown the door, this tool continued to use a fanbase to further his ego.

Don't apologize, @mango!  You're speaking everyone's truth!

Differences aside, got off work the other day and this made me lmao.

BYE, CANE!!!

The best part about the Lane departure scene is how cold it was — the writers clearly screwed him. Lily left without even hugging Cane goodbye. It could not have been any less emotional.

End of an era? LMAOOOOOOO

Right? I too think he was taken by surprise. I think Cane inheriting Devon’s money was his idea... but the direction the story took wasn’t part of his plans LOL

When Daniel Goddard exits there will be no more actors on the show that debuted under Lynn Latham.

Cool! Good riddance to all of them - except for that guy who got killed off pretty soon, he was in cahoots with Jack to regain control of Jabot via a fake company.

He couldn't accept being paired with older, heavier Beth Maitland, so he goes to TPTB, who take him up on his story suggestion...which ultimately ends with his surprise exit from the show altogether.

As Mama Khan would say, "Be careful of the hole you dig for someone.  It could be the same hole you dig for yourself."

But...but...he humbly asked everyone to watch. "One last walk down memory 'lane.' "

I'm not sure I believe in karma, but like they say, it is a bitch.

I think what Chris might mean is that when DG was filming those scenes, it is likely that he was unaware that his character was on borrowed time.  He has since learned after those scenes were taped but before they aired.

My bad! My sarcasm was directed at DG.

DG made it seem was like there was going to be some huge retrospective of the couple, flashbacks, voiceovers, the works. Whoops, DG. Whoops.

Yeah, DG thought he was so clever but in the end, he 'outfoxed' himself.
