Welcome back, bitch!

So I guess this whole Katie going crazy thing was to throw us off the Sheila scent/introduce the story.

We should have known she's back when Lt. Baker got involved!

I'm thinking Brad Bell pulled off one of the biggest surprises in recent daytime history today. I don't think anyone saw it coming, certainly no one on this board. It's nice to know it's still possible to create a Friday cliffhanger, something the soaps used to be so good at. Kudos B&B

No. I'm not Bradley Bell. I'm just saying how nobody really saw this coming, and that the show did everything possible to keep the reveal a surprise. As posters often comment, the soaps don't surprise anymore. When one does successfully, I see nothing wrong in giving credit where credit is due.

It certainly was a big surprise and I'll give credit for two things: 1) no characters even mentioned Sheila - not even in passing and 2) the set security. Only one site spoiled it early this morning and I only noticed that when I did a search after the news broke.

Also, credit B&B's quick production model, remember the show was foolishly pre-empted for a nothing news conference only 4 weeks ago today. Most shows take 6-8 weeks to get back to Friday cliffhangers, sync holiday episodes etc. That's pretty darned amazing. I seriously doubt it was going to be set for a Thursday reveal.

Yes.  There was an article about the the Katie/Quinn story in this week's TV Guide magazine that hinted that something huge was going to happen with this story today that would interest veteran fans.  I really thought it was going to be Monday because of that pre-emption, so I was a little surprised that in did in fact air today and we got a good old-fashioned Friday cliff-hanger.  And that promo at the end of the episode was giving me all kinds of feelings and excited for the summer.  Brad better not disappoint.

    • Slower day, but not bad. I thought Tomas was at his personal best today, flirting with Kat at Uptown.  Hayley is pregnant!  Oh boy... Samantha felt more like the babysitter today vs. the young sister. I'm ready to meet Sharon. I want a strong dynamic so it's not a repeat of what we just saw with Tracy's reunion.
    • They've been on same day for three episodes, which is a good thing because the days flowed weird to me before.
    • I see both Lois and BLQs sides re Gio BLQ wanted her son to be happy. Lois wanted to make sure it happened, so she gave him to family. Selfish?  Yes, but I get it Gio was raised by a loving mother and extended family. Lois followed BLQ wishes Great acting by AS & RS

date: Tuesday, May 27 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford I feel bad for Chelsea; she's exploring her feelings, and they're getting [unintentionally] hurt. But I love the support that Katherine has for her cousin. Bradley, you deserve one hundred times better than Deadbeat. So much more. Anita essentially tossing Tracy out... whew. She's done. DONE. Ouch... Chelsea hit the nerve with Katherine. How interesting... I feel like Tracy is becoming the mirror Anita has been avoiding while being a Dupree. What are these top secret things she's harbouring? I really hope Jessica's interest in Tyrell is genuine, because if it isn't, it might just destroy him. Back alley meetings? Your family? As if Bradley is not part of your family... Deadbeat, sit your ass down. Hey, Childbride, lower your damn voice. You're in the country club, not the country field where your ass belongs. And oh God, she's knocked up. Whew... here we go! Dante Greene, what control did this man have? But I appreciate that Anita and Tracy are uniting together; I pray that Sharon joins them soon. I love how easy Katherine and Tomas are with each other; it's smooth, it's natural and it's blooming in all the right ways. Hayley is about to battle the Dupree women for all she's worth. I am calling it right now. The unwavering support Vernon continues to provide to Anita is paramount; I adore them as the couple they are. Notes: Mike Manning (Bradley) continues to show up time and time again in scenes with Brandon Claybon (Deadbeat), who brings nothing to the table. There is an extreme lack of romantic chemistry between them. I'm wondering how different Dante Greene is going to be in comparison to Berry Gordy Jnr; we know the true history of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but how different will it be with Anita Williams and the Articulettes?
    • This episode is beyond excellent Could have waited on tge Trina Kai scenes  but regardless  great soap
    • Haha same! I didn't like her in the beginning, but over time, I've really grown to love to hate her as a villain.  I can't wait to listen to today's new episode later tonight! I've been waiting for the mom and dad (Crystal/Vincent) to have an interaction, so I'm happy to hear it's today.
    • I've always really been enjoying the show. It's very well produced and has so many soap stars in it. I was just listening to ep 7 on YoutTube and can say I'm hooked. There was an intense scene with Crystal Chappell and Vincent Irizarry about halfway through that was GOOD! Is it bad I kind of like Mina? I know she's supposed to be the main villian
    • This isn't a bad episode, but I'm finding myself not as engaged. Must be the lack of Eva and Leslie. No Nicole, Dani.
    • Yes!! I didn't realize it before, and had a busy weekend, so wasn't here much

Wow, what happened to AMC this week? Crashing from 8.4 to 6.6.. I mean, I know they used to go up and down much more than they do today, but this seems like a harsh drop (from 7th to 13th). And nice to see Y&R's first weeks
