In theory and in a different environment, I don't have a problem with Nora making an appearance for a case (and I will watch it, sadly - Nora is a favorite). That's a typical old minor crossover ABC used to do with its soaps. But in the reality we're in, Frank and Ron have pushed this [!@#$%^&*] for far too long and all I can do is sigh and shake my head. When Howarth and Easton are already pulling massive focus on the show it's just so inappropriate.

That being said, as long as she doesn't rewrite Prospect Park's run (and I doubt she will in a single story-related appearance) I can survive.

I doubt anything in this guest stint can ruin her as much as OLTL did in the late '90s. It's likely just a bit so Valentini can do a victory lap. I do admit I can't stomach the idea of her with Franco, and you know that will happen.

Oh give me a break people i think its fun Jean and Shelly are bringing back Nora and HBS is an awesome actress. She adds anything to the canvas its probably short term. So if GH is trash why are its ratings going up? U guys praise SalIUGH Sussman and shes down almost 700000 viewers from JFP thats pathetic.

Just saw an SID with Cameron Mathison and Robert S. Woods being in "alleged" talks.

Frank  fix your mess you call a show or go. Bringing in these characters doesn't fix the crap that's sucking the life out of it.

As much as I love HBS and RSW, this is only going to f*ck the characters we actually liked on OLTL.

    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
    • I think we all will, isn't that how soaps work? lol
    • ^^ I'll believe it when it actually happens.
