Not sure about VR but Debbie Morgan doesn't bring in ratings. Look at AMC numbers during her time there….

Lots of tea will be spilled, and I'm here for it. Rowell comes off as bitter but she's not crazy, something black folks are accused of when they take a stand. I remember when she was on Soaptalk with the cast years ago, and she was talking about AAs in Daytime and was cut off mid sentence. I don't care about the outcome as long as she puts those racists on blast! This is the same network that houses a fool that does not think Denzel s/b a lead in a movie.

I think VR would help the ratings, but right or wrong, it would be very hard to see any soap taking her on again. I guess I've never truly accepted that we wouldn't see her on Y&R again, but this is obviously the nail in the coffin. Well, maybe the nail in the coffin was when she started tweeting Y&R sponsors. This is more like the dirt on the coffin. It sucks because because I really miss her.

She might have had a case for discrimination at one point, I'm not sure. However, suing a company for not hiring you back, after you asked out of your last contract seems unreasonable. Why would they have any obligation to do that? I'll be interested to see how far this gets and what a judge has to say about it.

I love VR to death but she has to let it go. She needs to capitalize on this current trend of AA's being a hot commodity in Hollywood and take The Rich and Ruthless from novel to screenplay.

I don't see how her lawyers haven't realized that the statute of limitations has run out of any claim she may have had, though the existence of such a claim is very doubtful given that Rowell didn't leave the show in a way that hinted at her contract being terminated. The idea of suing someone because they refuse to re-hire you is absurd.

I guess she will never darken cbs door ways again. Rowell needs to stop first of all she was already off the show and they have tons of actors who said how difficult she was. She said horrifying things about Steve Kent. Women give it a freaking rest.

I guarantee with this lawsuit that CBS will decide to recast Drucilla.

I doubt it. If anything things have improved for Devon. He seems more legitimate now than years ago when he was dusted off for a barely existing romance with Roxy

This may sound hokey but if I had the chance to talk to her, I would encourage her to take that energy (like someone else posted previously in this thread) and put it into a Part Steamboat part 30 Rock-like script, skewering the industry. Join forces with someone like Robert Townsend (remember how funny The Bold, The Black, The Beautiful was?) and create a pilot and head to Amazon or Netflix with it.

This thing with CBS seems like...I just don't know.
