All they really had to do was kill Villy - Problem solved!

Burgess and Heinle will do that on their own in due time. I've yet to see anyone who thinks they're great together.

While folks are fawning all over NuImprovedAdam/Chelsea/HillBilly, it will be Vicky who?

Will people be fawning over that triangle? I find it hard to believe that it will go over any better than the quad. Two newbies fighting over Chelsea, someone with no real connections to canvas and to long time views is new herself. I can't fathom being interested in it.

Do you mean newbies as in the actors because the characters they portray aren't. It's still Adam and Billy fighting over Chelsea.

Omg talk about looking and finding older videos. I found a 1995 video of Gina Tognoni at 21 on oltl. She was so green and young and a bit heavier. Has she not come a long way in 20 years? She's grown up.

It took playing Dinah for her to find her way. She was never anything special on OLTL and the Kelly character never had any real direction no matter who was playing her.

Yes. I meant new actors. Recast take time to get used to. They shouldn't be front burner on everyday right off the bat. All these new faces telling a continuation type story just doesn't work for me.

Kelly Cramer is one, if not the, most hated character in soaps to me. And Dinah Marler was one of my faves, and I never dreamed I could enjoy that character with anyone but Wendy Moniz. GT did a fabulous job. And she's marvelous as Phyllis so far.

Heather Tom did more of a job making Kelly a believable character than Gina ever did.

However Gina (thus far) has invested Phyllis (much like Sandra Nelson before her) with the malevolence & genuine darkness that was the hallmark of the character as she was originally conceived (before the post-Alden regimes foolishly attempted to retcon her into a "heroine").

Agree. It's amazing how much more relateable the character is with a different (better) actress. Also loving Ashley. She classes up every scene she's in. OTOH I wish the show would get rid of Avery. She adds nothing IMHO and has brought no chemistry with any male character so far. She was mediocre with Nick, really boring with Dylan and I didn't see any sparks today with Joe Clark, poor guy. He has potential but Avery sucks the life out of male characters.
