Not by me! I've said it before and I'll say it again: at this point, I'd rather see Y&R cancelled.

Kahn/Jonathan don't read this!!!

I don't care what what LaLucci said. It is her opinion! I have watched soaps for as long as she has starred on AMC, and I maintain if GH can be decimated on a daily basis by 2 hacks and the show is considered revitalized, Chucky going to YR should be no problem for the same folks who are against him but champion Craptini. GH is a daily horror show and Craptini are the wrong duo for it, but that has not stopped it from "thriving". Chucky will do the same for YR! Be positive. Soaps need our support so give yours to Chucky, right?

LOL While my brain shares this opinion & understands it, I'm not quite sure I can take the end just yet.

I guess I'll use this time to prepare for it. :(

I'm not so sure about that. "Cartini" is worse because it's a two-headed monster of FV and RC but if we're just matching up writers, Pratt and Carlivati are pretty much equal. It's basically an argument between projectile vomiting vs. explosive diarrhea.

They both have the same deep-seated disrespect for the audience, genre and especially the basic tenets of storytelling. If you want to see the damage Pratt is capable of even outside of a soap context, I'd recommend watching the show "Twisted." I binge-watched it one week and you could immediately see his influence when he took over as headwriter. He turns everything into "Melrose Place."

LMAO!!!! I guess Genoa City has been a little low on rape by insemination and villains in cryogenic chambers.

First orders of business: Sheila.

But why would we cry if any of the remaining 4 were gone? They are all very bad. It's not like the loss of Another World or any other good soap. The loss of current YR or GH would be the equivalent to the loss of Passions!

The final 4 should be showing why Soaps should still be on the air. Not one of the current soaps is remotely proving this!

I can't speak for anyone else but Y&R is still my show and still my favorite. I may not be able to watch it anymore but that doesn't mean I don't still hate--HATE--what has been happening to it... and the worse is yet to come. It doesn't matter what condition it is. I have loved it for decades and it's devastating to me.

What does Ron and Frank anything to do with y and r? They are viewed as a success by ratings and the media. U loathe them and the prexy of abc has said they will be there a long time. Pratt was a horrific failure for amc. He IMO is the one who got the show cancelled by abc. It never recovered and all the actors stated how bad he was. I don't think I ever saw lucci complain except when it came to him. Pratt has much bigger ego as he was a co exec producer and head writer for meleose and just did lying game. Let's also remember he was an exec producer on desperate housewives. He's one of the few daytime writers who has branched into prime time and has success. He has zero history with y and r. Why wasn't Kay Alden called in as an exec consultant? Let's just say I am worried for y and r. I think since Jill won those Emmys she's got power.

It is amazing how no matter what the topic you seek to turn it into a discussion about Ron Carlivati. I imagine if I said to you "wow, looks like it might rain" you might reply "does it matter? Craptini rain on GH and it survives"

And no, they did not do any of the things I mentioned...not even close, and not once.

You're exaggerating, but if it makes you feel good, carry on.

My point was that YOU expressed why Pratt will be bad for YR, yet you champion that foul duo decimating GH. YR will be fine under Pratt if he brings to the table what Craptini has brought to GH!

I will champion anyone who is not Guza and Pratt and anyone who doesn't fetishize the mob and feature Steve Burton daily. I also don't believe I exaggerated anything and in fact all those things I mentioned actually happened on GH and AMC and happened under Pratt. Your obsession prevents you from discussing any topic anywhere without bring it back to "FrankenRon" or whatever you are calling them. Let the people who want to discuss Pratt discuss Pratt without listening to these off topic rants which they could find on every page of the GH thread for the last 14 months probably.

    • Thanks for that. It was great to see her in an interview. She's very likable. Although it was somewhat confusing. What new soap is she talking about going on audition for in 1973. Was it The Young and the Restless? The editing around that part was weird and choppy. I felt like there was a chunk missing or something. And I'm not sure why she was saying she got colorectal cancer from HPV and said it's because she never got the HPV vaccine but then said she's never had anal sex. I'm not a doctor but that didn't seem to make any medical sense. I don't know. Maybe I'm tired. It just seemed like some of this interview didn't make sense.
    • If it helps any, the last script cover from the Elman papers that I have is from episode #3,736 airdate November 15, 1977. Writers are the Hollands with Frank Salisbury.
    • B&B really does look incredible. The lighting and the polished sets have made a significant difference how visually appealing the show is now.
    • I found the problem with the Labine era was that the show lost some humour when the Labines came on and it could be dull. They also didn't seem to understand some of the characters. As others have said, it looks fantastic in comparison to the next regime but I just remember boredom being the primary response.
    • Something I didn't realize: Frank Ashmore, who played Monica's investigator Corrigan in 1981, was also Victor, the third guy in the cockpit, in Airplane!
    • Thanks, maybe I will skim through those episodes.  I have previously binged late 1985 through early 1987; April-June, August 1992 (I skipped Carlo Hesser murder trial), Jan-March 1995 and I began watching in 2006. I just struggle to stay consistent with routines especially binging routines haha
    • I could've sworn we went over the Bobbie thing a while ago, and saw her introduced to Rick and Lesley as "Nurse Barbara" in very late '77? Or was that early '78? I know the clip is online. Jackie always credited Marland with creating her IIRC.
    • Thanks.  Loon Lake - very on the nose. With that "dad" outfit Bo looks even more like Cassie's father...
    • Luna parachutes herself into Llanview at the end of September 15th 1991.
    • That lengthy flashback does make me wonder if she threw out a lot, but I agree it may have been too easy an urban legend. Would these have been her very first episodes? I imagine you could feel the big difference when Bobbie arrived, alongside the Quartermaines filing in, the return of Heather, and Lesley/Rick/Monica/Alan heating up. It does remind me that there must have been some dud moments in the 60-minute format we just don't see because little of the period is available in full.  I wonder how much longer the Dantes lasted under Marland.  David Hamilton is so disgusting. I appreciate the show making him disgust as some shows when they have stories about older men or women manipulating teens aren't as honest.  I can't see this Rick being friends with him. Chris Robinson's Rick, on the other hand, I could believe.
