I was being sarcastic about DT. If his firing is indication of who might be next, I would guess CG might follow.

I'm not saying CG is ugly. And you well know I don't go for the traditional stick figures. I guess since I was not a regular viewer once Sharon showed up, I just don't have any emotional connection with the actress who played Cassie. I remember the story, but I was never invested in that part of the canvas until just recently. So she really hasn't added anything to the show for me, and I don't really care for the new character, and I don't always understand what CG is going for. I see very little vulnerability and there should be more IMO.

Since I always despised Shick, I don't think my liking CG has anything to do with affection for Cassie or her place on canvas. Besides, she was an ANNOYING child that became a disrespectful, unbearable preteen. Shoot me, its my opinion. I am not a big fan of Mariah either but I do like CG in general. I like her look and i like her energy in scenes.

I don't see CG going anywhere anytime soon for some reason. I can't exactly say why. Lol

I agree with rhino, I don't find CG attractive at all, but I do like that she has meat on her bones. She has a terrific figure, but its ridiculous that Tyler would have been involved with her. I don't buy it. So far, Tyler's fine ass is a loser when it comes to picking chicks. Plain Jane totally out of his league and a high maintenance air head? RW should have picked up where Shemar left off, but that just aint happening.

Several reasons for why that isn't happening:

1) RW just can not act. He is too wooden in scenes. Shemar Moore couldn't act very well either but he had charisma. Something this pairing with Abby just sapped right out of Tyler. He has 0 swag. And I do mean 0. When he first came on I watched his scenes just to see his fine ass. Now he is not even that attractive anymore. What happened?

2. The writing is horrible. He needs to get away from both Abby and Mariah. It just doesn't work nor do I buy it unless he is gold digging Abby. I will never buy Mariah.

I liked RW so much more in the Lane sphere, the Abby pairing truly did kill all of the potential the Tyler character had. Is Mason even on the show on. He always had less to do out of the two of them, but it appears he's totally vanished now.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to try and minimize your opinion. I was really just explaining my own lack of interest.

I definitely see some chemistry with MCE and DT. He actually comes alive in scenes with her.

Ditto on both of these.

I hate that Lane fans b*tched so much over their pairing being split that they ruined any true story potential for all three characters. And Abby/Tyler pairing would've been way more interesting if they played on the beat of Lily being jealous then starting an affair with Tyler on the side. Then have Abby be pissed that Lily, her deceased sister's close friend, screwed her man and constantly throw Colleen in Lily's face to guilt her. That would've been more interesting IMO.

And IDK why they just didn't see that DT's Billy clicked with Chelsea. Hell, I thought he clicked with Chloe too. This was the fine time to place Billy back into his rightful orbit and have Chelsea and Chloe vie for his attention. Instead, they are trying to beat at a dead horse and keep him with Snorboria when I never believed in that pairing. Not even when BM occupied the role.

Switching over to today's episode, I honestly don't care about this Paul getting shot story or Justin, Austin--whatever his name is. It's apparent that they are using the lovers on the run trope to try and bring in young viewers for the summer but it's not gonna work. It worked for couples (and friendships) like Luke/Laura, Beth/Phillip, Bo/Hope, Patch/Kayla, Jenny/Jesse, Daniel/Lily, Kelly/Jeffrey because there was build up and an actual story to it. This story just came out of left field, and I couldn't care less. The writers have no one to blame but themselves because they should've spent all year trying to make me care for Dylan, Avery, Paul (again), Summer, and even Austin. Honestly, I don't care much for any of them. I like Paul but he's been absent all year. Dylan and Avery are a bore. And Summer could've won me over had the writers played the beat of the model story and made her into some junkie because she was depressed over the loss of Redzilla, only to become rehabilitated.

And where is Fen in this story?

He's Summer's BFF/potential love interest. I would've liked for him to have some part in this story. To be an obstacle to the "great love story" that is about to be Austin/Summer. All this hoopla and there are no proper beats or real payoff.

Y&R is back to being for the birds....-_-

...and yup.

Y&R has been so hasty to cast and recast and throw people into pairings. Why couldn't they give us some time to care, or at least tolerate some of these characters before flinging them into another situation?

Tyler was interesting, especially when we weren't sure, but could only guess whether something would happen with Lily. Then they ripped him away from that and tossed him into a vapid pairing with Abby, who I think was better off arguing with Chavez

Hillary was far more interesting when she was free and had options. Now, she's thrown into a pairing with Neil and all we're left to wonder is just how long it will be until that fool proposes because we know Neil cannot help himself, if there is a woman involved, he will eventually propose.

DT was just starting to hit his stride where the character was concerned. He had built chemistry with everyone except AH but now gone because somehow it was necessary to roll the dice and get someone who would look older than Victoria, because that's the priority, I guess.

Now Summer is involved with a guy who I don't know and don't care about. If he dropped down into a well and we never saw him again, I honestly would not care.

Sorry to say, but same for Kelly. I like CM but the character she portrays, I'm not the least bit interested in. When CW played her, while I cannot say I cared, at least I was interested in who this characters was. Can't say the same now.

Bland boring, predictable writing. They're making it really hard on these actors.

Amen! No lies told here. The bold part has me cracking up.

Oh no. I didn't think you were minimalizing at all.

Are you sure? You're sure they weren't bullying you by expressing an opposite opinion?

Imagine if JFP hired Guza and Pratt for Y and R. I could see that happening.

I am starting to wonder if you're on a constant wind-up. Lol

But seriously, the 'simple' thing to do would be to go back to the people who understand the show's history and fabric. However, it would appear SONY and CBS favour the ABC approach to soap operas.

And most of the old Bell writers and producers appear to have either left Daytime, passed on or are holed up on B&B.

I like DT well enough I don't get the Billy Miller hoopla he was good in the role, he's gone, that' it...the whining about get him back is just silly. AH' Victoria zaps the life out of anyone who plays opposite her in a pairing including Stitch. So who knows how this new guy will play out.

Dramatic D: You're so right about Neil proposing laugh.png already she' moved in hey after a few rolls in the hay he wants to make it permanent, who knew?

The stories are just Eh... Avery & Dylan just don't have any charisma whatsoever. Still not feeling Jack and Kelly.

I'm getting a vibe re: Noah and Mariah.. are they hooking up? Seems awfully plot pointy Nick doing an about face so she' conveniently plopped in his bar. Still missing Tatyana Ali, now she would have made a great Lily instead of Devon' girlfriend. I can see her as Dru' daughter.
