If you are willing to just look at it on its own merits (singing, dancing, performing) and not filter it through a lens of "RC sucks, this is not what a soap is supposed to be" then it was a good opening number. You describe it as a mockery, but what exactly do you think it was a mockery of?

Tracy looked great but why does she even look at Luke twice?!

I actually almost liked Olivia when she dragged Ned up there. Ned's reaction was too funny!

I am certainly no fan of Maxie's but even she is far too good for that dirty hippy Levi. He makes me so sick.

Loved the drama with Kevin/Lucy/Scott. And Felicia/Mac/Mr. Marbles were so cute.

Bobbie looked glamorous! I forgot Jackie Zeman was still on the show.

"We'll. see. about. that." - Worst acting ever. Spencer is just creepy. What kid acts and talks like he does?! And Nik is a loser.

Dr. O's 'performance' was the best part by far! Too funny!! Almost as funny was NO ONE clapping!

I feel like Ron was foreshadowing of what's to come. Watch and see Spencer become a little murder and kill poor Cameron. He already looks and acts like Will Winslow from Guiding Light (who also played Damien on remake of The Omen)....

I actually kind of liked Dr.O's performance whatever the hell it was, but overall, the NB has clearly become just a platform for silliness, camp, bombshell revelations, etc. Even moreso when you consider the fact that Dr. O should be UNDER the jail by now, instead of hanging out at public fundraisers. No to Felix and Lucas, just no! It might be somewhat easier to accept them if they were to be given proper buildup. It wasn't that long ago that Felix wanted to scratch Lucas's eyes out because of Brad. Is that now forgotten between them? Brad will then run around trying to win back Lucas and it's just another annoying triangle from a different angle. Um, no! When will Maxie and Nathan appear to want each other? RC is king of insta-coupling so why hasn't Maxie/Nathan happened already? And Levi? I can't decide if they want me to hate him or not. He seemed controlling at first but then felt sorry for Maxie and gave in to the two of them attending the NB.
