Y&R August 2013 Discussion

I wouldn't be surprised if it was for Hilary. Yes she's recurring, but she's still basically considered a contract cast member. I could see her not specifying in the lawsuit. I'm sure she has some sort of contract with her recurring status as well. My only get with her dumb ass is that she thought it was for B&B or another soap.

She's not basically still a contract member. Her pay is different, which is why she wanted her contract with her manager renegotiated and the show can drop her at any time.

Lord knows I'm no CK fan, but I hope she sues their asses off. That had to be a humiliating experience, and we all know how upsetting it is to not get the services you are paying for. There is no way an A lister would have received such treatment. It is up to her her agency to know her current job (especially since they are receiving a cut) and know where and who she is auditioning for! How much more should have CK have done - prepare for the character for which she is auditioning? I don't know, but if I am paying for a service, the foot work I should do will be minimum!

LMAO!!! I can't believe her talent agency cares so little about her that they sent her on an audition for Y&R, a show she's won an Emmy for! biggrin.pngbiggrin.pngbiggrin.png That is so over the top! I bet it was for this Hilary role.

Agreed. That is terrible. While I'm "like totally" indifferent on CK, I wouldn't even wish that on AH! I'm guess since Y&R is filmed at CBS Studios, she probably thought it was for a CBS drama pilot. Whatever the reason, it's too bad that had to happen to her.

Honestly, I would wish this on Amelia Heinle's lazy ass too. I will never stop finding this hilarious! It couldn't have happened to a better actress.

LMAO - thanks for sharing!!!

That is hilarious.

Okay, I'm glad I wasn't the only one who started laughing when I read this.

I'm curious as to how exactly this happened? When exactly did it dawn on her that she was auditioning for a role on the same show she was already on?laugh.png

I want a re-enactment. tongue.png

That Khalil story is about the most hilarious thing I've heard in a long time!

You know, I actually want to like the whole Dylan/Chelsea story, I really do in spite of how cliche it is. However It's just too sleep inducing to watch as unfortunately Burton and Egan simply lack the energy to drive the show.

Really Mavrick!? That is ridiculous. Send her to her own show? I know that had to be embarrassing.

But she accuses them of being negligent in her career. That reads to me that she thinks her career is not further along because of the agency instead of her mediocre talent. Mishell Williams has managed to outshine her in every scene they have.

She should have never gone recurring. It was her choice wasn't it because she wanted to audition for pilot season...but it seems that choice and plane flying by her fans was a waste because she barely got auditions. That audition at Y&R was definitely for Hilary.

I'm guessing she figured it out when she received the script. I doubt she actually went to the studio or, more likely, when Y&R casting told her that her agency submitted her for an audition. I actually would be the VR could empathize with her because there are so few roles for black women that her agency just saw the casting call and pulled CK from its roster. You know that's the only reason why they considered her because that is the sad state of hypocritical Hollywood.

The actress is named Mishael Morgan and yes she's definitely outshining CK and her only prior experience with Y&R is watching it on TV for years. CK has years of actually being on the show and sucks.

I stand corrected. Anyways the actress is good. CK only sucks because she is playing Lily. She is just miscast.

Christel has had times when she was okay. I liked her in the beginning (I think working closely with Rowell HELPED her), I liked her always with Michael Grazaidei, but she is a lazy actress and can't make bad material work. From beginning to end the relationship with Cane is a dud, so she's never been able to pull that off. I LOVED her when Cane was dead and she grew a backbone and was back with Daniel, but when that ended she went back to sucking.
