Yeah, I want a totally new opening. I would keep the music because it like it but this one feels so remedial. (See David. See David and Cara. See David crying at his dead daughter's grave.) As the show "settles" and finds its voice and we get a better grip on who the cast really is I'd like to see something that's more creative and less like a video yearbook. Also, having characters paired off in the credits (Pete/Celia, Zach/Lea) is a bad, bad idea.

I agree- the pairings were a terrible idea (although I feel less strongly that way in the OLTL opening as its less "opening credits-y"). But really the only time that's ok is in like an Edward and Lila Quartermaine situation. I do like the music too and I think it makes sense to keep it but I'll continue to dream of an updated version of the pearls opening 90s theme music.

Yeah, come for a wedding to Brooke. I've waited 24 yrs for a wedding. Get them married and then Adam can take his trips to clean up Adam Jr's mess.

Enough of his time was wasted having scenes with others. Really didn't need to have Adam listen to Bianca's woes OR giving Palmer's son business tips if he wasn't coming back anytime soon. And his goodbye with Brooke should've been private. Why those teens have to constantly be there - spare me Miranda having her tutoring lesson with Celia during my couple's goodbye. UGH!!

I HATE the story GS is giving MN. I didn't wait 24 yrs for that. Dimitri can wait for Erica or go join his brother.

I love Brooke and Adam but I'm pleased to see that she isn't going to be held hostage to her pairing with Adam. I've seen too many cases where an actor or character isn't allowed to be a part of the canvas because a part of the audience can/will only accept them as part of a certain pairing and more often than not its the woman. (Exhibit A: Dixie Cooney Martin) If DC doesn't want to be a regular part of the show, there's no reason Brooke or JB should be relegated to the sidelines and if Canary does come back to the show in a more robust capacity I look forward to Dimitri/Brooke/Adam triangle. That would be EVERYTHING.

I say this as someone who counts Booke as his favorite soap character, and Adam not being far behind--and as someone who has watched hours of AMC episdes back from when they first met, etc.... You kinda need a life. I mean, if that's your big issue with the show--that you need to see a wedding, it's not gonna happen anytime soon.

R Sinclair?

They don't seem to post here now. I miss some of the AMC and GH posts, they were very entertaining and amusing.

I haven't watched the episode yet but everything I keep seeing of that scene kind of scares me. ohmy.png It's like the Queen video I never wanted to see.

    • What Dan Curtis never seemed to understand -- and what Art Wallace knew from the get-go -- is that a slow, suspenseful build-up creates a far more satisfying episode than the constant "cliffhangers" that never amounted to much.  ("I'm going to kiillll you, Julia!" before every commercial break, lol.)

    • Watch and form your own point of view; even in its flaws, this soap is soaping.
    • The show is excellent in my opinion.  There are a couple of less-than-stellar actors and a couple of bad storylines, but otherwise it's awesome and I watch many of the episodes twice.  However, episode #55 from May 19 was really bad, which is where you popped into the thread, but it was the *first* really bad episode.  So 54 great episodes out of a total of 55 episodes is pretty good, in my opinion!  I haven't seen today (#56) yet, but I hear it's good.  Will watch in a couple of hours.
    • LOL!  Yes, very much so.  Better episode today than yesterday. TMG really is a gift.
    • Hopeful that Tracy can prove her innocence

    • I remember this being in the soap press at the time, they were going to be focused on rebuilding the Bauers, Reardons and Spauldings..and we saw they kind of just created a new Reardon (Chelsea when Nola was always supposed to be the youngest) a new Bauer with an offshoot of the main family,(Johnny) so I am sure they were going to do the same with Alan. New writers may have changed all that..(Long later brought  back Amanda for the Christmas episodes...leading into Alex/Phillip dethroning Alan.) I thought Poser should play an different character then Amanda...maybe an adopted daughter. We know Alan had a woman who he lived with in San Rios, they could have had her die and to pay her back for saving his life he adopts her daughter and trains her in all the ways to be a Spaulding. He pays a debt and he has a secret weapon to unleash on the family when he needed to so he keeps in his back pocket.

date: Tuesday, May 20 | Ron Carlivati, Cheryl L. Davis | Shelley Curtis Pack up your crap, Derek. And take that hideous chair with you, but don't throw out the food! We know you have a particular habit of doing that. Anita being nervous about Tracey's arrival is cute, and I love that Vernon joined her. I'm just hoping Sharon will join them soon. Tomas and Eva keep getting ... teased! I appreciate him filling her in on what happened with Dana and Katherine. Dana, what in the world are you working at?! If I saw you with your evil smiles in my hospital room as I woke up, I'd be questioning what nightmare I was existing within. I appreciate the continued evolution of Tomas' backstory and where he's come from. It sounds familiar to what I've heard from others, so it's nice that true history can be nodded to. Derek, there is no way in Hell Jacob and/or Naomi want your stank-gross behind crashing on their couch. Katherine better be careful; she keeps intercepting Dana at all of these places, and if she is not careful, she may become the primary target of her plans. Dante Greene? Is he the Barry Gordy Jnr of the story? I appreciate that Tracy has some genuine feelings towards Anita and their past history. But I appreciate that she is at least open-minded to reuniting with Anita on a personal basis; it'll be interesting to see how Sharon reacts when she arrives (I am guessing). Not the wig washing. Dana's personalities and wigs must be an ongoing gag. But good on Eva for calling her out about being falsely accused of running Laura off of the road. I've said it once, and I will say it again: Katherine should be a detective, because her instincts are sharper than sharp. Notes: Can we stop having the male actors on this show sitting on tables? It's such a pet peeve of mine. Like, chairs exist for your backside to sit on, not tables where we EAT! The top they have Tamara Tunie (Anita) in would annoy the frick out of me if that flower kept hitting me in my chin. I'd be pulling that crap off immediately.
