December 2, 201114 yr Member I can't think of one OLTL actor I'd want to see on GH. I mean, besides Mark Lawson. Edited December 2, 201114 yr by Khan
December 2, 201114 yr Member If there are any non-acting brunettes with killer abs and an inability to close their mouth, they will probably be hired. David A. Gregory IN as back-from-the-dead A.J. Quartermaine!
December 2, 201114 yr Member Carlivati loves big returns and with all the big exits, I expect lots of that. They need to totally shake up this cast. It's very stale as we get the same people day in and day out. I expect Lucy and Kevin to return as he loves comedy characters. I could see him doing great things with Lucy. I'm excited. He still has Wolf's stories to sort through, which seem very damaging. They need to get in there fast before nobody is left. I'm glad GH is gonna get a decent swan song! ABC fans are more lucky than they know! I'll never forget ATWT and AW acting like the show was never ending. Got nothing for all those years of service. Just the same bad stories and a rushed ending. I hate to be disagreeing with you so much lately but how particularly does Carlivati love big returns, atleast compared to any other HW?

December 2, 201114 yr Member What I want to know is why in the world Frank Valentini and Ron Carlivati want the jobs of EP and HW. Why would you sign on for a job knowing you will be out of work in less than 1 year instead of trying to get a job in primetime/film/theatre/etc.? Because it guarnatees probably roughly a year's work anyway, and jobs that pay as much as even fairly cheap EP and HW positions are NOT easy to find. Ron Carlivati is a writer--he can write some plays and shop them around and maybe make something close to a year HW salary if he happens to either write a play that is optioned for a major film or has one of the increasingly rare modern, non musical BROADWAY (not off Broadway) hits, or he could wait years shopping around some ideas for a primetime pilot, or accept a lesser paying job working on a primetime show as a staff writer if he happened to be chose by that team. I can't resent or be surprised at these people wanting the job even if it's not likely to last. And that's a CRIME! Elliott rocked that material and IMO could act circles around Erika Slezak. Yes I'm a Sondheim geek but it always kinda bowls me over how little Pat Elliott is given to do when she's Broadway royalty, remembered for one of the best reviewed and most awarded 1970s musical theatre roles *ever* in A Little Night Music. Of course a lot of major Broadway stars have had nothing more than cameos on soaps, so I guess it doesn't mean much. He did bring back Janet Zarish. I want her as Alexandria Quartermaine. I can't tell if you're joking or not... This was a big return? (as much as I love her...)
December 2, 201114 yr Member Wellyes but I'm not sure RC even remembered she played a character before when she first returned...
December 2, 201114 yr Member Because it guarnatees probably roughly a year's work anyway, and jobs that pay as much as even fairly cheap EP and HW positions are NOT easy to find. Ron Carlivati is a writer- For real! Asking why anyone would take this job is like asking why someone would want a million dollars (which I'm going to guess is in the neighborhood of their salary). Why on earth wouldn't they? I felt the same way about the actors who moved with AMC. They did it because they wanted to make their relatively high salary for another year. It's not like these high paying jobs in entertainment grow are a dime a dozen.
December 2, 201114 yr Member He did bring back Janet Zarish. I want her as Alexandria Quartermaine. Sorry, I don't see Janet or any of these NY seasoned actors moving west for a show that's probably going off the air.
December 2, 201114 yr Member David A. Gregory IN as back-from-the-dead A.J. Quartermaine! No way. Over the years the GH audience has all but been told that AJ was responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attacks. No way they would have their golden boy play such a "loser" character.
December 2, 201114 yr Member No way. Over the years the GH audience has all but been told that AJ was responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attacks. No way they would have their golden boy play such a "loser" character. The tragedy here of course being that he already DOES play a loser character and yet they fail to notice that.
December 2, 201114 yr Member I doubt there will be any major cast additions (unless the hypothetical OLTL transfers want to do recurring). I could be wrong, but the signs of this show's limited budget are showing. For instance, Sonny and Kate's Great NYC Adventure all taking place in their hotel suite? One day lasting forever? Long, drawn out Two-Person scenes... Monday's episode featuring only 10 characters?

December 3, 201114 yr Member James Franco Defends Deposed General Hospital Showrunner This guy needs to STFU. He knows nothing about soaps. His character has been poorly written from the start.
