Don't think so because wouldn't the announcement of her taking over be announced at the beginning of last month then? I doubt they kept it a secret for a month lol

Yeah, I'd think so. This doesn't sound like something that's been going on it. IMO, it sounds like she just agreed. But who knows. I don't expect to see her stuff til well after sweeps.

Especially since SL just started filming Erica's arc. IMO, that ain't LB's handwork. Or if it is, god help us....

Would you be surprised? look how ABC is ran. I'm gonna assume now the anonymous AMC writer FOXS News spoke to and started talking about working on a talk show hopefully, I'm guessing that was David Kreizman. It's too obvious now.

R S, you know how many times that woman has breathed life into this show?

Creatively, maybe, but not with ratings. Hopefully she can end that trend.

I wonder if anyone will be taking over Lorraine's old AHW job.

AMC will be 2 associates short now with Chris Dunn leaving and now LB being promoted. I wonder who they will expand the team with, if at all

Maybe they won't. Another way to save some $.

I feel like Tina Turner when she was married to Bobby, how many hits can this show survive from?

Do they film 3-4 weeks ahead still? That would have put them starting too/already filming sweeps. Which would put LB's work on air about June???

AMC's tape date is approximately 4 weeks before air date... as far as fly pages I've seen the past year go.

However, in HW regime changes prior, it's usually an 8 week lag between the installation of the new head writer and the credited air show. For instance, McTavish was named head writer in May 2003 and began airing in July 2003. Pratt was named HW in June 2008 and began airing in August 2008. LB was announced end-November 2009 and began airing February 2010 (since the show was already six weeks ahead due to LA move/Holiday hiatus).

He's always favored AMC, and the LA move and all the pomp and circumstance associated with "get to know THE NEW AMC!" was an ego trip for him. In the end it didn't help, but it doesn't matter, OLTL will probably still go under the wheels for it.

I'm not saying OLTL is really much good right now, it's not. It's pretty terrible most of the time. But it's not AMC, and it was never given a fraction of that consideration. Until the last couple years I thought only executives failed upwards, not actual programs.

+1.

Classic Broderick

Classic Erica. In over her head, too proud to ask for help so she lashes out at others... all the while exposing her insecurities, leaving her vulnerable.

Not this untouchable, no one ever DARES challenge her type of false diva. I say "false" because over the last ten years, she has done little to nothing to maintain any type of legendary status. She's been living off the 1990s Erica fumes for a decade.

Let me just remind everyone, MMT was touted as knowing the show's history, and what not...

We ended up with Janet killing Trevor and putting him a freezer.

Edmund's murder

Dixie eating the pancakes

The Unabortion

....

The history and being a good writer doesn't preclude someone from coming in f*cking up big time.
