Okay guys, I FINALLY counted up all of the categories and I'm going to give some tidbits to whet your appetites, and perhaps encourage some of you who haven't voted to do so. There are A LOT of close races, so every vote counts and can push your favorites over the edge.

Outstanding Drama Series- 4 soaps are pretty far ahead of the pack, with 1 that's probably clinched a spot. There are 2 soaps on the bubble, but it would take quite a few votes to push them in and push others out.

Outstanding Writing- The same 4 soaps are ahead of the pack, though I wouldn't say any have clinched. The same 2 soaps that are on the bubble in Drama Series are also on the bubble here, though they stand a greater chance of sneaking in with the right votes.

Outstanding Directing- This category is a horse race between all the soaps. There are 4 i the lead, but this is anyone's game.

Outstanding Lead Actor- There are 2 front runners that have likely clinched spots, one of which was a HUGE surprise to me. IMO, this is kind of a weak category this year. Obviously, everyone is sick of the Y&R guys because neither LeBlanc nor Bergman have gotten a single vote. There are 3 other guys in the top 5, but there are 3 others that are only 1 or 2 votes behind them, so any combination of those 8 actors could get in there. Of the 5 leaders, only 2 were nominees last year, oddly enough, the same 2 that were on our dream ballot last year.

Outstanding Lead Actress- WOW! Unlike last year, this could go a lot of different ways. There are 3 actresses that are far and away ahead of the pack. But the other 2 spots? COMPLETELY up in the air. The 2 actresses in there so far could very easily be taken out by 5 other actresses that are only 1-2 votes behind. The actress in 5th place is a complete surprise to me, someone I really didn't think would be on our ballot this year.

Outstanding Supporting Actor- Much like last year, this is the one category where there is no clear leader. As a matter of fact, there are 9 actors that are all neck & neck right now, so absolutely every vote counts. This is also the only major acting category where every single pre-nominee has received at least 1 vote, even Shawn Christian and Patrick Duffy. This is the category I'm MOST interested to see how it turns out.

Outstanding Supporting Actress- IMO, this is the strongest race of any category this year, bar none. There are 5 actresses that are ahead of the pack, but there are 2 others that are within 2 or 3 votes of breaking through. The 5 top vote getters aren't a huge surprise to me right now, but this one is certainly still open. This is one category that I'm curious as to who the #1 voted actress will be, and right now, it's tied.

Outstanding Younger Actor- Sucky category. 5 guys are clearly in the lead, and I don't see any of them getting ousted.

Outstanding Younger Actress- It saddens me what a strong category this used to be back in the day, but the past 2 years have been pretty fruitless. Surprisingly, it's made for an interesting Dream Ballot race though. There are 2 clear leaders, and then a 5-way race for the last 3 slots, with all those actresses within 1-2 votes of one another. For such a talent-lacking category, it's quite a race.

So there it is you guys! We have a little over 2 weeks left of voting, so I'm hoping we get some last minute takers. Believe me, the scales could be tipped in the majority of the acting categories.

I've received quite a few PMs the past couple days with ballots and some of the scales have tipped. Some categories, like Supporting and Lead Actor, are still a total horse race. So get your votes in and make them count!
