I actually can see some 80s soaps doing that tooth loss story. The radiation fallout that changes Henderson forever...

Has any soap ever done a story where a mother or father left a baby in the car? And it was stolen or died? I know it's a common cliche on primetime medical/legal shows...but has a soap done it?

Oh my God, I just got light headeded when he pulled all them wires out her gums. Reminded me of when I made the mistake of opening my eyes when they were pulling my wisdom teeth.

Loving under Doug Marland did the Garth/Lily incest story which ABC ordered to be halted as they were preparing the TV movie Something About Amelia and didn't want anything else on the newtwork to steal the limelight.

I think prostate cancer could make an interesting and informative storyline. Someone like Bo Brady,Bo Buchanan,Charlie Banks or Tad Martin would be good candidates for this story. It is widespread but hardly talked about. It could be good publicity for the soap involved.

Days has come close twice. Marie Horton had the hots for her coworker Mark before he was found to have amnesia and be her brother Tommy. Then Renee and Tony wanted to be a couple but stopped when they found out Renee was Stefano's child. Then they found out Tony wasn't Stefano's child. Then 10 years and a retcon later, Tony is Stefano's child. Unless you count that Tony as Andre based on a later retcon.

The way Kristen was written out of Days was she was sent to an island for white slavery

AMC did an incest story circa 1991 with the character of Ceara (Genie Francis). Other than that, I really can't recall the subject being brought up.

That is so eff'd up. The way you phrased that made me laugh inappropriately though. Shame. They included a clip of that s/l in the CBS 50 Years of Soaps special.
