Such a brilliant episode. So good, in fact, I'll forgive it the occasional clunky line of dialogue. (Soliloquies are hard to write without them sounding...melodramatic.)

What did you think of Lance? He's just a little too cheesy for me.

John McCook's Lance could be stodgy but he had an air of sophistication about him that made him believable as playboy.

Dennis Cole's Lance was Dirk Benedict meets Lee Majors.

I just realized how they made sure there was no mention of Chase in that Nina episode, other than the few flashbacks that had to include him.

I wish they'd kept him around to the end of the story and then given him an exit.

Both.

I knew Lucas pined for Lorie, but she and Leslie were both obsessed with drippy Lance. I just wondered if Lucas ever got to take the lid off the sisters cookie jar.

In the last Leslie & Lorie clip posted, Leslie hinted she was ready to dump him the minute the baby was born. She later hooked up with that Jonas character played by Jerry Lacy.

From what the Soapcentral writeup for Lucas says, he and Lorie got together for a while but when he proposed, she said no, because she knew she wasn't in love with him, she still wanted Lance.

I agree about Chase, I know this sounds harsh but it's pretty stupid that Bell got rid of him when he clearly seemed like he was gonna use him more throughout the story...on the episodes I uploaded they even try to make it seem like out of everyone Chase was to be David's ultimate foil since there were scenes every now and then of them trading barbs....

They should have kept Chase and hooked him up with Nina after she was found not guilty and David's death, but have John Silva still try to get with her too....I can't say enough how much was wasted on Nina with Ryan....

I guess that's one thing in Bill Bell history that we sadly can't change....

I want to like JLB in those scenes, and I think she's gorgeous and has tremendous star quality. But that ****ACTING**** is just rodonk, even accounting for Lorie's horror at her sister's betrayal.

Here it is: The Vanessa suicide scenes. The scenes from that day's episode, 20 minutes in total. One of many times Bill Bell stepped out of daytime and straight into horror. K.T. Stevens is UTTERLY AMAZING in this, she makes your blood run cold.
