I never thought I'd say that Jordana Brewster was a boring ass actress but the day has come. I loved her on ATWT. She totally sucks on Dallas and has no screen presence

If this show is going to survive they need to focus on her and bring back Morgan Brittany as someone mentioned before and focus on Bobby....ditch Ann and send her off with her daughter....I'd keep Judith Light though....also id be great if they brought Deborah Shelton full time and have her battle Sue Ellen ...maybe JR leaving Mandy something in his will where Mandy has to stay in town.....this show wont survive with the younger cast unless they totally focus on John Ross and Pamela.

I found myself really detached from this evening's episode as I knew the sadness coming. I listened to every minute, but was often looking at the computer. It was nice to see Gary back and I hope whatever Sue Ellen is doing isn't as blatantly obvious as it looks. Though JVA would probably be over the moon about a Val/Sue Ellen smack down.

I'm glad that Emma finally came around and I wonder what's in store for them because they seriously could have ended Harris and Judith with that scene if they really wanted to.

When Larry Hagman died they pushed back a lot of stuff. Ultimate Dallas has an interview with Audrey Landers which talks about her upcoming episode(s). Originally Gary AND Val were doing a three episode arc, now Val is only doing one episode. And Afton was supposed to come earlier in the season too. I imagine her role is probably going to be smaller as well.

Wow Ted Shakelford...the dyed hair just highlights how old he is, and the turkey neck is awful. I applaud his reluctance to have cosmetic surgery but he just looks so weathered compared to Patrick Duffy. It looks like JR had a plan go wrong and he knew who it was that came in by the look on his face. I just don't now how Dallas goes on from here but one thing I have to say is Judith Light is great in this role.

Regarding Victoria Principal. I swear these people on the "The Come Back to Dallas, Victoria Principal" facebook page came off the turn up truck.

The point I am trying to make is, that, people on this FB page are saying "Bobby is married to Ann...It wouldn't make sense for him to fall in love with Pam" I am like HELL-LOW! It's called a LOVE TRIANGLE (Granted I think Ann should just hand the keys over to Pam). Some even said "She died! How can she come back if she is dead?" I am like "You never heard of a Back from the Dead??"

Just Posted this on FB:

Wouldn't it be great if the last scene of this season will have Cliff going into his darkened office late at night while his chair is facing a view then suddenly the chair will turn around and all we see are feet walking towards cliff then the camera pans upward and it turns out to be Pam and she pulls out her hand and Slaps him then Say's "Cliff! How Could you! You are no better than JR!!"

    • The actor who plays Martin has been teasing that nobody has guessed Martin's secret. I love that for things like that and the June story we have no idea. I feel like if we didn't have the day ahead feeds Anita's reveal would've been shocking as well. I love that they aren't going the obvious route with these stories.
    • I tried following the news in Los Angeles at https://laist.com (independent public radio and news) They had up-to-the minute accurate info during the wildfires in January. There's no video, no impact to my mind as to what's happening. Trying other outlets, to get the truth, but it's hard.
    • That's a bit murky since that happened during a writers' strike. Assuming Kristen Marie had a 2-year contract she left about when her contract would have expired and Sharlene and Josie showed up right before that. Lemay was officially credited as HW from September 1988 but it seems very probable that his anticipated tenure influenced events that happened during the strike which started in April.
    • I've seen so many posters over the years who are bright, creative, well-versed in soap history, and who care deeply about the integrity of the genre. I'd put the shows' chances in their hands a lot faster than I would allow any of the "usual suspects" to take control of the dramas they've already helped decimate. When I returned to university in the 1980s, I created a bible for a new soap and presented it in my screenwriting class. It was in reaction to how badly I saw the network shows being butchered at the time. The creative process was thrilling; a total joy, and I still smile when I remember the positive feedback I received from the professor and my fellow students. I was used to seeing written commentary from professors on my work. This one wrote me a long, complimentary note on the final page of the bible, but also graded it 97%, A+. I was beaming ear to ear for days!

    • Thanks. I do wonder if Rose was meant to be more given the caliber of actress they hired. I remembered Sara and Peggy staying longer as they were still on when Soapnet started their repeats. I wonder if that was part of the reason they brought Jake's brother in.
    • Speculation about Missy Reeves' potential evolution on basic civil rights doesn’t change my opinion of her. My view is shaped entirely by her public social media presence—which I find unpalatable—and I have no interest in learning more beyond that. I simply liked Jennifer’s hair and dress. That’s as far as my admiration goes.

    • Cheryl was gone before Lemay came back but I agree with your thinking that he would rather a character from a family he introduced to the show than a family he did not originate.  I remember reading somewhere in the early 90's probably after DS left as writer, their was an either a writer or a producer who made a comment that their intent was bring the McKinnon family back to AW.  Would have made sense for the newer viewers from the 80's.  Much like Lemay's attempt to bring the Frames back from his writing in the 70's in his 1988 return
    • DePriest left in January 1988. According to the AWHP, Rose last appeared nearly a year before in February 1987 while both Sara and Peggy appeared as late as October 1987.
    • Annie was not brought in as an antagonist for Reva. Reva wasn’t even on the canvas when Annie first appeared in late 1994.
    • The speculation……….very entertaining.
