AMC: Actor OUT?

I assume it's a fake out, too. I did not watch VI on Y&R but I assume his character was not as important as David is to AMC. VI probably commuted a LOT less during his Y&R days. These days David is on practically every day and has a hand in several storylines. This "death" could be a way to let VI have time off to perhaps make a final decision or ease David out of the canvas completely.

considering this shows up on the main forum, any spoiler placed in a title is visble to all regardless of it its placed in the spoiler section or not. Thats why spoilerish titlees should be avoided when making threads here

No, I know what you mean, I have of course noticed that too. Maybe the SON Wizards could do a little web trickery and all new thread titles would show up as a nifty flashing **SPOILER** tag on the main page. Anyone entering that forum is entering at their own risk, and I agree that's it's unfair to the unspoiled to see leading thread titles on the main page.

Fakeout. Boring. Maybe Vince will head to Crunch Gym for a few months. Only the gut will be murdered, though as we know the gut is an integral part of David's character, much like Stuart was to Adam.

SOD reports that VI will "air past this week as David's ghost" and that he's already lined up his next gig: an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles.

That would kinda go in with the "puppeteer" thing, so who knows what's gonna happen. My first instinct was to say that losing David would be a big blow to the show right now, but I don't really know. I'm getting tired of the over-the-top anti-David feelings amongst like 3/4 of the characters.

He's obviously setting up Ryan for a murder charge and Greenlee as the one who tampered with Erica's plane. He's given himself a drug that makes it seem like he's dead. He'll be back!

There has been NO news on a outgoing character.

Yeah there has been no news, we would have heard if he was leaving for good like..at least a month ago. Also, why hasn't SOD put this news on their website like they usually do with breaking casting news like this??

Now is a really good time to start cultivating a new villain. I don't think VI's going anywhere (except maybe a hard-earned vacation) but if he did there would be a big hole in the canvas or I should say a bigger hole because IMO, the show is still suffering from the loss of Adam. A show needs more than one big bad. Between Ryan, Jesse, Tad, and maybe Caleb there's plenty of sanctimonious "heroes" on the show. Having them all focused on David is a farce.

AMC could use another bad guy, one in the 20-30 range who'll mix it up with the JR/Annie/Scott/Natalia/Frankie/Madison/Jake/Amanda strata. Maybe Jamal Cudahy or Terrance Frye as an R.J. Gannon type to offset Frankie as white knight or Tim Dillon, Enzo Santos, Bobby Warner, Jamie English (Yes I know there will be soras issues with all of these suggestions but as long as Amanda and Jake are a couple all bets are off. LOL!). Or maybe Myrtle Fargate took some lonely, abandoned child under her wing when she was working the carnival and that child's son comes to Pine Valley. Just make it someone who has good chemistry with Shannon Kane because whoever he is, he's for Natalia. She needs a bad boy. And a real storyline.

SOD has him listed in the comings and goings section of their mag........

I think they think they're being sly and that viewers are too stupid to realize what they're doing

From VI's Facebook page:

Hello everyone -- We can now confirm and tell you that Vincent is still in negotiations, as the end of his contract is up shortly. The show has added this plot twist, but as I expressed below, please continue to tune in and make your thoughts, wishes, and voices known. Like many of you, I feel there is much more of D...avid's story that needs to unfold and we would love to continue watching Vincent's amazing portrayal of the most complex character on the daytime canvas!

Vincent passed on at how touched he has been by the overwhelming support and outpouring of messages that he has received over the past few days from all of you. Vincent writes, "I can't say enough how appreciative I am of all the comments on websites and message boards that have been written in support of my work and my character. There would be no doubt to me whatsoever, if I do return to AMC, it will be in greater part because of this wonderful outpouring from all of you who love the show and David as much as I do. I am forever grateful to all of you...
