I disagree. Teresa MAKES this show. Love her or hate her, the show became successful (in large part) because of her.

Prostitution whore, Country Club, bankruptcy, Christening, etc.

I find Kathy interesting. She'd be better is she stayed away from Teresa.

S4 started shooting because Teresa's bankruptcy trial was to be featured. That's not happening, since the Giudices withdrew the bankruptcy filing.

Interesting about Caroline and how Bravo was upset that they didnt bring the drama. And showing private footage to the ladies on what each other is saying behind one another's back...WOW! Too bad both ladies gone now, because I would've liked to have seen the drama and wrath Tre unleashed on them in season 5 and also whether or not Kathy and Melissa would've formed an alliance with Caroline and Jacqui or would've formed an alliance with Tre. Now I'm curious to see which if any new housewives they bring into the fold?? Something tells me Kim D, Tre's new BFF might be one of them. Martha Byrne, who played Lily on As The World Turns recently took to twitter talking about all the RHONJ news and gossip, which leads me to wonder whether or not she is being courted or is interested in joining for season 5.

Wll, it's too bad. RHONJ was may favorite out of the entire RH franchise, precisely because these women felt more "real" to me. I loved Caroline, Dina, Jacqueline and Danielle. This season, however, has been a crashing disappointment and Sunday's epi was a sad illustration of that. Part of it is because Danielle and Dina are gone; part of it is that Jacqueline and Caroline have checked out in all but name. Part of it is this incessant focus on the Gorga-Giudices, all of whom are famewhores. Melissa "praying" to ThankYouJEEsus before she goes to plug that song she lipsynchs to? GMAFB. I'm not too interested in the antics of the Manzo Boys and Gorgeous Greg, either, but I guess they had to do something to fill the Jacqueline/Ashley-sized hole left in the season. I would like to see more of Caroline and her husband Albert who has the best bitchface of any straight man I have ever seen. I would also like to see more of Kathy, Rich and their kids, Kathy comes across so much better when she is interacting with people she truly loves.

Teresa's hatred and shenanigans are beyond stupid at this point. She is alienating everybody, hurting her children and God knows what is going on with Juicy Joe. I agree, WTGH, a little Kim G might also go a long way.

Either they are gonna end NJ or try and get a new cast and I think they'll do the latter although I wouldnt mind if they put it on the backburner and use this oppurtunity to try some new cities

I just saw the Punta Princess episode and Im so over Theresa as well. I dont hate her but she's Jill Zarin'ed herself this season.

Just by watching Tre and Melissa you can definitely tell that both are jealous of the other, Tre more so than Melissa I think. The ways they try and out do one another is well over the top. The whole Punta Princess crap was well crap. I like to be stylish and dress stylish at work (my co-workers can verify) but not to the extent Tre does. When Im at the beach its more of a swimsuit and ball cap or dressed like Melissa. I want to be comfortable and have fun. Who cares if everything matches!!! Tre is becoming obsessed with herself and maybe it is time for them to try some new blood or perhaps a new city.

I guess Andy Cohen is letting everybody know: don't bother showing up to the RH franchise unless you are ready to "make drama." The irony is that I think people tune in as much for the decent, "tentpole" housewives as much as for the bitch divas.

Speaking of bitch... Another day, another housewife for BH's Kyle to mean-girl. Does that woman like anybody apart from Taylor?

Kyle likes Lisa (so far anyway). I like Kyle. She doesn't take anyone's BS or empty flattery; she sees right through ya! Some people call her a sh!t-starter, but last season, that title went to Camille all the way!

Yeah, it's sad to see New Jersey fall apart, because I loved catching up on the first 2 seasons and it really got me fired up on it, but the past few months' episodes (holiday episodes up until now) have been a bunch of nothing; just endless bickering about the same thing, but not even a substantial fight. It's like they're fighting about nothing. We know that the *real* reason for the tension is the show itself, but they make it seem like it's some big family feud that began eons ago.

I definitely like the "tentpole" housewives; the ones who are more down-to-earth (Jacqueline) and who can see the big picture and give smart advice (Caroline). Caroline has always been my favorite (I love how she handled Kim G in season 2 and earlier this season), although the behind-the-scenes dirt that she doesn't actually approve of Albie's homosexuality is quite disappointing.

A few days ago, I tweeted to Andy Cohen: "I do believe we've reached the Moldavian Massacre in the Real Housewives phenomena... "

His response was: "I don't but that is a funny analogy"

I do think it's true though, this is where the decline begins...

    • With all the changes Sunny was one of the longest running characters by that time.  She had never been married and had heaps of story potential. I can see America getting with SFT -you know 'the circus soap'. Smart move because circuses were all the rage with the kids in the 80's. Maybe Stu and Jo could have bought the circus.
    • It is actually pathetic, that Victor’s 50 year old children are still written as scared of this man that has to sit in every scene. I get it, EB has been on the show for almost 50 years, but I don’t care. He’s a man in his 80’s and should not be the damn lead and driving force because you don’t want to upset Eric Braeden ‘s fragile ego that only exists because the writers have cowtowed to this man for so long.
    • PREACH Victor being written as he was 20 years ago to support EB's ego or some misguided belief that what worked decades ago is still relevant is destroying the show. Victor comes off as a rambling old fool holding on to vendettas and a desperate need for perceived power. His children still cow-towing to him makes them look equally foolish. If the writing portrayed Victor as  more of an irritant to them then maybe it would work.
    • They desperately need another meeting spot that isn’t Orphy Genes or the Country club. Y&R is awful now but there’s at least GCAC, Crimson Lights, Society, and the Jazz room at GCAC to meet at. 4 places is definitely better than 2 and I can’t imagine these rich folks literally only eat at their damn country club.
    • I support all of this. 80 year old Victor reading lines off the table or teleprompter until it’s time to yell at someone and still being the main man driving story on the show is absolutely ridiculous to me and one of the biggest issues with the show. I respect Braeden for wanting to keep working in his old age is great and all, but WHY IS HE THE LEAD?
    • I believe they said 27 sets. We have not seen that many maybe around 20. Perhaps they meant they have space for that number. I would like to see another meeting place -maybe a restaurant that could fit in b/w Orphy's and the Country Club. Casual but classy. Jacob/Naomi need a living room and it would be good if Vern/Anita had a smaller study/library so they're not always in the same room. I guess budget plays a part. For example, maybe the plan is for Jacob/Naomi to get a home down the track when they become more prominent. I really hope that outdoor sets come into use. A terrace at the Country Club or a few shopfronts-a park maybe. Speculation re June. I would go with a Hayley connection as she needs something else to do apart from whining to Bill. June could  provide some conflict cos I don't see Bill being that interested in having her around. He could try to buy her off, upsetting Hayley or she could overhear/uncover some dirt on Bill so he's forced to keep her around. The parents of Tyrell/Samantha can be held for down the track along with the mystery of Andre's parents. The advantage of a new show is that there is so much from character's pasts that can be used. An ex for Vernon or Anita and various relatives to come out of the woodwork.
    • Oh god I haven’t gotten to that episode yet, you have to be [!@#$%^&*].ing kidding me. I will say to my surprise, the Danny actor no longer bothers me. He has actually improved quite a bit.
    • I hear what you are saying, but I feel there is definitely an opportunity for improvement. If the set problem is to remain, then the whole focus has to change. Business has to take a back seat if there are no sets available to support story. As I have said before return to Jabot and have a number of characters working and interacting there. They seem super reluctant to do it but Victor needs to be a more supporting character.  Eric Braeden seems determined to carry on and that is of course admirable, but keeping Victor as this dominating force has been detrimental. Have a sweet reunion of Sharon and Nick and marry them off for good. Bring on Faith and I'd even have Adamson back as Noah at this point to support Nick/Sharon in a parenting role. They really need to bite the bullet and drop one of the following -Billy, Chelsea, Phyllis or make them recurring like Abby/Ashley with appearances or short term stories when appropriate. Free up some space for new or returning characters- Noah, Allie, Fen, Moses, even a recast Dylan.
    • Today was really boring. I get we needed to have Martin accepting Eva but man I needed some Leslie today. Anita being hung up on was intriguing though.
    • Yup, that's John Mahoney, a few months before the star-studded 1986 production of The House of Blue Leaves. Also, God bless TPTB for thinking that a circus storyline was gonna grab the hearts and attention of viewers.
