No idea why, but they’ll be live streaming episode two tomorrow as a preview. I still haven’t watched the premiere yet but I’m going to get on it now. I know the Potomac ladies always deliver! I hope the fans deliver good ratings to them.

LOL watching Dame Karen walk away from the fight clutching her handbag, like 'I can do no more here' was

Good opener episode. I, too, am stunned by the sudden 'friendship' between Candiace and Gizelle. Clearly both are out to get Monique. I imagine Candiace craves the money and lifestyle Monique has and hates playing second fiddle. It's also the reason she invited Charrisse to her party.

On Gizelle's side, Frosty has exhausted her alliance with Ashley (to go after Karen) so she has settled on hothead Candiace who is easier to manipulate. Gizelle lecturing Monique in the flash-forward at the beginning of the show -- you could tell she has been waiting YEARS to deliver that sermon and lord it over her rival.

Damn, when your kids don't want you getting back with your husband and call him a fake on camera! That's what this entire Gizelle-Jamal reboot seems like to me: FAKE. Either Ev-Uh-Ry Hue is making no money, or Jamal is cutting back on alimony -- those are the only two reasons I could see Giz getting back with her ex for real. That, or faking a relationship for SL purposes. It is actually quite sad because it doesn't seem as if Gizelle has ever been with a guy for love. Just for money/security.

Erika Liles should be on this show given how much Giz mentions her and her husband.

Juan ducking and diving over when he and Robyn are getting married! Never change, Juan.

I am wondering if Karen and Ray have already agreed to separate, if Karen is bringing those troubles to camera.

Terri: "This group can never be friends with someone that LIES ABOUT THEIR DUE DATE! That is not an AUTHENTIC PERSON!" etc etc.

Back to ATL -- that entire scene was glorious and I am literally giggling just thinking about it. Phaedra was totally committed to that dumb lie 1,000%. "Not if everything is fully formed and his lungs are functioning" -- girl, STOP. You are telling this to a table full of mothers! That was some pre-Trump post-truth [!@#$%^&*].

Phaedra tries to change the subject with "Y'all got to give me some advice because I don't know nothing about babies."

Nene: "You should keep him in until he's ready to come out."

I also remember Kim Zolciak speaking sense for the first time ever and saying "I was a nurse -- no doctor is going to induce at 6-7 months!"

This baby is adorable. Makes me want one

Candiace is so unlikeable. I dont like that Wendy is so close to her.

Why are people saying Candiace needs to apologize to Ashley? Why are they acting like Ashley is a victim? I dont like either one but Ashley gave as good as she got last year. They both antagonized each other and while Candiace comment when she was pregnant was low, I feel like there is a mutual apology that needs to be given on both sides

Wendy's face when Ashley said she has a tear in her anus

The green eyed monsters always stir up sh-t. Robyn would be more likeable if she didnt cosign everything Gizelle said

LOL at Monique curving Candiace. Id have done the same thing. That dinner table was to the space for it

Dang, Wendy shaded Karen with that sex comment. Karen didnt even give it  a response. I really hope they can course correct things before it goes left

YES to Candy telling Gizelle to STFU! Bitch deserved it!

Second episode was just good as the first.

Candiace and Monique as friends again is quite short lived.

I like how Potomac has brought back two of the original cast members in the last two years to sort of help enhance the drama. I still say justice for Katie.

    • If you ever make it to the Paley Center in NYC (fka Museum of TV and Radio), in their viewing room, you can watch Days 1/1/73 featuring Denise Alexander as Susan. It’s her last month on the show before switching to GH.
    • Overall I was impressed with this week and fall out from the revealation.  I am looking forward to seeing the Nicole/Dana showdown next week.  I do wonder if June is going to be tied to Hayley.
    • I thought Adam and Sara got married? Although I do not remember any mention of her when Adam returned for Blake's weddings. But MA certainly got the short end of the stick storywise, as Marland's obsession with therapy reared it's head.
    • Didn’t Meg Bennett return to SFT as a writer in the last few years. I always wondered if they tried to get her back as Liza.
    • Millette Alexander got the short end of the stick once they killed off Joe. The Justin thing was a non-starter. Then she was briefly married to Alan's corrupt lawyer and HE was killed off. She was paired briefly with Adam and that ended because she believed Holly over Roger about the rape. Definitely, Marland had zero interest in her except as the therapist for the many, many of his female characters who needed therapy. It's not odd she left the show. One of the rare 1978 episodes on YT shows Alan going to Cedars for a physical check-up. He ends up with Sarah as his doctor. In between making mysoginistic comments about women doctors, he also openly flirts with her. It's very obvious they were chem testing Sarah and Alan. It's a really good scene. Bernau is both obnoxious and charming and Millette is amazing, trying to be pleasant and profesional without rolling her eyes at him, but at the same time maybe a LITTLE bit attracted to him. An interesting what-might-have-been. So it appears the Dobsons were actively looking for someone to pair her with, they just never found the right one for a long-term story.
    • I'm happy to read whatever you provide, @Paul Raven.

    • First, let me say I love reading all of your takes and thoughts. They always provide a different point of view... a breath of fresh air... in this sometimes stuffy topic.

You've inspired me to add my 2 cents about this product placement debacle.  I absolutely HATE the way they are doing product placement in BTG. I really hope this doesn't catch on or evolve into more and more of these moments. It's incredibly off-putting to place them in a highly dramatic moment where we are still on the emotional journey with the character. What is next - Dani spraying the house while having a nervous breakdown? It makes me not want to buy the product they're selling. LOL. That's just me.
    • I always get the vibe that Martin/Smitty have an emotional abusive relationship set up... but I doubt the show will really go there with that element given that Martin is a Dupree (and we can't have the Duprees be portrayed in a negative light), and because it's a gay male relationship.   Even though abuse in the physical or emotional sense is a huge thing in a lot of gay and lesbian relationships. The Ashley/Naomi scene reads off to me for one reason....  Ashley was talking about the new scandal without any sort of mention and/or subtext.. considering she knew both Silk Press Sheila and Eva.  I'm not sure if the writers have forgotten, if Jen Jacobs isn't able to play subtext, or what.   It's just apparent the writers do not know how to write a young white millennial couple.. and perhaps they need to get a younger white script writer to be on staff... or let the actors play around with the lines to make them more natural/realistic.
