I’m a bit ambivalent towards Kenya, but she was the only ATL housewife who inspired any anticipation for next season for me. I suppose if she refused to film the good stuff, it’s all moot. But RHOA just doesn’t have any interesting dynamics at play for me anymore.

I’m going to try and unpack all this incoming Housewives news!

RHOBH - I’m happy they’re delaying the start of the season. Shows they’re serious about retooling the cast and also starting later gives them a chance to show us different parts of their lives. Switching the filming schedule worked wonders at New York. I’m hoping Denise Richards does get the gig and I’d love Eileen back.

RHOA - This show is like popcorn tv. It’s interesting in the moment but drags. I’ll miss Kenya and do think they’re doing her wrong, but it isn’t the end of the world. Hopefully the new housewives are good so we can move the story forward. I’m not excited by this show at all anymore. I need a good trailer to care.

RHONY - I’m heartbroken about Carole’s exit, but she had a nice, long run and this opens some space for Jill next season and maybe Kenya? Never would happen but I’ve been saying since last year they needed to move Kenya since her life is clearly in New York now. I hope that Carole lands back in news. She can write but I’d love to see her hosting a news program.

RHOC - I know y’all gonna say I’m crazy, but this season is just okay. I found last season more interesting. This is not bad but they aren’t blowing my mind. I wish Lydia had remained. The show is now lacking glamour now that Shannon and Kelly have downsized. The new wives don’t bring that element either and seem very old school RHOC. Tamra is always broke so literally the show is depending on Vicki as the only one giving us full on real housewife with money.

There were rumors years back that Andy Cohen and co tried to get Cat from RH of DC to do RHONY ...but that she was now back in Europe due to her girls going to school there.  Not sure if it was confirmed or not.

RHOC is doing the reboot after season 12's uneven season.  Vicki vs Kelly would be interesting because both of them are hotheads that act before they think.  It would be a relief from a redux of Vicki vs Tamra.. or the ages old feud of Shannon vs Tamra.  It will be interesting to see both Shannon/Tamra being friendly with both Kelly and Vicki.  Not sure how the newbies will fit in.. but it sounds like Shannon won't like either of them LOL

RHONY... the show needs total reboot... if Carole is leaving.. can Tinsley please go with?

RHOBH... they need to take their time before filming resumes.  Denise R would be interesting because she has the interesting home life and her dad was always so nice and calming (still loved when she had her dad appear on Millonaire matchmaker and he was interested in one of the choices unaware that she was into bondage, etc... and Denise was being protective of her dad.. it was cute)... but is she capable of doing the whole drama/fighting thing?

Well, People is late because the rest of us got confirmation already. lol.

Same. Watching that overdramatic scene was just...I was

For sure there is not much going on...but unlike how RHoBH was this past season, it all does feel like it's going to lead somewhere so I am good with once the regulars are getting to see if their truce is going to work, we are given the chance to get to know the newbies...both of whom I like so far. It reminds me how refreshing Season 9 was with Lizzie and Shannon.

I agree with you about Viki. I forgot she got into it with Kellu. So we have our first serious drama. Of course, I do think Viki should have given her a headsup...especially since this season is about mending fences and Kelly seems pretty popular now versus when she first became friends with Viki.

But isn't Andalay always fun?

THIS.

I am actually shocked. Are we sure B isn't behind it? Or Andy?

Well, since Marlo seems like she's in the running again...

NYC

She certainly is. Luann wasn't judging her. She gently said that maybe she shouldn't have another drink because she could see her turning. And Dorinda did turn. She got vicious in a split second. Just terrible to Luann who seemed genuinely hurt, verging on devastated.

Luann's plea deal went through so she's plead guilty to three misdemeanours (drunk and disorderly, trespass, and battery) and she's been sentenced to a year's probation, 50 hours of community service, has to attend AA twice a week and has to write a letter of apology to the police officer (which she already has).

Carole making an exit from RHNYC...bye Felicia. Her exit statement was condescending as ever. I won't miss her at all and if Bethenny is the one who ousted her - good. I've never liked her.

I cannot wait for next week's boat trip!

OC

It's starting off well but it's slow going. Vicki looked like a Batman villain in that wild fur outfit talking to Eddie and Tamra. Her apology with the bible verses was hilarious.

I think it's going to end up being Gina vs Tamra.

POTOMAC

LOVE it and still loving it. Karen remains hilarious and I loved her fight with Ashley. She shut her up something good.

    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
