Maitland is a pal of one of my best friends out in L.A. My friend says that she has a very bubbly personality, has a great relationship with her husband, and is very open about her "work".

I'm glad to hear that she's such a nice person. I wish she'd kept her old face.

Goldie Hawn isn't a soap star but there have been a lot of double takes about her at the Oscars too.

One Y&R actor who has not been mentioned in this thread is Eric Braeden. Does anyone suspect he's had anything done? I think he looks like a nearly 73 year old man who does not make regular visits to a plastic surgeon.

It's clear this week that Antony Geary had a bunch of work done during his latest absences from GH. I think he looks much better after the work done. Even his hair looks better.

I've been watching YR very heavy lately, and if Sharon Case has not had some work done on her face, I'd be shocked.

Sharon definitely looks Botoxed. I don't think she needed it but I guess a lot of those West Coast actresses feel pressure vs. Hollywood actresses who are doing the same thing. You know there's pressure when the likes of Goldie Hawn finally caved and got fillers.

I'm no expert but it doesn't look like Eric has had anything done to his face. He seems like a fitness stickler though. He strikes me as very disiplined with what he eats too. Eric has never really looked youthful though but if anything, he could have had an occasional peel or something but I don't sense anything drastic.

Question -- how would audiences react if actors just let themselves age naturally? I think the US audiences would make just as many snarky comments about wrinkles and sagging as they do about many procedures. Thank God for Judi Dench - there is one bright spot of sanity - but what if she were a Hollywood actress?

Heck no, his face looks like those relief maps of the rocky mountains they used to have in school.

Oh yeah, Braeden took some time off to have some work done (more than once I think).

I don't think anyone is saying that no one should ever get plastic surgery, but when you begin looking like a farm animal, we have a problem!

...Something is seriously going on with Maurice Benard (Sonny) GH. He is starting to resemble Odo from Star Trek Deep Space 9.

..Laura Wright's skin looks seriously sun damaged to me. Or maybe too many chemical peels.

....I don't know why but Kelly Monaco's skin ALWAYS looks hard and leathery. Pretty face, though.

My mom is three months younger than Joan Van Ark, and has gray hair and wrinkles. That said, my mom is 100% natural, has a short, tasteful hairstyle, knows which shades of makeup work for her and always finds the right clothes for her at Kohl's and the like. She can smile without tearing a rotator cuff. She's healthy and happy - comfortable in her own skin. It's just so sad that Hollyweird has these impossible standards that no one could live up to, yet the stars are willing to make plastic surgeons gazillionaires to find the fountain of "youth".

Sharon Case is definitely botoxed up. Her opening credit photos show it the most. Jane Elliot said once she wouldnt have that work done but I think she must have had some eye work done.

Poor Leslie Charleson..she's pretty bad.

Along with Jackie Zeman...it's hard to watch.

Don Diamont can barely move his face from restalyn and botox but I'll forgive him because he still looks sexy.

Peter Bergman seems to be taking a conservative approach to cosmetics. I think he probably has had some work done but it's not severe.

GH cast has gotten as bad as YR and DOOL. Mostly the women..but they all look terrible.

It's as if Dark Shadows became a reality show!!!
