I remember, I'm sure it has changed, but that other picture would have been a completely different level. I NEVER would have recognized that picture as VMG. Now, maybe she looks like she's had work done, but I would easily recognize her. I feel so bad for women in Hollywood. It seems like such a toxic environment for any sort of self esteem. Of course, then I feel like an idiot for feeling sorry for them considering that their lives are so much easier than the average person.

DaytimeFan, Marcil went through serious body esteem issues back in the day -- certainly when she joined GH. She was told by over-zealous producers that she needed to drop some weight, so she went on obsessive exercise regimes and limited her intake of food. She went through counselling for it because it was getting destructive after a while. I remember when I was younger she campaigned to raise awareness about anorexia/bulimia and issues linked with that -- one of the reasons I became a fan of hers as a teenager, actually! Apparently she didn't consider herself "the most beautiful girl in the world" when growing up, and it was only when she plucked her eyebrows and hit it big on GH that she felt both attractive and stressed about mainitaining that attractiveness. I hope she's put some of those demons behind her -- marrying a chef like CG, I thought, meant that she had somewhat reconciled with her food issues.

When she first returned to GH, she looked absolutely awful but by the end of her run it appeared most of the work had settled.

Fiona is 51, Kassie is 50. Kassie in particular seems to defy age, regardless of any work she may/may not have had done. Either way, both of them look great!

Kassie DePaiva is is just a genetic freak. She looks amazing, and 15 years younger than her age sometimes. She is 50 going on 40.

Neither look like they've had any work done. Kassie is obviously someone who takes care of themselves, probably a non-smoker who stays out of the sun for the most part.

I think KDP looks great but I also think that she has yet to find "thee" haircut. I think she needs something funky, razory, and asymmetrical.

Fiona Hutchison has definitely had her upper and lower eyelids done. Even in the very early 90s she was showing major issues. Otherwise, she looks pretty natural, a bit of Botox and some fillers I'm sure.

It's funny, because in her first interview in SOD in 1987 (when she was on GL), there's this whole thing about her being slightly overweight, and how her two older brothers would tease her about it (she also looks a bit chubby when she was a contestant on the game show Body Language circa 84-85--her celebrity partner was future OLTL costar Catherine Hickland!) Talk about getting better with age--with a vengeance!

I think you can see a difference in age just by watching those late-night OLTL reruns on Soapnet from 2005(?) where you can still see her youthful image in her face. By now, she's definitely gotten older in the face. Still looks fabulous, but I just notice the 6 year difference. Her skin also seems to have a redness to it now, like rosacea.
