I am still enjoying the show a lot. Just one thing I will carry over is that I was shocked that James asked Phillip to kill Alan! I don't think Phillip is serious about going through with it, but it shows a lot about James. He seemed totally serious. It is possible he will go running to the cliff to stop Phillip but I am not sure he will. I also think it is a nice touch that James is so messed up about Phillip supposedly favoring Lizzie more. The way the show has practically never shown a James because of budget issues becomes put to good use as indicating "favoritism." James is more of a Spaulding than I thought he would be. Beth should be very worried. And Daisy should go back to Rafe, what is it with her and bad boys? Still, very interesting ... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The only thing good about today's show was seeing Reva returning home. I loved how Jeffrey and Reva shared a long kiss - That shows you how much they miss each other. Members Mitch Posted May 5, 2009 Members Share Posted May 5, 2009 Okay, I only watched on Monday, but what is Remy and Christina doing down there? And Ashley and DimDaisy? Could the Christina actress be any more chirpy annoying (she is of the I am so perky school of acting as Marina.) Does anyone actaully care about Remy and C? The Phillip/James scene needed to be longer and more dramatic. Good stuff was said but it too five minutes and James convo with Daisy took longer. Why do they have Alan acting like Mr. Wilson to Daisy's Dennis the Menance. The Alan of old would have gone along acting as if all was right with the world all the while plotting both Daisy and Philips downfall. The problem with RR's Alan, both the writing and the performance is that it would take a blind, deaf and dumb person not to see him coming a mile away. Alan should be quiet, dignified and lethal, not this bombastic guy who looks like his hemoroids are killing him! If GL is to go on to a new venue, they NEED to either kill Alan off or have him pay in jail, or in the Spaulding way, to have him sent in exile! One of the things holding this show back is that there is no movement, we ares stuck in standstill....Alan continues on with his stupid plans, Alex, Phillip or Beth never step up to him in any meaninful way...it the same old same old! Yea, Cosgrove is pretty without being plastic soap opera pretty. I like that he is not a steroid, shaved gay porn model looking ..as matter of fact, he was kinda flabby in that scene and for some reason, that made him more cute (kinda like he actaully has been running an international conglomerate and not constantly working out ..even though granted, we do never see he or Lizzie actually work, ..Remy can take his shirt off from now until September and he aint going to be more interesting.) I hated the whole drunken wedding thing and their not knowing what to do about their marriage. I didn't see the need for the contrivance. It might have been really nice to see a nice, normal couple start out by going on dates and falling in love. And if I never and I mean, NEVER, see Ashlee or Daisy again it'll be way too soon. Ugh. Sadly, lame couples are what the writers seem to care about, not character development or family dynamics. Phillip & James needed at least a four or five scenes for their discussion, like the Phillip & Lizzie confrontation when Phillip first returned. That was fantastic. ICAM! Everything about this Alan is wrong, wrong, wrong. His behavior, his tone, his way of doing things. He needs to go. I'd rather have no Alan than an Alan who's both psychotic and ridiculous at the same time. ITA again. It has to stop. The time has come for Alex and Phillip to end this madness now. If Alan doesn't go away, every story involving this family will be stuck going around in this circle forever. Cosgrove isn't soap pretty but he's way too "cute" for me. It is nice to know that both of us would be happy...me and that cute little Bill with the glint in his eye and you and Cyrus with the glint in his eyes.....though I get dibs on the Bauer Cabin cause there is no way I am doing anything in that sleazy little hotel room that everyone has schtumped in or the Peapack Shed!!!! I agree those are great, (they must be stock backdrops but can we just use them constantly cause it looks more homey, comforting and Springfield like then the Peapack Wheeler uses. Members AllAboutAngst Posted May 6, 2009 Members Share Posted May 6, 2009 Yesterday and Today I need a break from the Coopers, I was so incredibly annoyed with their "breakfast" yesterday and Frank going on and on about those damn cookies. Do Frank and Buzz live with Mallet and Marina? They seem like they are there all the time. GT was great in that last scene where Dinah was reading the DNA test results. While the slow build for Otalia has been great, now I feel like they're sort of treading water. It's a little silly that there hasn't been a mutual kiss or any real intimacy yet. That little girl who plays Emma is so adorable and such a good little actress. Josh and Reva really just need to get back together, their scenes at the hospital yesterday were full of chem. The whole storyline seems like a big seinfeld episode--all about nothing. I really want Josh and Reva back together--I didn't realize how much till those scenes. It's reminiscent of Alan-Michael/Phillip, and who can blame the guy? He seriously believes that he was conceived for the sole purpose of saving Lizzie's life. GL isn't going the Reeks route on AMC. The Otalia story will be about more than just showing a same sex couple can be seen kissing and having a sex scene. To me it seems to dance around everything in fuzzy terms--and now rehearse what you are going to say to other people--even though nothing still has gone on. I'm not comparing to other shows, I'm just going off what I see on screen. Treading water seems to be the perfect analogy for them, and it's getting tiring. When does JL take her leave? I'm home today and decided to turn it on after reading this (because as frustrating as it is, it's better than GH, though it doesn't say much) and I can totally see it.
