Members DRW50
I had forgotten about that. I think Periello probably should have stayed out of politics after he lost the last time. The main thing I imagine will be the result of this is a lot of articles about how the left is demoralized and will stay home. I'm expecting the same after the GA results either way as I'm already seeing such talk about how Ossoff is so conservative.
Members Fevuh
I'm in Northern VA, voted Northam but I had to force myself to go honestly because I know I'll be looking for the "D" on the ballot when the election comes no matter who wins the primary. The ads here have been interesting with the Republican candidate running weird pro-Trump messaging. I laughed when I heard it. And then said he was the only one who could "beat the Democrats".
Members Roman
this is just a sorry spectacle. just ignorance. how can a man LIE like this and not bust out laughing?
Members Fevuh
I just have zero faith now - I will be stunned if anything comes out of it.
Members marceline
It sounds like Georgia's ground game is off the hook. People are putting signs on their front door that say "Don't knock. I already voted." I think the race will be a squeaker. I wish the race in SC5 was getting more attention. Archie Parnell is the type of candidate I like. He's a wonk. He proudly says that he could talk about the tax code for hours. At a time when candidates seem to live and die by three-word slogans, I like a candidate not afraid to tout their knowledge.
Members Roman
It will. just one more knot in the noose that will hang this POTUS.
Members GMac
I hope so, but this hearing isn't going to be the catalyst for anything. It's redundant and tiresome. Both sides will claim "victory".
Members DRW50
Most people are going to shrug and move on once they realize nothing OTT is going to happen in this story. America will continue to slowly grind to a halt, and the best we can hope is that a Democrats with superhuman abilities is elected POTUS in 2020, as he or she will be facing a hard right and Republican-dominated Congress and judiciary, a media that would do anything to help Republicans, and a public that by and large would not notice anything beyond the latest headline about Katy Perry. Members DramatistDreamer
Per usual, Kamala Harris is the only Senator to be interrupted. Please register in order to view this content I told someone earlier today that I didn't expect anything of merit to come out of Session's hearing because he is patently dishonest and has shown previously that he has no problem perjuring himself under oath. He looked grossly incompetent to say the least.
Members marceline
Nothing was going to come out of this hearing except more Sessions perjury. But this mess with executive privilege is going to bite him with Mueller.
Members MissLlanviewPA
It's...not a perfect comparison. For one, Tom has quite a few people supporting him who supported Hillary, who are IN NO WAY Bernie Bros (both people who specifically worked for her and people in VA that I know personally). But honestly, I'm Team Switzerland here. I'm happy with either one. Edited June 13, 2017 by MissLlanviewPA
Members NothinButAttitude
All I have to say after these hearing is that Kamala Harris is a saint. This is the second time they've done this to her. Had that been me, I would've read the entire committee for filth!
Members Ponds
I like her too. She's the new kid on the block and is showing she has what it takes to be with the boys.
Members DRW50
Iraqi Christians in Michigan are being deported, likely to death or worse. Remember how we went on and on and on and on and on some more about how we were doing this all for the persecuted Christians in the Middle East? Not that any of the people mongering these wars ever actually meant that. Some of them were arrested on their way to church. Some of them only know English. Notice that you aren't hearing any Republican or any "family" group saying a thing about this. Gosh I wonder why that is? http://www.politico.com/story/2017/06/13/trump-deport-iraqi-christians-239511 Edited June 13, 2017 by DRW50
Members Fevuh
I voted. But YEP. BIG YEP! I am done. I will look for the rest of my life for a "D" on the ballot. Not that I didn't before, but there were rare occasions in my town where I voted Republican. That will no longer happen. I was young, gay and stupid when I did that. They are the ones who busy themselves with driving issues between people. Roe Vs. Wade shouldn't even be a DISCUSSION. IT'S LAWFUL. They constantly insert themselves into other people's lives when it's convenient for them. I'm so TIRED OF IT. By the way - Baron wears a T-Shirt that says "Expert" on it. LOLLLLLL. It sells out. Expert of what? Being rich and entitled? Ivanka on Fox says - being in DC has been enlightening, she never knew people were viscious. *ITCH SERIOUSLY? You didn't listen to your own FATHER tell people to "THROW HER IN JAIL?" DID YOU NOT KNOW DC IS A LIBERAL TOWN? BORDERS ON MARYLAND AND NORTHERN VIRGINIA? YOU DIDN'T KNOW THINGS MIGHT NOT BE REALLY SHELTERED FOR YOU???? GOD they are STUPID. Edited June 13, 2017 by Fevuh
