Beverly Hills, 90210 Discussion Thread

This long-running drama dealt with the experiences of a group of
young people in Beverly Hills, CA as they navigated high school,
college and ultimately the real world. The series focused on their
travails as they tried to maintain their friendship while dealing with romances,
family and personal crises, tragedies and countless drug addictions.

I stopped caring after Brenda left. I thought the first year of college was the show at its peak as that was the best season for me and after, it just wasnt the same. Her absense left an obvious hole

I watched the show through recently and have to agree with Cheap. Perhaps it's because I saw the high school stuff as a kid and have a very vague nostalgic connection to the characters but as soon as Brenda left, the show seemed to fall apart. The relationships were all so arbitrary, the guest characters were dull and it seemed a bit muddled.

I quite liked the beginning of Season 8 when a new headwriter took over and freshened things up a little but apart from that I was Brenda era all the way.

After Shannen left, the show just wasn't the same for me. Then Tiffani Amber Thiesen(Valerie) and Jason Preistly(Brandon) left and I had no other reason to watch. The show was at its best for me during seasons 3 and 4. This was the time Charles Rosin( producer from seasons 1-5) really began to run the show without interference from Aaron Spelling and Darren Star(who were off creating Melrose Place). Other than Dylan and Brenda breaking up and Dylan getting with Kelly(which Luke Perry asked Charles to do it), I just loved those seasons.

I loved Beverly Hills 90210, but I'll watch it on SoapNet and kind of laugh because it was kind of cheesy. Especially with the Walsh parents and The Peachpit. My favorite character was Donna Martin.

The only thing I miss about this show are Brandon's eyebrows. And not even that much!

The final artwork for season fives DVD set has been released, I'm still not sure if I'll get it or not.

I have all four as well. I got season 4 last week.

Quick question, why the heck did they interview that chick who played Jo(Steve's friend from NY) when she only appeared in two episodes? I thought that was pretty dumb. And have you gotten finished with all the episodes yet? I'm on the last disk.

I have no idea...LOL. I am barely on disk 1...LOL. I have a ways to go.

Oh well your in for a treat, the special features are great. They've got interviews with Charles Rosin, The Chick who played Donna's mom, and Carol Potter(Cindy). I won't talk about some of the other special features cause then I'd be spoiling the season for you. Oh and "A Pig Is A Boy Is A Dog", and "Time Has Come Today" are must see episodes. And "Take Back The Night".
