When she was first cast, I wondered how she was so accomplished in her line of work. She looks fresh out of high school. I felt she was out of place with Jack, but I thought her chemistry with Neil was right on time. Go figure. I hope the recast isn't a bust.

I liked her in the role. Marissa had that accomplished, snotty 'I'm better than this crazy woman Dru' persona down.

The actress who played Valerie on PSSNS could step into the role. She seems more like a scrapper.

But why is Carmen still doing Jack if Neil gets her ovaries floating these days?

But Lindsay Hartley looks even younger than Marissa Ramirez! I think Lindsay should stay as Theresa in Passions! No one can play Theresa as well as Lindsay! Lindsay IS Theresa!

I like Marisa Ramierz in the role, but when it was first mentioned that Carmen was going to mix it up with Jack and Neil; I felt it was a bit mistake to begin with because she looked too young for both. So, boo on them for that and not intergrating her enough like they were doing in the beginning. I would have liked for her to mix it up with JT, since I find him a bit boring with Colleen...

I want the actress who played Taylor on AMC or they can scrap the character and bring back YoYo.

What a dead end character. Not even a recast would make Carmen tolerable.

I've always felt that Marisa Ramirez and Tyler Christopher would have had *GREAT* chemistry with each other, had they allowed her to do double duty. But JFP can't handle a front-burner interracial pairing on her show.

Anyhoo, I wish they would reconsider.

I'm confused. Didn't they know when they hired her that Marissa that she was almost 25 years younger than Jack and Neil or did they think the audience wouldn't notice? It was ridiculous to have her hook up with them in the first place. I wish they had cast her as a young exec and put her in with JT and Kevin.

Not to say characters have to be the same age to hook up, but 25 years is stretching it. Not sure the female audience wants to see Neil torn between Dru and a woman who could be Neil and Dru's daughter.

I'm sorry but MR was a HUGE mis-cast. Stupid that it took TPTB THIS long to figure that out. The writing wasn't there for the character, but even if it was I didn't see MR have the talent to step it up, especially alongside Victoria Rowell. We need a MUCH stronger actress, may I suggest Debbi Morgan. I wonder if she'd be up for it, that would be a sweeeeeeeet.

Couldnt they tell when they cast her that she was too young for Jack? Seriously. Why does she even have to be in Jack's sphere. That was a flop and didnt work. I think she is fine agewise for Neil. She doesnt look too young there

As for a recast, if they want older, why not Florencia Lozano who played Tea on OLTL,Chrstina Chambers who was Maria on SuBe, or Ion Overman, ex Gabby from PC.

Nah. She's too big an age jump from Marisa. I'm guessing they want to make the character a mid-range age (say 35) to better fit in with both Neil and Jack and as an adversary for Dru. Plus, Debbi's not a Latina. I'm not good with naming someone else for the role because I don't watch anything outside of CBS anymore. If they decide to keep the Carmen character, I just hope they recast with someone who can play the part well. I am just not feeling Lil Miss Dry Ass Puffy Lips. I always want to whip out some lip balm when she has airtime. I don't know why they always use matte lipstick on her. It disturbs me.
