  1. Yes, part of her deal with CBS that she worked out in 1989, which also involved the 'bookend' episodes, involved TV Movies. She did The Shell Seekers, Mrs. 'Arris Goes to Paris, and Mrs. Santa Claus, all for CBS, under that pact. She also did other work during MSW's run. She did the TV Movie The Love She Sought for NBC, the miniseries Rage of Angels: The Story Continues, also for NBC, and Beauty and the Beast for Disney.
  2. Agreed! We have never wavered. When you know, you know.
  3. BH Kyle is a lying liar who lies. And she's been caught. And she knows she's been exposed as in the wrong. And she's being held to account. And she knows nothing she's saying makes sense. Of course she throws a tantrum. I've always seen Kyle for what she is and this season proves me unequivocally right. Loving Boz so much and loving Boz enjoying Dorit. Even Garcelle, who has had legitimate gripes with Dorit in the past, is seeing Dorit in a new light. Erika is having a great season doing the balancing act between Dorit and Kyle and staying diplomatic. Jennifer Tilly made me laugh when she spoke candidly to the masseur. Beyond her Simpsons fortune, she is self aware and hilarious. Sutton was so awkward with Dorit but I like her calling out Kyle's hypocrisy.
  4. The headline made me laugh. I wish Natalie Morales and Jerry O'Connell well.
  5. Did anyone else find that in the clips used in the CBS Sunday Morning story that the lighting on BTG appears really bright and makes the sets look cheap (when it's clear they've spent money on them)? It may just be the way the clips were processed into the story but the lighting seems brighter than DAYS?
  6. DAYS used to air on Global, but it now airs on an affiliated cable channel, the W Network. This happened once DAYS left NBC and went to Peacock because it meant Global could no longer take advantage of simultaneous substitution rules (this is when a show airs on a US network at the same time as a Canadian network, the Canadian broadcast goes out on both channels). Y&R has always aired, in Canada, in the very late afternoon (usually 4pm or 4:30pm as a lead in for the early news), the ratings being so superior in that timeslot. The Talk currently airs on Global and given BTG is launching midseason, I expect it will air on Global in its place, at least until September when the new television season starts.
  7. Totally respect your position on this. Karen has made an ass of herself throughout all of this.
  8. You are right. However, their circumstances at the time of filming are different. Shannon could take accountability because filming resumed after she had already cut her deal with the prosecutor. Karen, on the other hand, is still in active proceedings and awaiting sentencing, so she cannot admit wrongdoing. To do so would go against every piece of legal advice she received. There is no question that Karen does need to take accountability and admit her mistakes. If she does, the audience will forgive her. If she remains deflecting, even after being found guilty, the tide will turn against her. But then again, there are still those who defend Teresa Giudice, and she remains a totally unrepentant convicted felon.
  9. First Alan, then Bobbie, and now Monica. For me, they were the big three GH characters. And now they are all gone to history. Rest in peace, Leslie. May her memory be a blessing.
  10. I agree. I don't see any real difference between Karen and Shannon other than the timing of their trips to rehab. Shannon is still drinking, still claims she doesn't have an alcohol problem. Karen, on the other hand, stayed pretty sober throughout this season.
  11. Karen entering rehab and swerving the reunion is a wise strategy. Luann employed the same strategy and it worked out beautifully for her.
  12. POTOMAC Mia has to be fired. The way she's behaving about Gordon, their children, and Ink, is insane. BH Another great episode. Something has happened to Kyle's lower face. Her lips are looking weird. Love an appearance from Martyn Lawrence Bullard in Erika's hacienda. He is this glamorous confection and is a genuinely nice guy.
  13. I don't believe he's doing that at all. He's looking for money and wants a settlement and thinks that dragging ABC back to court is going to get him that if he makes himself enough of a nuisance.
  14. So is Sheila just being benched? No storyline? It’s so strange to me how the canvas has characters with potential, and the sets are still decent, the lighting is still good…B&B is theoretically an easy fix…but it is really stuck.
  15. That Newman Ranch set is decorated so spectacularly for Christmas. EB and MTS seem genuinely thrilled to be on that set.
  16. I've enjoyed much of what I've seen for Doug's death and Christmastime. I also semi-enjoyed the Titan storyline, though I don't love John Paul Lavoisier's choice to play Philip like he's Jim Carrey in Liar, Liar. He has a lot of tics and flails about...no child of Kate Roberts and Victor Kiriakis would do that...he has decent chemistry with Lauren Koslow but that's because of her, she could have chemistry with a potato. I think they clumsily wrote out Louise Sorel...it's like they didn't contract her long enough, she needed a couple of more episodes for it to make sense. The Leo stuff is nauseous. The Brady/Kristen stuff is not compelling to me at all. I agree that Kristen is played out. However, whenever they address Drake's passing, I do hope Eileen Davidson will return as Kristen and Stacy can play Susan for the memorial. It must have been excruciating writing around Drake's illness. Deidre looks so sad playing those scenes. I did enjoy the mention of Sami being jealous about Marlena switching calls to speak to Carrie. Nice touch. Still really enjoy Jackee's role on the show, and it appears she has hit the Ozempic because she's looking great and way healthier. The present Paulina gave Abe was a nice nod to Bill Bell, Harding Lemay, and Agnes Nixon. Very meta for one of the books to be about DAYS...
  17. A few thoughts as I dip into B&B this Christmastime... 1. Does anyone else find Hope (both the character and the actress) intolerable? 2. The stalking of Elektra is incredibly cheesy and dumb. I almost think Brad knows this is a total dud, which is why he's rushing this crap on (and hopefully off) screen. 3. Brooke needs a new man. This Ridge/Taylor triangle feels like the grossest microwaved leftovers and without any chemistry given KKL is the only original of the triangle left and Budig is implausible casting as Taylor. 4. Is Deacon now the B&B equivalent of Y&R's Gina? Hosting people at his restaurant?
  18. This just proves that AI is bullsh*t.
  19. That whole exchange with Camille was wild and Dorit owned it so totally and unapologetically - I have never seen Camille so lost for words. She totally had the wind knocked out of her. Dorit’s whole aura was as “Does anyone else want some?!” and not one of them did.
  20. I think it's the bad cold (I had a rough one two weeks ago) because I am loving BH this season. I can't get enough of Dorit and how she isn't letting her foot off the gas when it comes to exposing Kyle and all her manipulative bullsh*t. Yes, something is going around - I was sick as a dog with a nasty cold for 2 weeks. BH is excellent this season. SLC is also excellent. RHOP is also having a great season. As did OC. This is the year where a lot of franchises had a great comeback.
  21. In the statement I read he said that while they respected the jury's decision, they were reserving her right to appeal. I also read the prosecutors were seeking 60 days in jail and then Karen chose to go to trial. I'm surprised she couldn't get it together and plead guilty and cut a deal for 30 days or less. It's just plain foolishness or a lawyer who pumped her tires and gave her advice that fed into her ego.
  22. I think she was either poorly advised or ignored good advice. Those videos are plain and obvious that she was totally wasted. There was no way she was going to win in Court. If a picture speaks a thousand words, a video screams a million words. She definitely should have cut a deal and plead guilty. Apparently the jury took a long time and was deadlocked and had to seek direction from the judge. Karen needs to accept this and be contrite.
  23. It's so typically Hollywood: mine old IP, who needs original ideas? This will not be good for Jamie Lee Curtis, who I like and enjoy in basically everything she does. This is not good casting and this remake is ill advised. The part is Dame Angela's - her fingerprints are all over Jessica Fletcher's DNA. Cabot Cove will never be recreated.
  24. One of the best secrets never revealed. John loved Ashley so purely and totally that it’s hard to know whether it would have even mattered to him that His Beauty wasn’t biologically related to him.
  25. John Abbott and John Silva - ironically, Jill Abbott's divorce lawyer (and occasional lover!).
