  1. Early on they had Roman and Kate get stuck in an elevator together. Lots of those classic love/hate tropes over the years, culminating in them getting married (and Roman "dying"). Sheila would have been the natural choice when she poisoned Stephanie and got her in the mental ward...but they were out of each other's orbits a bit at that time.
  2. Throughout the Sami vs. Kate feud, once Josh Taylor as aboard as Roman, the writers would throw in scenes where Roman and Kate would flirt. Dating back to when Kate framed Sami for Franco's shooting, Roman was flirting with Kate while trying to figure out who really killed Franco. It's one of those odd through lines that the million HW regimes never totally dropped. Kate forging a bond with Sami was an interesting endgame and the writing was good because it hearkened back to Kate's origin story of being a mother fleeing an abusive relationship...except this time, Kate made sure Sami got to keep her children when she fled EJ, unlike what had happened to her with Curtis Brown. It's a total credit to Alison Sweeney and Lauren Koslow that they imbued this feud with so many layers that Kate and Sami could be vicious enemies, but then ally themselves, and then go back to hating each other.
  3. Absolutely. For years he was an albatross to the show as Brad Bell tried to shoehorn his character into the canvas wherever he could and it never worked.
  4. I think your observation is so well put. That is probably exactly why she was dropped. Bravo could not contain it, it leaked instantly, and the fallout was more than they were prepared to deal with. I still think Kenya could return next season. The wording around all this has been time specific. I don't like Brit at all. But I also still don't like Kenya. RHOBH Kyle continues to be a sanctimonious victim. She makes me sick. Jennifer Tilly's jewelry is fabulous. She has real taste. She buys and wear important pieces very well. Otherwise...yawn. I am just hoping they don't bring back LVP as a hail Mary so that I can drop this franchise.
  5. Yes, both are renewed through the 2027-2028 season. I am happy for the show, for the crew, the cast, and even Brad Bell. Though I think the show has an incredible amount of room for improvement and needs to move on from tired recycled storylines, I watch it sporadically and enjoy it for what it is.
  6. Production was too busy enabling Kyle to bother with a decent backdrop. I agree, it was so ugly.
  7. And therein lies the problem. Bravo is actively rewarding people like Kyle and Erika who act horrendously. So Rinna fits right in. I don't think it's any accident she's been making the podcast rounds lately talking about the show and how "the fans" ran her off of it.
  8. I always enjoyed the fact she was a close friend of Joan Rivers and gave a eulogy at her funeral. I believe she is one of the good guys. I wish her so well.
  9. I agree with you that Erika was the worst and the nastiest. The reason Kyle bothers me the most, however, is because she's the biggest hypocrite. She throws the rock and then hides her hand. That crap she pulled with Garcelle about the lesbian comment at Chuck E Cheese really irked me because it shows she's always looking for a way to be a victim. Erika is at least obvious about it, though she fails to realize she spent an entire season decorating a rental home. Dorit at least was engaging with Garcelle about specific comments. Garcelle knew what was coming the moment she sat down and remarked that Kyle didn't look at her. This was a planned take down. I can't with Sutton. Garcelle was ride or die for her! How could she not stand up for her and conceal her comments about Kyle's 'chess move' - talk about spineless! That's how I feel. I'm out of BH. Haven't watched RHONY consistently since the OG's were axed. That leaves OC, Miami and Salt Lake. I fully expect Rinna will be back.
  10. I completely agree. It was a struggle to get through the hour as Garcelle started to get targeted. Kyle was, as is the norm, the worst, followed closely by Erika, and then Boz. Bizarrely, I felt Dorit was the least bad, though that's not saying much. Andy also sucks and enables Kyle.
  11. Britt is awful. How dare she make me sympathize with Kenya, who I have never enjoyed. I don't think production is stupid. Rather, I think production wants the audience to turn on Britt to the point that Kenya can return. I found the edit for Kenya very sympathetic this season and while next week's antics likely put production in a place where they didn't feel they could keep her, I am not seeing anything anti-Kenya from production. What happened to Dawn's face. It looks like a mask. Magali and Ampika look exactly like when they left.
  12. I will always be supportive of Noel Maxam because of his many years with Y&R. He knows what good soap opera is. Janet had to have endured a lot through a tumultuous time and I hope she has a fabulous retirement.
  13. I am at the same point. The BH cast, aside from Garcelle, has burned itself out and the audience is subjected to either incredible negativity or non-storylines (ie boring). I agree. I am not watching a season where Sutton gets attacked and Kyle/Erika/Dorit/Boz act like arseholes.
  14. Boz blew it. Erika was her usual awful, bitter, nasty self. But Boz joined in unabashedly - she threw her entire season in the trash with that WWHL appearance. I echo comments about next season - will we want to watch given how crap this one was? I’ve already cut the chord with nuRHONY - BH could definitely be next.
  15. [!@#$%^&*]. You said it: that finale was terrible. It has always been the right time to fire Kyle ‘Never Open Nor Honest’ Richard’s. But now more than ever. Ditto Erika ‘Decorated Rental’ Girardi and Dorit ‘Foreclosure’ Kemsley. While Sutton can be totally insufferable but her house being on N Beverly Glen Blvd does not diminish that she lives in swank Bel Air - her house is a street over from Elizabeth Taylor’s house.
  16. And now word is their New Jersey home is up for sale. Teresa deserves everything coming her way. The hubris this woman displays is appalling. Ugh. This truly sucks. Garcelle has been a breath of fresh air for this show and one of the bright spots. This has been a lackluster season for me. It started off well with Dorit's marriage imploding and her fight with Kyle...but once that settled, nothing happened. I feel Dorit is the one who gave the most in terms of storyline. Kyle is unwilling to tell the truth about her life and is supported by the rest of the cast in doing so. She otherwise is dull as dishwater and always has been. Erika's storyline was about wallpaper. Sutton reacted to everyone this season. Boz had a good introductory season. Jennifer and Kathy added sparkle and humour. But nothing else.
  17. NJ Teresa has been slapped with a $300,000 tax lien; Luis has been slapped with a $2,500,000 tax lien; Luis has taken out a $1,000,000 mortgage on their home; and Luis is being sued for $300,000 about an investment gone wrong.
  18. I watched the episode since Kate was in it and everyone had such positive comments on the scenes and I concur. They were great. The music cue, on the other hand, was the strangest choice for it and the volume of it was way too loud. I really liked the scene with Rafe and Johnny as well. You make a great observation about Galen Gering working well with the younger actors on the show. His 'kind dad' vibe kicks in. The EJ/Kate scenes were electric. So good to see Lauren Koslow with Kate having her strength and fire back. I think it goes: Lucas, Austin, Billie, Phillip, Rex, and Cassie. Lucas only gets first place because Kate raised him his whole life and covered up a murder for him, I think Kate *loves* Lucas the most. However, I think she *likes* Austin the most. He has basically never disappointed her and always done the right thing by her, and generally.
  19. You really should. They are 5/5 star franchises.
  20. Vancouver - the best single season (season 1) of any RH franchise. A perfect story arc. You all know I miss the hell out of Melbourne. For my money, the finest franchise to ever be. Give me Janet, Jackie, Chyka, Gina, Lydiot, and whoever else they wanted in the mix any day.
  21. Tamra doesn't have the guts to quit. Pretty decent numbers and I expect as the season goes on that they will grow.
  22. ATL I really enjoyed the first episode. The overall chemistry felt good and the new girls having connections to each other, and then connections to the existing cast, felt organic. I have always enjoyed Shamea and it turns out she's fabulously rich! And from good 'ol HVAC! Having never, ever, liked Kenya, I don't mind her being edited out at all.
  23. Big fan of Max Greenfield. Never good for a long running job to end, but hopefully this farewell season gives time for the actors to get their agents hustling up new gigs for them.
  24. +2 it was a very good season. They need to fire Mia and nobody wants to hear from Jacqueline again. I wonder if Karen will get released early for 'good behaviour' and if so, she may be able to join filming late.
