  1. That was the part that I thought looked inappropriate for the funeral. The top of the dress was fine, if a bit sexy, but it was how short it was that was like...wowza. Marie should have made a comment about it, being an ex-nun. Stephen Schnetzer was terrific. As he always is. It's hard to believe he's 76. He looks much younger. When they all sang 'Always' that was incredibly moving and beautifully done. But then... Leo is truly an albatross and the show is weaker for him being on the canvas. It's like RC sees the character as his wish fulfillment and he's living his fantasies through him...so great is his obsession and shoehorning the character into every single scene imaginable. I was shocked when he appeared with Stephen Schnetzer. That never should have happened.
  2. For the comment that Britani acts like she's living out her soap opera fantasies, like she's living like she's in a 90s episode of DAYS. I think she resembles/dresses like Krista Allen from that period.
  3. Bronwyn lost me a while ago but this episode sealed it. She was getting along with Britani and then moments later threw her under the bus and blew everything up. She will end this season with exactly 0 allies. She is playing this show like it's a game of Survivor. Britani amuses me and I think you're so on point about her living out her 90s DAYS fantasies. It helps she looks like Krista Allen. On the Watch What Crappens podcast, whenever they mention Meili, they do the Charlie Brown 'adults talking' sound...like she really isn't there.
  4. 77 is very young these days. To be diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's is such a tragedy. The Motion Picture and Television Hospital is a wonderful place and I know he would have been well cared for in his final years. God bless him and Lynn, whose in my thoughts. May his memory be a blessing.
  5. To clarify the difference between Shannon's situation and Karen's situation: When filming started on OC, Shannon's case was over and she had already accepted her plea deal. The case was closed. She could take accountability because there was no longer an active case against her. Karen is not in the same position, either during filming and presently today. Her case is not closed. She faces trial in December. Her lawyer will have advised her, very strictly, to not admit anything, especially on camera, because it can all be used against her at trial. Karen is simply following legal advice and she would be an absolute idiot to do otherwise.
  6. I watch intermittently - can anyone tell me if Louise Sorel’s last scenes were in the hospital?
  7. Very sad. 37 is way too young to go and especially by his own hand. I hope he's found peace.
  8. Totally agree - what a premiere. Firing on all cylinders. When I saw Dorit light up that cigarette while traversing the canyon all I could think was We. Are. So. Back.
  9. I agree - if it’s Dorit that does it, Godspeed to that.
  10. You're absolutely right. I think it's now a given that networks are looking at all dayparts and seeing where the bang for the buck is and daytime soaps offer a lot. Congrats to TPIR, Y&R, and B&B. None of those numbers are anything to sneeze at - they outperform a lot of primetime and virtually all of the 'hot' cable shows.
  11. RHOP If what she's claiming is true, then Mia has defeated the opioid epidemic and she must be immediately appointed Health and Human Services Secretary alongside RFK Jr. by the President-Elect. I believe she is so clearly exaggerating. Perhaps she didn't like how she felt on them, and stopped taking them after liking chiropractic. But to say she was addicted, had an overdose, and was magically able to get off the most addictive drugs on the planet without using rehab or methadone (or a like medication) is untrue and a total disservice to those who have been addicted to these medications. Karen clearly has a lot going on that we aren't seeing. I really wish she could be more open, but I realize with an open case that she cannot. Ashley and Wendy should both be canned. They have no storylines and I don't care about their awful mothers. Stacey and TJ. Whew lordy. She'll be back next year but I can't see how this relationship evolves. Jassi should be careful about insulting the short guys her friends are dating given her NFL stud has clearly been cheating on her...or she was the sidepiece who got upgraded...
  12. And yet I don’t think Ashley’s paternity damaged either Ashley or John Abbott. John loved her, he raised her, she was his “beauty” and Ashley adored her father.
  13. They have looked incredible. I have dipped back into the show to see these episode and Jess Walton's return. She has been typically excellent. Though I don't love the weakening of Jill, it is the most sensible route to give motivation for her to sell Chancellor to Victor. The Sharon story has interested me, though I wish Sharon Case didn't do all the Botox and fillers to her face - she literally cannot emote and her face is unnaturally rounded out. I noticed the lighting changes right away at Society - that set was overly brightly lit in the past. The Newman ranch set is beautiful. Proof that the show can deliver an attractive program and that they've been incredibly lazy and poorly lead for years.
  14. I never liked Teddi. I knew she was rotten to the core. I am validated by this news. What a terrible person. She should not be on TV ever again.
  15. I think you’re going to be right re AMC the LA Years.
  16. I have dipped back in to watch Vivian’s appearance and was pleasantly surprised to see Kate back to form and not in the Brady pub. Today’s episode where she gave Xander a dressing down about casting him as a dumb hunk was dripping with venom.
  17. Great post and points. I really enjoyed watching Stacey on with Countess Luann on WWHL. They clicked right away and had a blast on the show. Ashley Darby needs to go. She has no storyline at all and hasn't for years. She's been dragging out this divorce with Demon Darby for the last 3 seasons and she's apparently so stupid in managing her finances pre and post separation that she has to hustle hosting standup shows to support herself after letting Demon Darby sleep with her for years and years. Deadline is now reporting it, so it seems legit: https://deadline.com/2024/11/bravo-the-real-housewives-of-dubai-pause-1236170556/ I never managed to enjoy it and the ratings were in the toilet. I saw that shirt and the Kate Roberts GIF became instantly appropriate.
  18. SLC I enjoyed last night's episode but I have an observation about wealth on this franchise: Whitney and Justin remarked on how this trip is 'next level' and their conversation implied that these new friends of theirs (Bronwyn and Todd) are rich, and they want to stay in their good graces. Bronwyn remarked that she expected loyalty and that, at the very least, she's bought loyalty with this trip.
  19. It's incredible bang for the buck and why I think CBS greenlit Beyond The Gates - soaps produce an incredible amount of content on a comparably shoestring budget. Plus, when Hollywood went on strike, the soaps kept going because of the separate contract. I think if Peacock folded, the show has proven its value and would find a home elsewhere. That's the upside of streaming, you aren't locked into a timeslot and therefore not really locked into a 'channel'.
  20. I laughed when he said it. Morrow really means it.
  21. Absolutely. Whatever goodwill Mia had coming off the reunion has been blown entirely for me. She is gutter and the use of her child's paternity for a storyline is beyond gross.
  22. She looks great with her hair smooth like that and her dress and jewelry were very 90s Power Jill...great to see her back. Jess loves Ed Scott - she always thanked him by name when she won her Emmys. I remember that scene. It was one involving Jill and Ryan McNeil in her office. The camera was behind the sink in her office bar and swung into frame.
  23. Wonderful news for DAYS - I still enjoy the occasional episode when one of my favourites is onscreen. Very happy for the cast and crew.
  24. OC this season is excellent. As you say, not a single filler episode and the season flew by. Emily is really skilled at managing her relationships on the show. Katie has clearly gotten under Heather's skin and I love it. Heather is mean and I doubt anyone on the cast, hell, any waiter in Los Angeles, would disagree. I feel the same way for Sonja. May she have many happy, healthy years in her West Palm Beach abode. Perfect description. I just want to add that Ashley is trash for making the comment to K about her scar when she is indirectly responsible for it. Jassi has her number and is not afraid to tangle. Potomac IS so back. I am loving this season.
  25. So it looks like Tamra and Heather are doubling down on being the most unlikeable castmates on Bravo. It is stunning how awful they are. It also looks like Shannon is going to have her day of reckoning with Jesus Jugs and she will have Emily as backup to nuke her. Can't wait.
