  1. I'm happy to hear this because Sally should have been promoted to this position a decade ago, at least. She is the one of the few left who knew the real Y&R.
  2. This is about money. Specifically, Sinclair and Nexstar money. Sinclair has always been a conservative leaning company, but it's demands that Kimmel donate to Kirk's family and to Turning Point USA...yeah this is really about Sinclair wanting to purchase Tegna and they need FCC approval to do it. The FCC chair has made comments about Kimmel in the past. He knows he has no authority to oversee the television industry players like Kimmel, so he leaves it to the affiliates to exert pressure as Sinclair and Nexstar are doing currently. Americans better wake up that their first amendment rights are being eroded in the name of corporate greed and corruption at the highest levels.
  3. I cannot wait till you are caught up. Panthea's behaviour at the Buckingham Palace Garden Party is super cringe. Like I was rolling down my couch kind of cringe. Mill Hill...I know...as suburban as it gets. It's really strange how status obsessed she is when she has none of the trappings to justify it. If she was more down to earth she would be so much more likeable, but it's not in her, she's a born snob with none of the street cred to back it up. Juliet 'Back to Paddington' Angus, it turns out, is an ex-friend of Amanda. She self destructs in her first episode without Amanda breaking a sweat. It's a scene to behold because Amanda is so calm and blasé about the whole thing. Karen and Panthea's momentary truce is just that. Nessie has nothing to say of consequence. Aussie Juliet knows she's made the right decisions. You'll see her play paddle with Amanda and she's very easy breezy. Completely agree. I would have preferred an episode resetting and catching up where each of the ladies are currently at. I give Whitney credit too. It was very smart at her. As @Cheap21 said, it totally removes any ammunition the ladies had against her with respect to her business. I'd like to know more about how and why it flopped and which business it was exactly: the beauty company, the Ali Babba jewelry, or something else?
  4. Kate Linder making the Silver Circle...whew...never has missed a chance for self promotion.
  5. She was a good person. She taught music at a primary school hundreds of miles away from London in the city of Hull, in secret, for 13 years, going by the name Mrs. Kent - only the headmaster knew who she was. When she retired from active royal duties, she launched a charity, Future Talent, that is still going strong nearly 25 years later, which funds music education for children who cannot afford access to it. She loved all kinds of music, from classical to pop to Dido, to Eminem and Ice Cube. And of course, nobody who enjoys tennis will forget her kindness to players at Wimbledon:
  6. Soaps airing in the late afternoon has always made the most sense - captures the after school crowd and serves as a good lead in for local news. Y&R has had a 3pm or 4pm slot in Canada for decades.
  7. RH of London So far, this show is flawless. It will be interesting to see what Karen had up her sleeve talking about Panthea with all the other women at dinner (who universally slated her behind her back)...it may have been a cunning test on Karen's part to see how quickly people would turn on her. Nessie is fake. She just praises everyone and everything. This episode really highlighted that. Juliet 'Bad to Paddington!' Angus arrives next week to tangle with Amanda. I expect Amanda to annihilate her. Why Juliet is on this show when it's so excellent is puzzling. It's like the producers got cold feet and thought they needed to further spice it up. Next week we have Panthea attending a garden party at Buckingham Palace. Firstly, she's mistaken its prestige, thinking that Karen's private dinner with HRH The Princess Royal is inferior, when the Buckingham Palace Garden parties are attended by thousands of people who get maybe 10 seconds with one of the Members of the Royal Family attending. Panthea is very cringe.
  8. The Daytime Emmys have not been relevant in 25 years. Once Susan Lucci won in 1999, that was the beginning of the end. After about 2005 or so, they've been totally irrelevant. Nonetheless, I will watch the shitshow that it always is when streamed.
  9. I agree with you there.
  10. Shannon did not plead guilty. She plead 'no contest' in which she did not admit guilt, but did not fight the charges against her.
  11. I totally agree. I think the sentence was the right one and the judge in Karen's case saw the situation for what it was, an entitled woman who'd never been held accountable and surrounded by 'Yes People,' so he threw the book at her. He forced her into sobriety for at least the duration of her incarceration, so at the very least, Karen will have had time to get real with herself. Shannon Beador has never been accountable either and her drunken behaviour on RHOC continues unchecked. She seemed awfully nervous about that polygraph. RH of London Another banger of an episode. Panthea continues to be a miserable hag stuck in her late 2010s peak. She will regret coming for Karen. Nessie must be renting that house on a long lease, right? I can't wait for Caroline to stir things up with Juliet "Back to Paddington!" Angus and have lunch with Dorinda.
  12. I'm consistently cheering on Marysol and Alexia. Stephanie and that damn plane of hers is exhausting to endure. She is such a 'pick me' with short man syndrome. Plus, her hair looks like it's made of concrete. I can't help but be happy for Karen. She did more time than Shannon Beador, who literally drove into a house. I hope she's learned something. 6 months of forced sobriety, I can hope, has helped her.
  13. Nothing for Lauren Koslow...sigh. No wonder I didn't feel like tuning in.
  14. RHOP Agree with @Taoboi that Karen will appear in the midseason trailer - there are too many allusions to being behind bars for her not to. RHOM Stephanie is exhausting. I can't wait for the bankruptcy/lawsuit/divorce. RHOC It appears that Katie is a psychotic liar. She was proven a liar by Kiki Monique and then through the polygraph...the technician seemed disgusted with her capacity to lie. I can't blame the rest of the cast for icing her out.
  15. They keep filling the show up with high priced actors while failing to write for the ones they already have. Y&R is becoming The Love Boat - full of special guest stars.
  16. It always blows me away how thin the actors are in reality when they look a bit more 'normal' on the show. That damn camera really does add 10 lbs.
  17. That's how I feel. Her crimes have many real victims who will never recover from what she did to them. SLC has thrived without her. I think it would hurt the show a great deal if she returned.
  18. I wish Karen so well. I hope her time behind bars has humbled her and given her the time to get sober and confront the issues at the root of her drinking. I also hope Bravo has cameras up and ready in Potomac for her arrival home.
  19. A recast for Mackenzie would be inspired. She would pair up with Jason Thompson's Billy very well. And if she could work with Jess Walton for some Jill/Mac friction, it would be electric. But the show can't write/produce for its existing cast, so I won't hold my breath.
  20. I watched the first two episodes today and I was delighted with the show. It gives strong Melbourne energy and that's a major compliment. I've often found that the very top tier of the RH universe is the international editions, unburdened by Bravo. This show is no different in that regard. The production values were so good. They invested real money in making London shine and these women, for the most part, have the bucks to back it all up. The moment Karen Loderick-Peace mentioned, with total reverence, that Joan Collins lives around the block from her...it was love. I concur 100% with @Cat's assessment of the show and the cast. I certainly know Groom Place well and Caroline and Karen are definitely living in the best postcode in Great Britain. I think Caroline is softer than she appears on first glance, especially in the scene with her stepdaughter. Karen is fabulous and open minded. I think Panthea has the potential to be really grating, really quickly. The crack about her peaking in the 2000s rang very true. As well as the remark about her living in Mill Hill...while her quiet obsession with wanting to emulate where the Royal Family sent Princes William and Harry to boarding school (Eton) is so tacky. Her mother seemed like a nightmare. That she was bringing up an issue with Juliet M from 6 years, pre-Covid...yikes. Agreed about Juliet M and Nessie. Early days but both seem pleasant. Juliet A will be the tacky bull in a china shop that she always is. But I think Caroline will destroy her without breaking a sweat.
  21. Gotta love that corporate synergy - I'll hand it to CBS that they rarely miss an opportunity to cross promote with ET. The permanent sets and the permanent lighting will make production so much easier and more cost effective, hopefully freeing up budget for the occasional set that has to be put up and taken down as storyline dictates.
  22. I found this tour the most useful because you can see how they're able to have so many more permanent sets and to have the design room, reception, Eric's office, and showroom all connect to each other continuously, shows the physical depth of the studio space.
  23. Yes, I'd like A Murder Between Friends to finally find a place to air - why a streamer hasn't picked it up, as far as I know, boggles me. The Bitter End has wrapped filming. I really hope it brings to Dame Joan what she wants.
  24. I enjoyed Loni so much and was so sad to hear about her passing. So many of her peers, Morgan Fairchild and Donna Mills among them, all said how kind and terrific she was. I’ll fondly think of her as Will Ferrell and Chris Katan’s mother in A Night at the Roxbury and as Denise Richard’s devious mother on Melrose Place. May her memory be a blessing.
  25. Yes, Matt Rogers does solo interviews and has a show he tours (The Prince of Christmas). I actually enjoy him more than Bowen...
