  1. I think she's very pragmatic. A year or so ago she did a podcast where she mentioned she had to ask Sony for more money because she doesn't drive in LA anymore and uses Uber instead. I think she likes to work as she does now and wants to make a good scene, preposterous writing be damned. So I tuned in once you'd signaled the Jill Signal. I'm glad I did. It is always great to see Jess Walton. I agree - I miss the lion's mane but it's styled well. For 79 years old, she looks great (a couple of years ago, in social media post, she said she'd shaved a few years off her birthday when she'd audition, she used to claim 1949 but she's really born in 1946). The scenes with Victor and Jack and Cane were all good. You can see that Eric Braeden likes working with her: his eyes twinkle. Jess Walton and Peter Bergman have always had great chemistry and it remains undimmed. The lighting on that train set is the best in daytime. All of the actors look like prime time stars in that set. It was easy to compare Jess Walton on the Newman Ranch set vs the Train set - she looked glorious in that lighting. Billy Flynn looks like a child! Peter Bergman has 10 years knocked off him in that lighting.
  2. POTOMAC Stacey and Ashley as enemies is great because they're both nuts and hypocrites. Ashley has zero moral high ground to lecture anyone about being honest. Watching any scene with Wendy in it is now extra fascinating, knowing the fraud she *allegedly* (wink) committed in the background had already occurred. Cookie...Cookie, Cookie, Cookie. I love that Karen is looming large over the season and she's got a lady like Cookie in her corner acting as the surrogate between Karen and the audience, whose unafraid to throw some shade.
  3. Unleash the texts, Guerdy! We want to see them all about Yulia!
  4. Adriana exposing Yulia for being a duplicitous philanderer was incredible. The Haitian Mortician?! This show is top tier and Adriana deserves a mojito and central placement in the cast shot. Production should fire Yulia. She's evil and thirsty as hell. I was *stunned* when I saw this and then I got to thinking...Wendy has always been fake as hell and nothing about her lifestyle added up. And then I got to reading...the evidence is breathtaking in how sloppily Wendy and Eddie were in *allegedly* orchestrating this fraud. They thought they'd make 3 reports to insurers and think the insurers don't talk to each other? They thought they could wear jewels they claimed as stolen and nobody would notice? And then I got to judging. What a couple of absolutely idiotic, morally and financially bankrupt, morons. What hypocrites. What posers. What fakes. How tacky and evil. I have never been a fan of Wendy. I now feel vindicated. I bet Gizelle sure does, too. Somewhere, Karen has to be thinking her omission of Wendy in her pre-jail 'thank you list' and Wendy's "That's not my friend!" is now totally poetic. The statement her spokesman gave to Page Six is beyond pretentious: "Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits. They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans, and colleagues. They look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead." What the f--k? As if she's a humanitarian prisoner of war "back home safely"...as if they weren't arrested at the same time a search warrant was executed where at least 15 allegedly stolen items were found in the house? How preposterous and ego filled. "Dr. Wendy? Listen honey, they'll be calling her Inmate #65982 before you know it.
  5. MIAMI Guerdy self destructed. I'm not sure what she was trying to achieve with how she approached the Julia issue. And I'm firmly on Guerdy's side and despise Julia (more on her in a moment)... It's clear Andy loves Stephanie. Sigh. He always loves the one I dislike. Alexia acquitted herself nicely with the Todd debacle. The ending with Julia and Adriana...WHEWWWWWWW. I cannot stand Julia. She is so tawdry. Andy was wrong about this being a Housewives first though. Ronnie and Mary on RHOV had this storyline 12 years ago!
  6. A pity to see Lauren Koslow sidelined again with only 2 episodes.
  7. Absolutely wild - very enjoyable episode. Lisa is unraveling. Mary's is my favourite - Eat, Drink, and Be Mary.
  8. Has anyone else seen the first 6 minutes of the Potomac premiere? Karen's release from prison is what starts the season, and then it rewinds to Gizelle hosting a coffee time with the other ladies to take about Karen's conviction.
  9. LONDON Another A+ episode. The first half of the episode follow the women in various London locales. Dorinda makes a fabulous return for lunch with her friend of 20+ years, Caroline. They have a gossipy girls lunch and it's clear they are longtime friends who have been there, done that, and bought the T shirt. Karen displayed a quiet strength in discussing her sister's death. The, the ladies all head to Scotland by private jet to stay at a castle hotel that Australian Juliet is a part owner of. It was lighthearted in tone with everyone playing along with the outdoor Highland Games until the dinner when Juliet 'Back to Paddington' Angus tussled with Amanda. So wild and hilarious and petty.
  10. I definitely want Vicki back for next season, the landmark 20th...but I also want Jeana Keough back as she's long been a favourite of mine and she could get under Tamra's skin and was not afraid of her in the slightest. Who could forget Tamra's 'Cyst and Deceased' letter to Jeana? Gretchen is a flop and can go back to 'Liking' transphobic social media posts. It is amazing how without Katie being there for everyone to hate, Gretchen made a total fool of herself in the span of two episodes.
  11. Completely agree. All Y&R has at this point is its cast. There are certainly people who are expensive and not needed (MCE being the most glaring example) but it's certainly not EB, MTS, or PB. That is so ageist and gross of him to say. Jeanne Cooper was kicking ass until the day she died. Look at John Aniston and Joe Mascolo at DAYS, both totally entertaining until their last days on the show. Creativity has nothing to do with the age of a character. The bottom line is you've got a load of hack writers at each of the the current soaps who are tired and recycling old material. I can't imagine the EP that Errol is referring to isn't at BTG. They have so many it would be easy to fire one.
  12. LONDON Another winner of an episode. Do not miss this one folks. Juliet 'Back to Paddington' Angus showed she has not changed a bit when she recounted her confrontation with Amanda to her husband, choosing her words carefully and gilding the lily to cast herself as the victim. Karen is fabulous and I love that she exploded at Panthea when she tried some crap with her. Panthea thinks she's way interesting than she actually is. Her domineering, vain, mother, Shalla June, on the other hand, is a star. Nessie is a trad wife and her home life seems super ideal. Her children are adorable. Australian Juliet's meeting with Amanda was uncomfortable because she is sticking up for Juliet 'Back to Paddington' Angus way too hard. MIAMI It's like Adriana self destructed this episode with that performance at the party. That "I Love My Dog" song was insanity! Although I don't like that Adriana said 'ratchet' to Kiki, I also did not like that Marysol is gunning for her so hard. Meanwhile, Julia's singing is torture. She is tone deaf and so impressed with herself. It's totally cringe. Loved the open house for Alexia and Frankie's Beauty Bar. Alexia is so devoted to Frankie, who is such a delightful soul, I wish them both so well, whatever happens with Todd. I'm curious about how the reunion is going to unfold because the editing of it makes it look explosive and like there are some actions taking place that we cannot come back from. OC Gretchen has fumbled her return so badly and I don't see any point in her returning next season. This recording booth storyline is ridiculous and gross. For the first time in my 19 years of watching this show, I am firmly on Tamra's side when it comes to Gretchen. This whole affair thing is so gross and so outdated and makes Gretchen look 1) stupid (which she is); and 2) bitter (which she is), and 3) fixated on the past (which she is). I also put a lot of blame on Slade who should have declined to be on camera and just stayed out of it. Emily is a big flip flopper and sh*t disturber though. Gretchen called that right.
  13. I'm happy to hear this because Sally should have been promoted to this position a decade ago, at least. She is the one of the few left who knew the real Y&R.
  14. This is about money. Specifically, Sinclair and Nexstar money. Sinclair has always been a conservative leaning company, but it's demands that Kimmel donate to Kirk's family and to Turning Point USA...yeah this is really about Sinclair wanting to purchase Tegna and they need FCC approval to do it. The FCC chair has made comments about Kimmel in the past. He knows he has no authority to oversee the television industry players like Kimmel, so he leaves it to the affiliates to exert pressure as Sinclair and Nexstar are doing currently. Americans better wake up that their first amendment rights are being eroded in the name of corporate greed and corruption at the highest levels.
  15. I cannot wait till you are caught up. Panthea's behaviour at the Buckingham Palace Garden Party is super cringe. Like I was rolling down my couch kind of cringe. Mill Hill...I know...as suburban as it gets. It's really strange how status obsessed she is when she has none of the trappings to justify it. If she was more down to earth she would be so much more likeable, but it's not in her, she's a born snob with none of the street cred to back it up. Juliet 'Back to Paddington' Angus, it turns out, is an ex-friend of Amanda. She self destructs in her first episode without Amanda breaking a sweat. It's a scene to behold because Amanda is so calm and blasé about the whole thing. Karen and Panthea's momentary truce is just that. Nessie has nothing to say of consequence. Aussie Juliet knows she's made the right decisions. You'll see her play paddle with Amanda and she's very easy breezy. Completely agree. I would have preferred an episode resetting and catching up where each of the ladies are currently at. I give Whitney credit too. It was very smart at her. As @Cheap21 said, it totally removes any ammunition the ladies had against her with respect to her business. I'd like to know more about how and why it flopped and which business it was exactly: the beauty company, the Ali Babba jewelry, or something else?
  16. Kate Linder making the Silver Circle...whew...never has missed a chance for self promotion.
  17. She was a good person. She taught music at a primary school hundreds of miles away from London in the city of Hull, in secret, for 13 years, going by the name Mrs. Kent - only the headmaster knew who she was. When she retired from active royal duties, she launched a charity, Future Talent, that is still going strong nearly 25 years later, which funds music education for children who cannot afford access to it. She loved all kinds of music, from classical to pop to Dido, to Eminem and Ice Cube. And of course, nobody who enjoys tennis will forget her kindness to players at Wimbledon:
  18. Soaps airing in the late afternoon has always made the most sense - captures the after school crowd and serves as a good lead in for local news. Y&R has had a 3pm or 4pm slot in Canada for decades.
  19. RH of London So far, this show is flawless. It will be interesting to see what Karen had up her sleeve talking about Panthea with all the other women at dinner (who universally slated her behind her back)...it may have been a cunning test on Karen's part to see how quickly people would turn on her. Nessie is fake. She just praises everyone and everything. This episode really highlighted that. Juliet 'Bad to Paddington!' Angus arrives next week to tangle with Amanda. I expect Amanda to annihilate her. Why Juliet is on this show when it's so excellent is puzzling. It's like the producers got cold feet and thought they needed to further spice it up. Next week we have Panthea attending a garden party at Buckingham Palace. Firstly, she's mistaken its prestige, thinking that Karen's private dinner with HRH The Princess Royal is inferior, when the Buckingham Palace Garden parties are attended by thousands of people who get maybe 10 seconds with one of the Members of the Royal Family attending. Panthea is very cringe.
  20. The Daytime Emmys have not been relevant in 25 years. Once Susan Lucci won in 1999, that was the beginning of the end. After about 2005 or so, they've been totally irrelevant. Nonetheless, I will watch the shitshow that it always is when streamed.
  21. I agree with you there.
  22. Shannon did not plead guilty. She plead 'no contest' in which she did not admit guilt, but did not fight the charges against her.
  23. I totally agree. I think the sentence was the right one and the judge in Karen's case saw the situation for what it was, an entitled woman who'd never been held accountable and surrounded by 'Yes People,' so he threw the book at her. He forced her into sobriety for at least the duration of her incarceration, so at the very least, Karen will have had time to get real with herself. Shannon Beador has never been accountable either and her drunken behaviour on RHOC continues unchecked. She seemed awfully nervous about that polygraph. RH of London Another banger of an episode. Panthea continues to be a miserable hag stuck in her late 2010s peak. She will regret coming for Karen. Nessie must be renting that house on a long lease, right? I can't wait for Caroline to stir things up with Juliet "Back to Paddington!" Angus and have lunch with Dorinda.
  24. I'm consistently cheering on Marysol and Alexia. Stephanie and that damn plane of hers is exhausting to endure. She is such a 'pick me' with short man syndrome. Plus, her hair looks like it's made of concrete. I can't help but be happy for Karen. She did more time than Shannon Beador, who literally drove into a house. I hope she's learned something. 6 months of forced sobriety, I can hope, has helped her.
  25. Nothing for Lauren Koslow...sigh. No wonder I didn't feel like tuning in.
