  1. From 77 - Tina Andrews (Val) Martha Nix (janice) and John Clarke.
  2. Craig Huebing was a temp replacement as Phil Brewer on GH before later being cast as Dr Peter Taylor..
  3. Tony Geary with Anne Jeffreys.
  4. Article on actress Edie Huggins who appeared on TD in 65. She was a trained nurse and consultant on the show. http://www.broadcastpioneers.com/ediehuggins.html
  5. OK Now that you point it out I can see I made a mistake. I did think that Carolee looked a lot older and heavier in that shot than others only a few years previous. My apols! This is more like it.Also from 2011
  6. 2011 shot of Carolee and Hector.
  7. Yes I recall Margaret Klenck being cast as Kitty at the time. Laurie Heinmann was Marian,so Margaret was either a temp or possibly originator of the role and quickly replaced.
  8. When Rick Edelstein came on as co headwriter, both he and Rita Lakin got 16 weeks off.Don't know if that was in one stretch or interspered throughout the year. Peter Burnell comes on in September 68 as Mike Powers. Looking at some pictures from the mid 70's the hospital set appears the same.Did it ever get a revamp? Also, the Powers house in 76 is the same but has new furniture eg sofa and coffee table.
  9. Big Friday cliffhanger!! This week is the first I've noticed that used flashbacks and voiceovers. Lydia is doing great as Maggie.I wonder if the fact we know she's going to be there for years colors our perceptions of the recast? The fashions are great(thank you Orbachs). One thing I dislike is Lydia's hair. Compared to the 60's flip Bethel was rocking before she left,Lydia's looks little stiff and set. In later years I've seen it way blonder and straighter. Carl you need to binge watch and catch up!!
  10. Today we have Zaida Coles first appearnce as Anna. She stays on for a number of years if published cast lists are correct. She is now 81 years of age.She was married for 52 years to Christopher Fairfield Edley president for 18 years of the United Negro College Fund, a prominent Harvard- trained civil rights lawyer, a member of the United States Commission on Civil Rights. She doesn't appear to have done any acting since TD .
  11. Mamie Van Doren appeared as herself in early 76. I think the story was Lesley's millionaire husband Cameron through his connections introduced Mamie to Laura as a way of showing Lresley he was happy to have Laura in their lives (not true). i'm sure at that time a young teen would have been thrilled to meet a fading b movie star from the 50's that she probably never heard of! I wonder how that stunt casting came about?
  12. Fascinating in depth look at the making of the 3 hr Dynasty pilot. Tyne Daly as Claudia?? http://senensky.com/prepping-oil/
  13. Frank Runyeon now performs Christian themed plays around the country. Looks good for 61. http://www.runyeonproductions.com
  14. Was Beverlee's arrival the first mention of Alex or had it earlier been established Alan had a sister?
  15. First sighting of Jody Lee,who stayed for some time.Another character not really mentioned in storyline histories,so it will be interesting to see how what happens with this character.
  16. Ross Petty got cast as Eddie Dorrance but was replaced by Warren Burton. Con Roche had been Rick Ryan on ATWT,Never understood why he wasn't brought back when his sister was on the show for over 30 years.
  17. Linda with George Peppard (original Blake) during filming of 'Oil' pilot
  18. I have read that Harriet was neurotic and overprotective. Incidentally Variety lists Al Morganstern (he also went by this name) as joining in August 66.
  19. Thanks for leading me to that.So surprised to see the dialogue concerning homosexuality in prison. i wonder how the Bill in prison story was received. Have read that viewers dislike these kind of depressing, isolated stories.
