  1. Tonya Pinkins was recently on Tyler Perry's Sistas oddly enough playing a wealthy woman who was lead of a girl group.
  2. This is probably the show's way of touching on that sort of situation without being political. Although, there really are people who get caught up in the medical misinformation game without being political so that is is big deal too.
  3. Vanessa running her son out of town for any man would be wrong, but for Joey? He's so unappealing for aspects of this story to work. I really do want Vanessa to get caught by both of her children. Naomi behaved poorly by trying to call out Jacob in front of their friends. If it's not working then she needs to end the marriage.
  4. DAYS definitely pushed the envelope. I remember when Xander tried to make Leo think that they had sex and Leo knew for sure that they had not.
  5. The "I broke his penis" scenes were clearly inspired by TLC's "Sex Sent Me To The ER". Hayley is very annoyed with Caroline and I have to wonder if she will cause Caroline to have an accident or set her up to get fired. Bill is supposed to be so sharp, yet he downs cold coffee just because Hayley told him too.
  6. That man doesn't look or act anything like Shemar Moore. Maybe that wasn't intended to be racist, but it is rooted in racist thinking and stereotypes.
  7. Vanessa mentioned Joey making veiled threats, but failed to pick up on the fact that he seems to be threatening her son indirectly just by mentioning him.
  8. I was going to say he's too sharp for that, but considering that he has three children with three different mothers he enjoys sleeping around enough where he could be plied and conned with sex. Some how his algorithm started showing Brooke's Bedroom posts, lol.
  9. Very interesting that Andre is apprehensive about having his picture taken. There might be some dirt for Bill to find after all. Vanessa assumed that Dani would agree with her because she's impulsive and worldly, but Dani is not stupid. The difference is that Dani was more willing to flat out call her number whereas Nicole was more diplomatic. She does want Donnell to leave so she can be with Joey and Dani saying it set her off. The last scene was very classic and something that felt very 80s/90s soap. Hayley poisoning Bill slowly and him being totally unsuspecting it so entertaining to watch.
  10. Maybe she said more but all I heard her say was "it's in God's hands". For a soap opera written to reflect the Black community there are going to be some religious references here and there. That said, you don't have to be married to ask someone if they are sure that they want to give up on their marriage.
  11. Leslie saved Ted from being used. Nicole was not going to forgive him, she would have slept with him and then gave him the same "it's over" answer afterwards. That's why Nicole said the fire alarm saved her from making a mistake. Not that Leslie was right for pulling that stunt. Not sure who Vernon was on the phone with, but I guess the Duprees haven't had their full of secrets yet.
  12. It might not be a hint of anything to come, but Malachi Malik (Elon) posted a picture with Trisha Mann-Grant at a film festival. Leslie and Elon would be an interesting pairing and Leslie certainly needs to let go of Ted. Elon is unscrupulous enough for her too.
  13. What I appreciate that BTG has done is develop the characters. The amount of storyline told thus far has been copious and it has paid off in terms of development.
  14. A run and jump is a dangerous idea. I thought that whole scene was just hilarious.
  15. That's right it was something else now that I think back. I was thinking of the dinner she made Tomas at her parents house and Eva tried to get her in trouble for leaving dirty dishes.
  16. Somehow Leslie pulling the fire alarm was such a classic soap move. Petty and hilarious. Bill talking about Dani pushing Andre's baby in a stroller goes to show how unnerved he is. And Naomi borderline encouraging his meddling by suggesting a post-nup was ridiculous. Kat missed her mother's awards ceremony to be with Tomas and now she missed her brother's wedding for Tomas.
  17. Hayley was really pissed off that Bill was kissing Dani and that is driving her to be sloppy with speeding up her plan. Since she seemingly scammed other men with no competition from any other women it was a blow to her ego for her not to have all of Bill's attention and devotion.
  18. Naomi likely won't have to worry about a baby courtesy of her former friend Hayley.
  19. If you consider how quickly Nicole embraced Eva and how willing Chelsea was to extend Eva enough grace to consider her a cousin post reveal it's obvious that the Duprees are supposed to be the embracing type. Hayley portraying herself as having no family would have been a quick, easy in with them.
  20. Ashtray (Andre/Ashley) is a supercouple pet project that was pushed from the start, but it's not working. More positive response might give the writers incentive to elevate Andre/Dani more. Instead of gravitating towards Bill/Dani eventually, the story should progress toward Bill knowing what it feels like to be on the outside. He threw away everything and damaged his relationship with his daughters for a scammer. And he is a schemer so of course there would be room for him to try and break up Andre and Dani's marriage.
  21. That was a whole atomic bomb. Hindsight is 20/20 and I can fully see now how fake Hayley has always been with Bill. That waitress outfit looked like it was off the last clearance at Party City, but that fits perfect with Leslie.
  22. MVJ said that they have a plan and are not just making it up as they go along which is indicative that this direction for Hayley was the intention all along.
  23. Hayley finally unleashed the hood and from what it sounds like she's going to really go for jugular. From her being aggressive with Andre at the beginning to her meeting up with Cuz Randy, this is the boldest that Hayley has been. Vanessa is so easily manipulated.
  24. That song sounds like it is from 1987. Maybe that's the point, though.
  25. He had a son with Angie Stone and I cannot imagine the sort of grief he is feeling right now over losing both parents in the same year.
