  1. What I also liked about today was Martin standing up for himself. Smitty was getting ready to pull the same number of using him for sex again, but he shut him down.
  2. Characters can get their comeuppance in different ways and Eva is sort of getting hers. She helped Leslie plot against Ted and Nicole, now she has her own moment of embarrassment and shame (not public though like she arranged for Ted and Nicole though). Kat is absolutely ridiculous wanting to hold on to Tomas because she doesn't want Eva to win. Neither one of them is going to win with him because he is a loser. Nicole being out in public kissing Carlton is why her indignation falls so flat. Your ex's business partner and friend should not even be on the table for dating. And Carlton is shitty too.
  3. Leslie and that caviar was hilarious. She is trying to be bougie so hard. I was hoping Eva thought Tomas sucked too. He is a rotten person for playing a game with two sisters who already have a terrible relationship. That said, Eva knows she is in the wrong too. Vanessa's remorse and regret is the perfect groundwork to lead up to her seeking revenge on Joey when she finds out the truth eventually. Allison calling in was very much classic soap opera psycho. I think the actress is really settling into playing the nuance necessary to make this character unsettling and not just generic crazy.
  4. That's more a 227 wig than the Jeffersons. Marla Gibbs had that style around late Season 2 through Season 3.
  5. Now another McBride is going to get a target put on them by Joey. My guess is that Naomi is going to have an abortion and Jacob is going to be upset about it. This will be the marital trouble they face that was mentioned in the article about Jacob's brother showing up.
  6. The difference between BTG and the other soaps is that BTG actually is trying to deliver while most of the others are just coasting by on regular viewers while delivering subpar material. It's not perfect (no show is perfect) but it has laid down a solid groundwork.
  7. It was pretty much established that he wanted to get rid of Doug because he hated the connection that Vanessa had to him and wants her all to himself.
  8. Vanessa's attitude toward Doug was "oh, he'll always be there when I come home" but now he's not going to be there and I feel like the actress did a good job bringing that all together for a nuanced, yet devastated reaction for the character.
  9. Somehow Nicole managed to make Dani's marriage about her. I suppose when Vanessa needs to talk to her about Doug she'll find a way to make that about her woes too. Plus, her and the parents were acting as if Andre and Dani are teenagers. Bill is no better than Dani when it comes to not letting go. His whole tantrum was ridiculous as was his saying that he was worried about Naomi and Chelsea. That was his most pathetic scene hands down.
  10. The show having so much going on has hampered some of the relationship development. It seriously seems like the writing team forgets that Ted is Martin's father.
  11. Doug's likely last words being "that's my money" would be fitting considering that money got him into this mess in the first place. And I'm ready for Joey to go, he's a nasty character with no redeeming qualities that can't have that long of a run.
  12. I know, but that's quite harsh lolz.
  13. https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2025-09-24/she-thought-a-general-hospital-star-was-in-love-with-her-then-she-lost-everything
  14. Unstable past or not, June is still Samantha's mother and a lot of young women do need motherly advice even if that mother is estranged. And sometimes it is better to hear from someone who has made mistakes rather than people who profess to be perfect. The Dupree women are mostly privileged and not exactly willing to admit fault.
  15. Jasmine Burke is 42 so a decade older might be pushing it just a little bit, lol.
  16. I cannot stand Smitty. Let Marcel pop a cap in him and bring on somebody new and less judgmental for Martin. The way he speaks to Martin is so condescending and he was horrible to June. He's down there below Ashley on my list of characters.
  17. I'm not sure if that was supposed to be a drag queen of Anita or a lookalike impersonator of Anita, because Las Vegas has performers of both types (kind of like Elvis). If they were going for drag queen it seems like they would have just used a drag performer. But it's nice that the show actually did something that was fluff. Soaps used to do that.
  18. Doug is playing tiddlywinks but thinks he's playing chess. But he's just one poor choice after the other. At first it seemed like Ted was going to lie. But I can't see how Nicole has any room to be angry or upset since she filed divorce papers, made it clear she would not change her mind, went out with another man and then let her family try to humiliate him with that betting game. Go screw yourself was quite a surprising comment from upper crust Anita, but Leslie has pushed her buttons enough to throw class out the window. I thought Leslie was only to be antagonistic, but I guess she did actually want to hear something about her mother.
  19. Oh, it is time that you experienced the very experienced Charity Rahmer. This is iconic soap opera lore that I am happy that I witnessed first run.
  20. I don't want to be mean, but Alex needs to be doing the sort of acting where he's delivering pizza to lonely housewives. The type of acting that Kelli McCarty and Dennis Parker did.
  21. It's about time that Kat told Tomas the truth. You just can't pretend about something like that. Joey was going to end up trying to kill Doug regardless of Doug trying to bring him down. Vanessa is not going to divorce Doug, so Joey has to eliminate him either way.
  22. There is no doubt that Kat is entitled but of Tomas doesn't like that he should end their relationship instead of playing her against her sister.
  23. Accidentally spilling a big cup of ice water would do the trick. Derek couldn't hide feeling that.
  24. There is a lull and that sometimes happens on a soap after a big story line. The show wants to make a big splash in the first year and have lots of excitement happening, but the pitfall of that is that you end up with weeks that a lulls until the next story line or an element of a story line picks up.
