  1. Leslie sure can easily goad the Duprees into laying hands on her. As antagonistic as Leslie is she was hitting on some truths that Anita needed to hear. Ashley needs to leave Derek alone. She does not love him, but is trying to be with him out of pity and to be a saint. Jacob telling Kat to sleep with another guy was hilarious.
  2. I disagree that Anita doesn't hold some responsibility. Taking a friend's idea and then throwing them overboard without a second thought was a terrible thing to do. Anita has somewhat accepted that she had a place in Barbara committing suicide. It depends on the circumstances, but a person can definitely be responsible for driving someone to suicide (four police officers committed suicide post January 6th and there is no doubt what triggered it).
  3. Naomi made a mess by opening up the adoption. If she was going to do it she should have involved Nicole since she is a psychiatrist. All that aside, June being determined to get herself together seems indicative that there might end up being a rift between the children and Martin/Smitty that sends them in June's direction. Leslie has her own misdeeds, but she was right in the way that she called out Anita. Anita can be nasty at times and Barbara's daughter now being a thorn in her side is perfect karma.
  4. It might be a stretch by the actress playing Peaches may have taken a chance at auditioning and convinced casting to let her play an older role. Or she auditioned for something else previously and didn't get it, but casting liked her enough to call her back for another part.
  5. It's television so a lot of story lines are never 100% written to the letter of the law. With that said my genealogy experience has taught me that birth indexes usually list the mother's name because the hospital issues that information to the state at the time of birth. An attorney or law firm could get that information easily.
  6. Anita said she wished that Barbara's family was in the audience and it turns out that someone from her family was, lol. Derek is paralyzed and Ashley starts playing her flaky games giving Derek false hope. No one is worth getting into an accident over, but Ashley is the last person to fly over some handlebars grieving over. Nicole trying to turn up was like watching Viki Lord trying to do the Wobble.
  7. June could play a role in how the kids react if they find out the rest of Martin's secret. If they are really angry they could leave and go stay at Regina's house to give their other family a chance.
  8. Nicole got on my nerves today. It's one thing to move on, but moving on is not dating your husband's business partner. Wasn't here for Vernon and Anita's high horse act either, because they have no room to judge with all their mistakes. I'm in the minority, but I don't mind the pacing of June's storyline the past couple of days. There were months of June being established with not a lot of movement so I'm glad this part of the story is being dragged out. Kat doesn't really like Tomas enough to be in a relationship, but she's got to hold on to him to one up Eva at this point. Barbara just may be Leslie's mother and that trust money will allow Leslie to buy a house in Fairmont Crest and be a noveau riche annoyance.
  9. The show has prioritized giving all of the leading characters storyline, plus having recurring characters in very strong rotation. That isn't a bad thing because, but that does mean that pacing is going to be quicker in some places and slower in others.
  10. Asexuality isn't necessarily a trap because it would just mean the character be taken in a different direction that didn't involve relationships. And asexual doesn't mean aromantic so a compelling story could be how an asexual and sexual person attracted to each other had to work out how to be together.
  11. There probably is some intent to tie the stories together. June is not likely to seek custody, but I can see Regina making waves. That said, the children are old enough to decide where they want to be so a custody case would be a hard sell.
  12. Leslie is hiding from someone because there is no way she's turning down the prospect of some money. "You want to do that again?" Lol. As stiff as Tomas was dancing he couldn't possibly be better at other things. Alison peeking from around the corner was a little scary.
  13. What could Randy's connection to Hayley be? Relative, lackey or side piece?
  14. Derek is behaving like a doormat for Ashley. He was dumb for following Jan's advice and he should let Ashley go. Did Hayley actually get pregnant after the fake sonogram and then lose the baby because of the fall? Then again, shady Randy's involvement implies that she is lying about everything. Not sure what direction this is going in, but Dani being gaslit into blaming herself for something that didn't happen would be an interesting story.
  15. Kat is stiff as a board in that dance with Tomas. She's not going to be able to keep up this relationship much longer.
  16. I think Elon is capable of trying to off Jacob. When this whole story eventually wraps up that could be part of the climax. He looks at Jacob like he wants to burn him with a hot iron.
  17. Jacob got steamrolled by his father. Elon is not about to lose all the money he's gotten on the take. Hayley was like meh when she told Bill she lost their "baby". She certainly has gaslighted Dani into feeling some sort of blame. And Randy already has enough problems without getting caught up in Hayley's scheme.
  18. Hayley's fall definitely wasn't intentional. It messed up whatever her plan is because now Bill is not taking no as an answer for going to the doctor.
  19. I repeat that I feel that Ashley is being pushed because the network wants to adequately fill the quota for White characters getting screen time and have a White character that is supposed to be perfect. You have two very nice White male characters in Smitty and Derek, but the other White female character is a tramp involved with a criminal so CBS definitely wants some balance on that front in the form of Ashley.
  20. Hayley calling Dani dried up was a stretch. But Dani let Hayley goad her into a back and forth when she should have taken Pamela's advice and left. Ashtray was not giving any chemistry or connection at all.
  21. No pregnant woman is going to fall down hard on the floor and then decline to go to the doctor. Hayley is definitely not pregnant. Ashley just wants Andre's money. All that talk about travel is proof of that. Doug is coming unglued and is going to get himself hurt.
  22. Hayley took a Life Call/Life Alert style fall.
  23. The Dobsons grabbing the Emmy before she could get to it lives rent free in my mind.
  24. The ending was very moving. It goes back to when soaps actually displayed actual emotion in the characters. Plus the past couple of episodes added a lot of what soaps lack and that is joy.
