  1. I feel sorry for Eva because she really became attached to Tomas and he has played with her emotions. As far as Kat goes she made a poor decision that she wasn't pressured into (Tomas did pull back the first time) except by herself so I don't think feeling sorry for her fits her situation. But Tomas has played the both of them to different extents.
  2. I think Tomas is getting what he deserves. He has played games with both Kat and Eva so it's just desserts that he is set up for a big let down.
  3. The show hired quite a few newcomers and people with few credits who would start a lower salaries than more experienced names. Alegria is definitely a budget hire since he this only his second role with a named character.
  4. Eva should be more wise about Leslie at this point. Getting the money for her in the first place was dumb. It's clear that Kat is going to have to let Tomas down at some point and hopefully Eva does not take up with him. He is totally skeevy. Andre and Ashley in Paris was hoke filler.
  5. The mistress between Jacob and Naomi is integrity or lack there of and that's it. No more Duprees being cheated on for the time being.
  6. It actually would be a good move if written correctly.
  7. Not Eva asking Ted for money for Leslie. Even after Leslie put her out of the house, Eva is still willing to step up for Leslie. Tomas is having flashbacks, while Kat is having regrets. I can't wait to see how he reacts when he finds out they are not on the same page. If Samantha and Tyrell are June's kids, it's hilarious that Samantha's real name is an older sounding one like Cecille considering how people mock how the actress is much to old to play a teen. Ashley was seriously trying to get Andre to send her to Paris. He really did set her straight with his budget Paris substitute. That is something that is cute when you really can't afford Paris, but from somebody who can afford it's a polite "I don't think so".
  8. Brandon Claybon can emote with his eyes so he has acting ability. His line readings might be stilted at times, but he's been able to handle the material for the most part.
  9. For the most part, the writers on B&B seemed to write to Ronn's limited skill level (save for "IT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN!") and Ronn could bring the words off the page in character as opposed to just line reading. Alex Alegria sounds like he has memorized his lines and recites them back without any feeling.
  10. Dapnee and Timon running through lines https://www.instagram.com/p/DMiyq-AvRF1/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  11. Hayley should have just listened to Bill and Nicole's argument. But she's so nonchalant about it because she is all about securing the bag as usual. Kat looked like she made a big mistake at the end. Sleeping with someone to hold on to them is always a terrible idea.
  12. He was about to sleep with Eva until she stopped it and now he's ready to go back to Kat.
  13. Nicole chewed Bill out. His woe as me act was easily dismantled by "you could have said no". He likes being involved in drama more than he will admit. And that scene was another possibility for an Emmy reel for Daphnee. Vernon is so sneaky and fake noble. Perhaps not completely fake, but he is most certainly one the most passive aggressive, devious patriarchs on soaps. Hiring Naomi has counsel so she could keep the secret was duplicitous to the maximum. Tomas is such a slut and was basically trying to treat Eva like a hookup. At least she had the sense to stop and not allow herself to be used.
  14. They are making great use of that budget and it looks like they put a lot of thought into this performance.
  15. I stopped watching months ago because I really only started watching to see what Beyond The Gates was up against. It seems like the writers just throw any nonsense out because they can rely on being the top soap for 36 years and a reliable fan base. In all honesty every soap should be working like it just debuted even if they are at the top but laziness is easier.
  16. Good episode with great interactions. Tomas is completely in the wrong for telling Kat's personal business to Eva. He's known that Kat is not the nicest person for awhile and he should have told her that directly. Ted looked a bit thirsty when Leslie touched him, but hopefully he's not stupid enough to get involved with her again. Nicole was taking a risk going to Leslie's apartment, but at this point it seems like Nicole is in "don't care" mode.
  17. Her need to be accepted by the country club crowd does indicate a bit of a desire to social climb, but otherwise it hasn't been focused on. At this point the writers are trying to jump start her character after months of standard dialogue and conversations.
  18. Hayley wants to be on equal footing with Dani and that means having children. Plus, a child means she can secure money even if the marriage doesn't last.
  19. Not buying that Allison's husband pushed her especially considering that she didn't go to the hospital. You're bleeding and you're going to go to a diner? Psycho, please. Sharon and Tracy need that check which is why they showed up. Sharon just cannot contain her sarcasm, though. Eva is being masterfully manipulative and Kat gave her the opening to do it. Tomas is just incredibly trashy and a player.
  20. Of course he is, because he's a dirty skank. Ted has messed up but Carlton seems sleazy and even more untrustworthy. I can understand how Dani could come off as naive, but she is the type of character that would be aloof and extremely sheltered from reality. All she knows is modeling and Bill. As far as Anita, she's desperate to make the cover up right by citing the civil rights struggle. To be fair to the writers, I think the "see you later alligator" line was intended to be awkward and bad.
  21. If you count the main cast that was in the credits then everyone except for Malcolm is living. Earle Hyman and Clarice Taylor who recurred as the grandparents both passed on some time ago.
  22. Ashley was being immature and pathetic. Plus, Derek and Shanice weren't even paying attention to that silly show she put on. Nicole has a right to be angry, but I felt her confrontation with Ted was more about the affair than him not telling about Martin. If she wants to divorce him she should just say it and make veiled comments and then walk out. Anita is being much too comfortable in making excuses for the cover up.
  23. I just saw this and immediately said "no no no". There are no words.
  24. When she mentioned the grandchildren coming to their house to stay that was sign that she is ready to draw battle lines and try to shut Smitty out of the family if it comes down to it.
  25. There could be a Dupree nephew brought in. Vernon's family hasn't been mapped out yet so he could be given a sibling that has a son.
